Happy Sunshine Food Truck

The name, "Happy Sunshine", suits the business to a tee. After pulling an all-nighter, I haphazardly stopped by Happy Sunshine Food Truck at around 6 am. I asked them if they accept Apple Pay/Venmo. The response I got was "Don't worry about it. Have a bite. What do you want?" The owners served me a delightful omelette without expecting anything in return. In the moments to follow, a random student stopped by. He seemed to have cash so I offered to Venmo him if he could pay my tab. He said, "Bro, I got you. It's on me." In the face of apathy and day-to-day disappointments, I hope I can remind myself of this experience.

The hype checks out! No frills- just a delicious & family owned breakfast staple on campus.Depending on when you get there, the line can be long (more than 6 people on Tuesday at 9A), but it's worth the wait. I've gotten the mushroom chicken cheesesteak with everything on it 3 times & I'll probably go back for a 4th.The chicken is seasoned. The mushrooms & onions are sauteed to savory perfection. Best of all- there's a hint of mayo & ketchup, but it's not oozing out like a jelly donut. Maybe this is the campus breakfast to-go spot for you as well. HOWEVER, be cognizant that it is CASH ONLY. On the bright side, they're also apparently open at 6AM. Buen Provecho!

I'm new to Yelp but a long time veteran to Happy Sunshine. Been coming here for my $2 iced coffee fix since 2015 during my freshman year of college to even now during my post-grad on my walk to work. The owners always spare time to talk to me asking how my life has been and what not- and these little 5 min talks every morning have truly added up over the years. I'm at the point where I don't even have to say my order, Mr Sunshine and his wife just spot me approaching the truck and prepare my coffee as they see me near the window. I haven't gotten food there in a while but when I do I usually just say "I'm actually hungry today" and they will know exactly what I want- bacon egg and cheese salt and pepper ketchup roll. They are hands down the best and most friendly truck duo of all of Drexel's campus. I really appreciate their presence and I hope others will too! They have been supportive and very excited in every step towards my goals and it's been great having them around.

I ALWAYS order the hash brown turkey bacon egg and cheese with salt, pepper & ketchup. NEVER disappointed. I've tried others but it's okay wouldnt say it's the best and probably wouldn't order those again but the one I usually order is the best on the list and my top favorite sandwich of all time. That sandwich is 10/10 FIRE.

Great food and quick service. Food quality is really good and prices are great. Love coming here in the morning for breakfast. Get a huge sandwich for under $6. Only been here once for lunch and got a chicken steak which was also really good.

By far the best breakfast food truck I've ever been too! Will be back bread and food is deliscious wow!

Wonderful place! Quick, friendly, lots of options, very affordable, and most importantly VERY DELICIOUS! And open earlier than anyone else in the city.

Usually at 33th and Arch St. It was a great food truck cheesesteak. According to an article online the owners are good hard working people. Mr. Happy Sunshine wasn't too happy sunshine when I ordered my ice tea after my cheesesteak was cooked. If I worked, lived or played near Drexel, For $5 I would eat this cheesesteak allday everyday.

It may seem overkill but I specifically travel up to Philly just to have a breakfast sandwich from them. My brother and sister are both Drexel graduates so I have extensive history with them, by far the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had, I made a breakfast sandwich ranking tier list just because of how good it was and it is still #1. The owner is the best and is extremely nice every time I go, and the wait time is always way lower then other places. The waiting area is pretty scenic also, there is a volleyball court also right next to it. Overall I would give it three Michelin stars.
