Havana Vieja Latin Restaurant Miami Beach

A very cute place to eat with dog friendly terrace. Staff is friendly, shoutout to Augusto! We had a cuban sandwich and ropa vieja, both great. Prices are fair for food. Cocktails are very good but pricey, I guess expected for the area. Dessert was flan and it was amazing. So creamy!I would recommend for the food and atmosphere!

It's 7 PM Friday, it's 95 degrees. I ain't got no...food to eat! Just kidding -- it was Thursday night and 75 degrees in Miami for our annual girls trip. Tonight we were craving Cuban food and this place hit the spot!We initially asked to be sitting outside for a table of 4 and were told it would be an hour wait (inside no wait). We strolled around the block and returned in 15 minutes to be seated outside. Our server was Manuel who did an excellent job. He was busy juggling lots of tables but very attentive and had a great energy. He answered all our questions about the menu & provided recommendations.We ordered the signature chicken dish, steak, salmon and the chopped salad with shrimp. This way we could all get a taste of the variety of this menu - you'll want to eat everything!The chicken was so tasty & delicious. Like marinated with mojo seasoning, maduros, black beans and rice. The steak was tender and tasty. The salmon was cooked perfectly and paired with a side salad. The chopped salad had lightly breaded shrimp and the dressing was so good. We all shared a South Beach flavored mojito pitcher - excellent! Highly recommend and need to go back for coffee and dessert.

Extremely expensive for subpar paella. I've definitely had larger portions elsewhere before for much cheaper and with much better quality.The service and ambience were great though!

Traveling in Miami we wanted to try some Cuban food. My wife had the whole Snapper she loved it, it was cooked perfectly. It was huge and she finished the whole thing. I had the Ropa Vieja, it was good but a little sweet. We were surprised that this is actually a chain that the restaurants go by different names. The service was very good.

Great and fresh food in South Beach Miami, FL! My server Nicolas was a huge help in having me have a great morning with fresh food, Cuban coffee, and authentic guava juice! Easy place to get to via uber or ride share

Me and my girlfriend went in just a few minutes before they closed for a late night dinner date. It had rained all day and the outside was still a little wet but if you know Miami you know the rain had a way of making the night time a little bit more sexy and intimate. We sat outside under the tents and lights and photos decorate the walls. Pedro was our camarero and made the night extra special. We were the only two people in the restaurant and Pedro made us feel like we were the only people in miami and took excellent care of us. He suggested the empanadas as a starter and these were the most delicious and flaky empanadas we had ever tasted. Muy delicioso! We ordered two dishes and shared them both. The portions were big enough that we could've had 2 more people eat with us and everyone would have left satisfied. The cubano sandwich was great, but didn't come with sides, we were able to share the rice and beans that came with the shredded beef. All in all everything was amazing and Pedro helped to really bring the vibes of an old Cuban town in the cool air of the night under the stars.

I didn't try anything but the chicken empanadas but they were absolutely delicious!!!! This is a cute little restaurant underneath the Chelsea Hotel. The service was excellent and quick. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town!

This was one of the best dinners we had in Miami - Hawaiian shrimp ceviche, paella, and (not pictured) sweet plantains. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our waiter was very kind and efficient. He checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying all of our food and ensured we had plenty of water. The restaurant itself had a fun esthetic - we sat outside and couldn't stop looking all at all of the pictures and doing a bit of people watching. The bathroom was clean and inside looked cute.

Amazinggg vibes here! My friends and I came for lunch and loved it. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly! The food was great and the presentation and restaurant itself was cute. Loved it!

If you're thinking about going here because of Paella, don't even bother. The seafood they put in it is not fresh. It tasted old. A little bland and overpriced. We barely finish it. Sorry, I wanted to like it. The drinks were really good but overprice as well. If you are going to charge that much, make sure it is really good. The rest of the food was just so so. Service was pretty good.
