Hecter's Kitchen

So glad I stumbled upon this local gem! Hecter's is a diner that has traditional diner fare as well as soulfood and Italian dishes. It is located downtown near sweat auburn market/children's hospital of Atlanta/Edgewood and it serves breakfast and lunch. Lunch is a la carte or buffet for just $10.95. Meals come with w sides and a drink. Buffet also includes delicious cakes and fudge for dessert. Portions are huge! The favorites so far are their fried catfish, chicken and waffles, Mac n cheese and desserts. Much more to enjoy like seafood lasagna or their other lunch items. The menu is very affordable. Even though the food was great I have to say what stood out the most here was the service! Everyone is so lovely, servers are the right level of attentive, food was quick, and even the owner came out to say hello. They cater as well as have free parking out front and street parking if full. Definitely check this place out!

I found Hecter's because they are participating in this year's #ATLBurgerWeek competition and I gotta say they're bringing the heat!!! The burger is the Hecter's Double Stack -- double patty, double cheese, bacon, with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle served on buttered Texas toast and that thang was huge and packed with flavor! The kicker is that it also comes with poutine fries AND crawfish beignets! These crawfish fritters are EVERYTHING!!!! I even ordered some extra and burned my mouth trying to eat them before I got back to the office. Nice set up outside to wait due to COVID-19... super friendly server who gave me a bottled water while I waited on my order and just all around great experience. This will be a tough entry to beat for the burger week competition... total package!

My work partner and I work for Grady EMS and decided to stop here on the way out from the Grady ER. We were not at all disappointed once we opened the box of food in the ambulance. A huge burger, 2 sides, cake, AND a drink?! For a good price??? We were so excited. Everything was AMAZING. The burger was incredible with every bite. We ended up splitting it because of the size and we finished the meal both full. They were fast, very sweet, well priced, and provided incredible food. Thanks y'all.

Very nice service. Very low key place but always good food. Portion was enough for lunch and even my diner.

Located kitty corner from the Sweet Auburn Curb Market, Hecter's serves as the store front for a local caterer. During the day they do a brisk business serving sandwiches, salads and a daily meat and two special to nearby hospital and business workers. My only foray to Hecter's had me chowing down on two thick slices of meatloaf, hot mashed potatoes with gravy and black eyed peas with a thick slice of cornbread. This was a delicious meal, although the cornbread was a little bland. The only drawback to Hecter's is that it's strictly take out, there's no seating for you to enjoy your food on site. I'd love to see them add some bistro tables and chairs in front of the building where there's plenty of room.Hecter's is a nice addition to the area.

I normally don't do reviews but I had to for Hecters kitchen. The burgers here was great and I felt like I was getting my money's worth because it actually filled me up. I highly recommend this place for the burgers.

Unbelievably tasty breakfast. Grits to die for. Cheesy eggs. And a welcoming atmosphere. I'll be back to the buffet!
