This chain from Austin moved into Mid-Main about a year ago completely messing up the vibe of one of my favorite near town blocks. I wouldn't care so much if the pizza were better. You'd do better at either of the other two pizza-by-the-slice spots up main st downtown.. or the surprisingly good chain that recently moved into midtown that starts with the last letter of the alphabet. The margarita pizza had wayyy too much garlic and I love a good old garlic overload but this level is eye watering and I know ill smell it on my own breath for the next day and a half. Service way just fine. No complaints there. As a long time downtown Houston resident I've never been a fan of the "Austin" vibe. White, privileged, liberal, quirky.... I prefer my pizza place run by 30 related Albanians who just crank out the pies one by one.Keep your Austin out of my H-town.

I stopped by for a slice of ready-made pizza. Each piece was about $5 and they're about the same size as a Costco pizza slice. I really enjoyed the crust: it had a nice crisp and held the toppings together nicely. The toppings were okay and didn't have much flavor. Their fresh pies and sandwiches looked delicious though so I may need to come back to try those. There's limited parking in the lot, but there's street parking available along the side of the restaurant. Home Slice mostly has outdoor seating. The ambience is very cute and homey and they use heaters for the cold weather. There are a few booths inside that can seat about 2-4 people per booth.

I've been sooo happy they brought Homeslice to Houston and to make it even better it is down the street! I order from this location so much and it is great every time. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Sometimes it get busy and crowded inside but they do a good job of getting through the line quickly. The staff at the counter is always friendly and fast! They have limited seating inside but plenty of seating outside in their patio that's decorated with colorful string lights. It's so pretty at night! I have tried everything from the pizzas, to the salads, to the sandwiches! My favorite things to get are the margherita pizza and the Italian sub. The Italian sub is one of the best sandwiches EVER. No exaggeration! And it is MASSIVE! Pizzas are not customizable unless you build your own but honestly their tried and trues don't need any customization anyways. They also serve pizza by the slice, both regular and Sicilian style but only limited types. This place is a must try!! Some of my favorite pizza ever!

I'm not exactly sure what this establishment was before but they have done a beautiful job in remodeling and revamping this restaurant! To be honest, I was expecting something in and out like what they have in Austin and I was pleasantly surprised that it was a whole experience! The waterfall, the monuments, the seating area outside, and the outdoor dining area was so incredibly nice for a nice sit down and chat. I was surprised to find they had their own parking space, which is a major plus especially being in downtown! And since I was really just here for the quick, in and out type of service, and they very much delivered! I walked in, ordered my food, and it was ready in about four minutes! I needed some energy before my state exam and I'm guessing this slice of pizza gave me luck because I passed!

I really give this place a 3.5 closer to 4! Parking SUCKS, but considering it's in midtown and the few spots it has, that's a win. It is right next door to breakfast klub so I've seen it get pretty packed. You can do a walk up to the side window for single slice pizza which I think is pretty cool but it still can take awhile. Nothing too much to rave about, it's a pizza! Cool that an Austin joint was able to make its way to Houston..

The pizza is sooo tasty and pretty authentic to NY style pizza in NY! The sauce is really good and the size for the price isn't too bad. The staff were super helpful and friendly and if you're waiting for a takeout order there's a ton of cute shops around. It's a really cool vintage pizza shop with lots of seating inside and outside. I got my craving fulfilled for sure :)

My friend was excited to try this since we both love a good pizza (who doesn't right?) and made the trek here on a Saturday in August. They also have a location in Austin so there was buzz about this spot coming to H-town.Slice or whole pie? Both of those are here. They also offer salads, calzones, and subs; typical non-pizza items you'd expect to find. But let's face it, you're here for the pizza. We did a large pie with pepperoni and mushrooms. Also did a meatball pizza slice as well that we split. Slices came out fairly quickly. You can tell they've been sitting out for a while as there was no cheese pull and the crust was very hard although taste is there. When the pie itself came out, the texture was much better and matched the taste. I guess you trade the convenience/timeliness of the slice for the higher quality that comes with a fresh pizza pie from the oven.Since it's located in Midtown, I'm sure I'll find myself here for a slice or two after hookah or bar visits. I'd also be open to grabbing a whole pizza with some friends should we find ourselves here.

Pizza is just as good as Austin and customer service was great. The soda machine wasn't working and they ended up giving me a bottle of coke instead. Great customer service!

She's a homeslice girlie for life. From Austin's og location to this one, they're doing more than fine. The only issue is horseless folks will come and ask you for things when on the patio, so dinner can be a little stressful, but that's not the restaurant's fault! There's only so much they can do.Slices rang from $4-5 which is honestly the perfect amount for one person.

Recently dined at Homeslice, and I must say, I was impressed! The food was delicious, with a wide variety of pizza options to choose from. We ordered 3 large pizzas: White Clam, Sausage, Ricotta Cheese, and Roasted Red Peppers and Margherita. Plenty of food for 8 people, with 2-3 slices leftover, lol. White Clam was by far our favorite. Second runner up was the Ricotta Cheese Pizza and then Margherita. Pizza is thin crust, and I typically prefer thick/doughy crust, but honestly it was not bad! What really stood out to me was the quick service. Despite it being a busy evening, the staff worked efficiently to ensure that our orders were taken promptly and our food arrived at the table in no time (about 15 minutes of waiting). It's always a plus when you don't have to wait too long for your meal!I found the prices at Homeslice to be reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes of the pizzas. Side note: Parking can be a pain on a Friday night, even though we were able to snag a space when we got there. Our friends had to drive around a little bit for parking. They also have outdoor seating and welcome dogs! A great time to enjoy the outdoor weather too!
