I had lunch there two other women and we were each raving about our three different menu items. I had the Sri Lanka chicken sandwich and when I saw the large portion I was sure I'd be taking some home. Wrong! There wasn't a crumb left on my plate cause I kept eating the delicious chicken breast with crispy coating and spicy aioli. Delicious! We liked that it was served on actual plates so there was sensitivity to the environment in making that choice. The man who served us was helpful and pleasant so we wouldn't hesitate to return. It was a great choice for a superb lunchtime meal !

Exceptional food with high quality ingredients -- you can taste the difference. We were so impressed with Chef Tam - I feel like we stumbled onto a hidden gem.

Haven Local sits within the Creek Side Market building next to Creek Side Restaurant & Deli. It appears to be Indian owned/operated by a friendly chef who was only to happy to make me any breakfast I wanted within his inventory of supplies. That turned out to be something like a sausage egg & cheese sandwich on a oversized brioche roll. It was fantastic, but so overloaded that he soon brought me a plate, real flatware and an extra roll to reconstruct the sammy if necessary (I brought it home). The knife and fork simplified the eating and kept my hands free of the original dripping mess that I tried to pick up and covered my fingers in runny egg and delicious sauce , but made this creation so distinctive. It was an excellent mess! Coffee was secured next door at the Creek Side Restaurant & Deli, which shared the large market building. Obviously, these smaller retailers rent from the market and brewery that round out the tenants. The scattered tables made for a very casual atmosphere, and invited people to hang out and enjoy themselves. I certainly did. Haven Local went out of its way to accommodate my short stay, and I appreciated the effort. Elkins Park has a very interesting commercial zone right here and I hope they are able to maintain and expand it.

The food was great The service was good. I had a burger and my son-in-law chicken. The food was excellent. We truly enjoyed everything. Though you had to go to counter to order it was still a great experience. I would sincerely recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was quiet at the time we were there but with more people I am sure it would be the same.

Haven local is such a gem in Elkins Park!!! Chef Tam is committed to getting to know the local farms and their products and it shows! His wings are large, thick, juicy and perfectly cooked. His fries are a hit! We love it all and he is also just the best addition to the neighborhood!!!

This place is a 10/10. Everything is made fresh to order and the chefs spin on his menu is always a win! The food is hearty and each bite leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend his chicken sandwich!

This place has the best burger in Cheltenham. I know.I've tried all the burgers in Cheltenham. This place has the best burger. It's an unassuming counter in a market style food hall next to the Elkins Park train station.You are served by the person at the counter and they're friendly, but really it's like a spot you hit after your train drops you off for a bite or drink before heading home. I don't know what else to say here besides try the burger. It's really the best burger in Cheltenham... possibly the area... including Abington. I kid you not.

This was my second time eating here and it is a totally undiscovered gold mine. "Farm to table" restaurants have nothing on this place. The ingredients are ACTUALLY all coming from nearby farms. Ask him about the food! The man literally grinds his own sausage and mixes his own seasoning. the pop of flavor is so soul warming. It's the only place I want to eat breakfast. Other places you leave your plate feeling kinda sick/lethargic. this place you leave feeling like you can take on the world- the ingredients are just that clean and fresh, and cooked with love. Wish I had taken a pic for ya but I ate it all before I thought of it. Love the ambiance- such an artsy location where the indoor seating feels like an outdoor park. Great outdoor seating too in such a quaint downtown area full of beds overflowing with wildflowers this time of year.

Yummy! Found this place on Yelp cause I was looking for something close by, and I'm glad I stopped by. Limited menu but boy was it delicious! Was recommended the fried chicken sandwich and it delivered! It was flavorful spicy ( not hot spicy) and the bun was soft and the condiments were just right. Not pretty to look at but tasted amazing!

Stopped here on a road trip randomly looking for a quick bite. So so glad we did, we got the fried chicken sandwich with toasted spices. We thought we were going to take it to go, but then we took a bite and finished it on the spot. Not lying when I say it was the best fried chicken sandwich of my life. Made our entire trip!
