Hibachi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

I sat, saw a roach walk by and nope. Walked right out. It wasn't busy at all at 6pm. One party occupying one of the grills me and another couple at the table we were about to eat at. Empty at dinner time for a reason. Looking at Yelp before typing this and I should have done that before wasting my time. Unwept floors, lobby smells like smoke, decorations unraveling and bugs? The staff seemed unbothered when I told him and pointed where the roach went.

Food not so good...over saturated with sauce and scallops over cooked. The salad was the best thing about the whole meal and the plum wine. The 2 stars is accurate.

We waited over an hour for our table so we just got drunk at the bar had the best time when our awesome chef hit the grill.

Went here for my birthday with a group of my friends. Food was amazing and drinks were decent. Besides that, BEWARE OF THE EXTRA GRATUITY CHARGE they add on. We were first given the itemized bill with a 20% gratuity added onto already and as all groups do, we split the bill from there. Unfortunately, my friend's card got declined when he tried to pay for the whole bill for my birthday. The server Lisa brought it back to let us know so I just handed her my card without looking at the receipt and I knew tip was already handled. She comes back with the final receipt with my signing sheet with just the signing receipt with the grand total and an "additional tip" matching the exact 20% of what was originally added. Essentially, they tricked us into tipping 40%.I didn't realize until the next day after looking at the original receipt we had with the original 20% added already. I called the manager and he basically told me since I signed it, I meant to double tip completely not acknowledging the fact that 20% was already added. Terrible management and lack of customer service. Definitely will not be returning after this incident since they care more about tip than returning customers.

10/10 will go again.... I was full fast. Staff was nice and attentive. No sushi mehhh sad about that.

Food was mediocre. The service was extremely slow. We waited about an hour & a half to be seated.The stoves were broken, we had to sit at different tables, & the place is loud & dirty!Will NEVER go back! EVER!

Service was extremely slow for only having 2 tables in the whole restaurant.The point of this whole experience is for the chef to be entertaining. We had the most boring chef, Im sure i could have been better on the grill. He barely spoke to us. On top of this, is there no air conditioning at all in the building? I get that its going to be hot because of the grills but my party was dripping sweat before any of the grills were turned on.Big no thanks

Really wanted this adventure to be a great experience for a birthday. Unfortunately, it was not. Believe the other reviews. The food was bland and not cooked properly, two out of three people got sick within an hour of eating and way over priced for what you get. Not to mention they include 20% tip on the bill and don't forget the $30 for parking.Was very nervous about getting a seat on a Friday night at 6pm, but the place was less than 30% full. Not a good sign to start off. It was very cold inside but would not have minded if the food was worth what we paid. We ordered one steak and shrimp and two filet and shrimp meals. The cook didn't put the plates in front of you while they were cooking and hand you the food when it was done. Instead, he set the plates next to the grill and cooked almost all food then gave you the plate. Unfortunately, my steak was cold when I got my dish. Overall, the food was bland at best. I did try the filet and it definitely was not fresh. Think this is what lead to the food poisoning for two of us. They do not serve soup like others. Shrimp was definitely farm raised and not from the ocean. Outside of the poorly cooked meal the service was decent. The cook did no entertainment as they usually do except for throw shrimp for you to catch with your mouth.The view is great of the river but the decor was as bland as the food. Very drab dining experience.Now for the final straw and the 1 star rating. My bill was $212 for 3 people with 1 cocktail each. Couldn't figure it out till I dug deeper and found they automatically include a 20% tip. I normally tip 20% but for this service I probably would only leave 15%. Another $30 to park. Based on this, I will never return.

this is what we found in my friend's drink lastnight. we ended up not getting anything to eat because we were in shock. The cook laughed it off, the manager didn't know what to do just very unprofessional

SAW A MOUSE WHILE EATING HERE. DO NOT GO. We didn't even get a discount and they didn't try to catch the mouse. The health code people really need to come here.
