Great food and great environment. Ordered the sharable mojito which was refreshing and was about 5 drinks person. I ordered the famous chicken and it was so good. I wish I didn't live across the country. I've never had Cuban food like this. Service was quick. Didn't have reservations but was seated right away on a Friday night.

We were there a couple days ago as we love Cuban food.Well we ordered the pork chunks and it was awfully bad, zero flavor, way over cooked and hard as a rock! Rice and beans weren't flavorful either and there was some side that had onions and it was terrible, had a pickled flavor to it.Our waitress was ok, she could've been better, as we sat in back. Bathroom super tight and not a lot of privacy, only thing good there was music playing Decor was cool looking

Absolutely phenomenal authentic Cuban food. We celebrated our 7th anniversary here. We dined outside and started off with drinks, their classic Cuban Mojitos. Our flavor of choice was the Guava & Passionfruit. We skipped appetizers and went straight for the entrees. We ordered Vaca Frita De Pollo aka Shredded Crispy Chicken and Ropa Vieja aka Flank Steak Stew. Hubby's Vaca Frita De Pollo consisted of crispy griddled chicken topped with onions and Cuban mojo (citrus onion sauce) served with white rice & black beans. My Ropa Vieja consisted of braised and shredded stewed in homemade criolla tomato sauce served with white rice and black beans. Whenever I visit a Cuban spot I have to get the Ropa Vieja. It's an automatic choice for me and I'm never disappointed. Havana's ropa vieja hit its mark and then some! The meat was tender, juicy and mouth watering delicious. Hubby enjoyed his food as well. We also ordered a side of Truffle Yucca Fries and Sweet Plantains. I just know they had someone's 95 year old abuelita in the kitchen whipping out our phenomenal dishes.

There are a couple of Havana 1957 locations in South Beach with this particular spot being at the corner of Espanola Way and Ocean Drive. As I walking down Ocean Drive, I was trying to find a spot where I could take in the Miami vibe, while also getting a taste of some quality Cuban food. A quick search on Yelp and a happened walk-by, and I found myself at Havana 1957! I was quickly welcomed in and sat on the covered patio. While the day was not blazing, it was a typical overcast day in Miami, so hot. I am usually not an outside sitter, but given the coverage, the fans and of course he people watching, I just had to today. Waitress came by and I tossed in a Mango Mojito to start while I browsed the menu. I knew I wanted either some form of Ropa Vieja and/or an empanada as part of my meal, and to my surprise they had Ropa Vieja Empanadas! The app came with two good sized, perfectly fried empanadas that were filled with shredded beef and sided with a sweet pineapple dipping sauce. The pineapple sauce was a bit thin, so I did not capture much while eating, but the steak and sauce in the empanadas was enough. For my main I decided to go with the Shredded Crispy Chicken with white rice and black beans. The chicken was crispy from being pan fried, while still juicy from the sizing of the pieces along with being topped with sliced onions and lightly covered in a citrus onion sauce. The white rice and black beans, while simple, were pure perfection. Getting a full bite of rice, beans, chicken and onion was delish! Keeping theme with great, service was stellar as well. My waitress was kind, accommodating, friendly and attentive. Hostesses were friendly and welcoming without being obnoxious on the sidewalk. As with most places on Ocean Drive, Havana 1957 has a clear Cuban vibe that can be felt through décor, lighting, art and furniture and also heard through the speakers playing traditional Cuban music inside and out. Overall, very happy I stumbled upon Havana 1957 on my last day in Miami. Enjoyed my time and meal, and of course that mango mojito!

Friends wanted some Cuban food while in Miami and decided to try Havana 1957. I ordered the Cuban Combo (Ropa vieja empanada, cod croquettes, fried pork shoulder bites, yuca fries, bacon wrapped shrimp, Canadian Nueske bacon, tamal in the husk and black beans hummus accompanied with Cuban crackers, cilantro aioli and sour pineapple sauce). My favorite was the ropa vieja empanada. The restaurant sits on the cute Española Way. This location seems very touristy.

Havana 1957 is located on Ocean Beach near the Art Deco District. It is such a beautiful strip and vibe over here. Perfect for a stroll and adoring all of the beautiful architecture and decor around here and right across from the beach. We stopped by Havana 1957 for dinner after an afternoon walk down Ocean Drive. I wanted more Cuban food, so this was the perfect place. We were greeted immediately and sat inside. The restaurant has some beautiful decor and even section with instruments on display for a live band. I loved the fact that their paper placemat is a collage of the Cuban history and culture. I wanted to take one home but forgot. They have pretty good menu options. I wanted to try a little of everything, so we ordered the Cuban Combo, Cuban Sampler and Tropical Ceviche. Everything tasted SOOOO good. I mean, the ropa vieja, yucca fries, croquettes, sweet plantains, empanada, ceviche were all so delicious. The green sauce was so good too. I wish we had these back at home. The service here was amazing! Thank you to our server and staff who were very attentive and provided exceptional service. I would definitely return when I come back to Miami. Great food, service and overall experience.

Wanted to get a fill of Cuban food while in Miami Beach, and this was one of the higher rated joints so checked it out. Location is right on Española Way so definitely for the tourist crowd. Vibe was cute and played on the Cuban feels. Ordered the famous set that came with a sampler of the chicken, the pernil, and the ropa vieja. Famous chicken was dry af. This was pretty bad. The other two were okay though definitely on the small side. Also got the lobster seafood stew. Pretty good, though not very generous serving wise considering the price. Overall, food was alright but definitely overpriced. They also automatically charge you 20% service charge. Touristy af and food is lackluster. Go elsewhere unless you just want the tourist vibes as you drink a mojito.

This visit has been a few for us each time visiting Miami. There's a few location in the surrounding area. Lincoln road, Espanola way (which is where we had dinner), ocean drive which I believe maybe two location down from each other. Espanola way, the place we've been to a few time has always been greats it does get quite busy as it's along restaurant alley line with different places to dine. Reservations do help as it could be a wait depending in time. Majority of the seating it's outside along the patio and sidewalk as well as smaller dining area inside. If you're seated along the sidewalk, heads up you will have pedestrian walking by. As well as the side of the patio along Espinosa way. Either way, it great people watching. Menu does offer a good selection of dishes. Everything was great. The fish paired with the sauce was great. The sampler plate, with the famous chicken, pork and beef served with two sides and plantain. Full of flavor and always delicious. The cocktails menu does have a lot of mix drinks option as well as wine. Heads up, most of the restaurants do already add a 20 percent service fee so be advised. We had an additional drink added to our bill and noticed it. The waiter did take off the item but when bill was paid, the 20 percent was still from the original bill.

I don't know or care if this spot is a tourist trap. The food was DELICIOUS. And the service even better. There's plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. All the outdoor tables are shaded which is nice because it was hot !I don't know if this is considered authentic Cuban food but my pork bowl was extremely flavorful. Shout out to our server Laura for being so kind & helpful.
