Food was ok but the prices were much higher than printed on the menu that they have at the ordering window. You need to ask what the current prices are before you order, otherwise your in for a big surprise! We will not go back!

If you are ever around Livingston, seek this place out. It's a mom and pop place. Had some very good food. I had the chopped brisket plate. Wow! Some of the best I've had. Husband had the boudin links the spicy. Omg. They were just the right kind of spice. If we're ever back around we are definitely going back. So many antiques to look at as well. Takes ya back in time.

I lived in Livingston 2 years before I tried it and it's such a cute place and the food is amazing a bit pricey but very worth it the onion rings and fried pickles are the bomb and they come in such big portions which is great.

The wife and I stopped here to grab a bite for lunch. The decor could be called garage sale collectible. The wife of the owner answered all are questions and took our order. We had a chopped beef sandwich and fries. The portions were good, the beef was moist with a great smoked flavor. Fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the Center, just as we like them. As a first time customer the owner served us each a nice slice of homemade pumpkin pie, which was very good. We definitely will stop here again when in the area.

I had lunch recently with friends in Livingston at quite an interesting eatery. This place is called the Hitch-n-Post. It is located on F.M. 350 South. Right down the road from Florida's Kitchen. To start off with let me say the people there are extremely nice and accommodating. They made us feel very welcome, and since it was our first time, we were given a free dessert. The menu is quite large. It varies from bbq, spuds, CFS, pork chops, hamburgers, chicken strips and much more. Now the decor, this is difficult to describe. The outside can best be characterized as reject or leftover yard sale novelties. Junk yard art may be a better way to express it and gives you a clearer image of what we saw. Whatever you call it, it is quite amusing. I was intimidated (a little scared) initially until I saw where our table was and then I felt better. I thought I may have to call the health department first. They have a small inside dining area with about 5 tables. The room was comfortable and clean. We started with an appetizer of boudin balls. They were excellent with ranch dressing. Crispy on the outside, spicy and flavorful on the inside. My self and one of my friends ordered the chopped beef and sausage link sandwich for $7.99. The fries were extra for $2.50. Both types of meat on one sandwich. So big and good I could only eat half. We also ordered some fried pickles and these were probably the best I've ever had. The fried pickles were $4.50. These were hand breaded and not pre-frozen. They gave us some complimentary onion rings and they were large, crispy and also hand breaded. Another friend ordered a cheeseburger that looked fantastic. She said it was very good. The meat was fresh and not frozen and the burger was both hands full, large. Our free dessert choices were chocolate cake and pecan pie. The cake I would order again. Would I go back again you ask? I sure would and I also recommend it to anyone in the area. The Hitch-n-Post was an intriguing experience. Everyone there was country-friendly. Full of smiles and asking us to come back again. Before you leave, take some time to look around at the many junk art items and read some of the interesting signs. This is another #BestBites approved restaurant. This place is even on FB. Check them out.

Drove out of the way to check out the BBQ here. It was not worth the time or money. The staff was very nice a friendly and its a cool funky little place. Ordered Sliced Brisket. It was dry, chewy, and lacked flavor. The smoked Turkey was not breast, but what I would call a preformed loaf. I could not recommend the BBQ here.
