Homie Donuts

This used to be one of my family favorite donut shops to go to. Recently, it's gone down. The lady has rushed us & been rude the recent times we've gone. Since she's rushing us, she misses a lot of things in our order & she even starts on the next customer while still packing up our food and trying to pay. We came in today & it was the final straw.I usually get the cake donuts for my baby & when i split it in half this morning, it was RAW. I made sure to say which donuts/kolaches I wanted loudly & she didn't grab them all & simply threw them in the box whenever I said I wanted a dozen. There was another lady in there that seemed very sweet. Wish she could've taken our order instead.

The odor in this store is overwhelming and offensive, extremely strong curry and fish-like smell that hit me like a brick wall (through my mask) the second I opened the door. I'm not sure what is being cooked in this place, but it is not just baked goods. I was in a rush and did not have time to go somewhere else, so I reluctantly made my purchase and left. Bought some croissant breakfast sandwiches, everyone immediately said they had an unusual smell and tasted 'off'. All went into the trash and I felt terrible for serving them. This was not an issue last time I was here, about 3 years ago.

I surprisingly good little donut shop on my tour of Cypress. I'd been let down by a few of the last shops I visited and thought about throwing in the towel and sticking with Panda and Karma as my favorites. However, I'm glad I stopped by this place on my way to work as they had a surprisingly large selection of different donuts that looked made in house. As usual, I had both the regular glazed and a glazed old-fashioned. Both donuts were warm, delicious and had a glaze with a bit of lemon flavor to it that I love.In short, they deliver quality donuts and I will definitely revisit when I'm in this area.

The female employee was friendly and fast with her service.. the bread on the kolache here is pretty soft and tasty. This place is the closest donut shop out of my neighborhood. My 7 year old twin daughters thought this place was okay but I think they enjoy the donut shop off West Road and Hwy 6 better because they like the egg rolls at that one. I didn't get anything else besides sausage kolaches at homie donuts so I will definitely be in to try other breakfast items next time. The location is ideal for me when I have to run errands and leaving my neighborhood to go to Kroger down the street in Towne Lake.

I'm so glad to discover Homie Donuts. I never knew a donut could be better. Homie's donuts really do taste better. I come for the kolaches and croissants but always finish it off their yummy glazed donuts. My hubby swears their Bear claws are the best he's ever had too. So there - I'm on my way back now to get their freshest dozen!!

Best kolaches and blueberry donuts around. Also, don't know why people say the owner is rude or messes orders up. She's always kind and can hear me clearly so quit mumbling and get off your phone maybe? But I digress. Come here for great food in a warm and welcoming environment.

Super duper good kolaches!! The lady is super sweet and works her butt off. I like the country boy spicy (Texas made polish style sausage with cheese and jalapeños) and the spicy boudin. Kids love the donuts as well. Check it out!!!!

Decided to give this place a try because it's close to the house. Overall the kolaches were average ( the cheese & sausage) The boudin kolache didn't have much flavor. The donut holes were 4 stars they tasted fresh.

I decided to try Homie Donuts after driving by it many times to go to my regular donut shop. What a mistake that was. I charged my purchase but could not get a printed receipt. So I then did the math and found out I was overcharged. The lady kept saying she wouldn't steal from me because she has 2 children. Well I have children and don't appreciate being overcharged. The donuts and kolaches are nothing special. I will not go back. I will go to my usual place where I am charged the correct amount and can get a printed receipt.

Went in about a week ago, I've been wanting to review ever since. The lady in the front comes off rude and does not have good customer service skills. honestly I'm not sure but she always looks mad when I've came. I came in to get breakfast last week for the last time. she was helping someone else in front of me in the mean time. I get that but, She proceeded to ask me what I wanted from afar, I told her want I wanted but i wasn't right in the front yet. So I guess she didn't hear me correctly. She then grabs the wrong thing and i said "I'm sorry I asked for the other one" she quickly said "WELL WHY YOU DIDNT SAY!" I was like why you didn't ask. It's not my fault you're not paying attention and then get mad at me for not hearing. Anyway she just gives a bad vibe -no body wants to deal with that especially in the morning. and if I'm going to spend $12 on breakfast I'd rather spend it somewhere else.
