It was pretty good I had the chicken fried stake delicious too bad they didn't sell smash potatoes only baked potatoes

The food was awesome, everything is priced reasonably for all you get. The set up is quick service so you're eating within 10 mins of walking in which made it even better with a pack of hungry kids! They also serve breakfast all day Family friendly atmosphere with great great customer service

Free boiled peanuts, sweet rolls and cornbread with your meal. Very Texan vibes throughout. Food was great and staff was polite. Overall the food was decent for breakfast foods. they have very generous portions We both ordered the meat lovers omelette and the pancakes, they were good and I like that they have sugar free syrup also. the rolls and bread is complimentary and fresh I would definitely go back and try the bbq it smelled like goodness! Bye for now :)

We loved this place!!! The ribs were done just right, with a little tug to get them off the bone, juicy and smoky. Brisket, top notch. Smoked sausage had that snap, and smoky, juicy goodness, smoked turkey was juicy and took to their slightly spicy sauce well. My boys were most excited about the bags of chips on the wall, they're 9 and 11, I'll work on their culinary education. They did enjoy the ribs and sausage. Service was friendly, quick, and they really took care of us. This was the last dinner of our visit and it was the way I wanted to say farewell to Houston. Thank you so much for the smells and the meat stuck in my teeth!!!

The only thing that I was disappointed about is that I couldn't fit more food in my stomach due to the heavy, drinking from the previous night. They have a full barbecue spread I sampled the burnt ends and the brisket and I have never tasted meat so tender. I've got the breakfast combo with the pancakes that were fluffy and amazing the home fries with perfectly seasoned and cooked potatoes delicious eggs, and amazing sausage. They also have yeast rolls that look like clouds of heaven out in the drink area. You can get as many as you want with your meal. The service was great everyone was friendly the ambience is very back home barbecue family, picnic vibe I would very much come here again, but less hung over because I wanted to stuff my face more. The only thing that I didn't care for was the okra. It just wasn't good. Everything else 5/5

This was our first stop on Saturday when we got to Houston, as we were meeting a former coworker of my boyfriend's for lunch.The meat here is very good. We each got a two meat platter; I got ribs and brisket and my boyfriend got sausage and brisket. Both of my meats were tasty but the ribs had some sort of brown sugar rub and was really good. I got mashed potatoes and fried okra for my sides. I'm not really an okra person but the rest was good.Definitely don't skip out on the peach cobbler for dessert, as that was also excellent.This restaurant is set up cafeteria-style where you grab a tray, tell the employees what meats and sides you want, and then pay at checkout it and find yourself a seat.Overall everything here was very good and I'd come back when in town.

Mother's Day breakfast was great at HCSH! We met up early on this rainy Sunday, to avoid the rush. It was clean and comforting inside with the smells of BBQ floating around. I got my usual, one meat plate, moist brisket, with refried beans and tortillas. Simple yet hearty, exactly what I wanted. The rest of the family enjoyed a full spread. Loved being able to chat with Mom, enjoying a wonderful meal, to get the day started. Love you Mom!

BBQ is NOT one of my favorite food's personally. I came here for lunch with a coworker and it's a decent place with lotsa cool memorabilia all over the joint. I had some smoked chicken and some ribs along with Mac n Cheese plus some corn on the cob. Freshly made buns were tasty but to be honest the rest was for me just "Okay"*Texas stuff everywhere and some really funny things on the wall and ceiling but the food experience was just average at best.....No offense but I've had better at a HEB than here. Lotsa space and seating with tons of parking too. Very clean establishment and neat bathrooms as well.

My wife & family eat here regularly.The baked potatoes w brisket are large & filled as you ask. I also like their smoked chicken dinners. All their meats are decently smoked & are not over priced.No BBQ is inexpensive.Great ambiance & friendly service. Good Tea, drinks, & sides.Better than the other area chains.

Speechless! That's how good it is!!! The Brisket is indescribable, Sausage is amazingly delicious, cannot say anything bad about anything except the rolls and cornbread flies off too fast.
