Happy Family Chinese Buffet

I can see why people like this place. My normal disgust with Chinese buffets applies to this place...why do much American style cuisine on the buffet? Hot wings, pizza, chicken nuggets...I get it... you have to cater to the taste of some kids...but screw them kids! Make your child try new foods, especially vegetables, and don't give into their whining about what they don't like! They don't have a say since they are broke! Beggars can't be choosers right?!?I digress.There truly is a good assortment of items on the buffet. They labeled some food items...but the labels are for foods I already know! Come on now Son, I already know what an egg roll is bruh! Label the dish that looks like it has suction cups on it!You find the an enjoyable atmosphere and taste here. They earn an extra star for having a hibachi bar included in the price. They serve ice cream you have to scoop out... which is a good and bad thing. I couldn't get the image of everyone knuckle dragging through each tub of ice cream. They only had one scoop, so every ice cream flavor had the surrounding ice creams in it. That is not good if you have nut allergies! So many short people with long hair bent over the ice cream cooler to get their serving...I just decided to pass on ice cream. All in all, this place will scratch the Chinese buffet itch. I feel as though it's kind of pricey for a buffet, but I'm certain I got my money's worth out of them!

The food is great! The chicken wings and stir fried veggies are very good! The service is also very good! Our server Eric was very nice and always checked up on us . The water is good and does not taste like tap water , highly recommended the water.

Am the only one? ...I think that buffets are the ultimate small-plate restaurants. It's about the variety and Happy Family has a LOT of variety. There is a habachi station, a sushi station, a soup station, fruit, salads, fried seafoods (crab, shrimp, fish, frog legs, etc.), steamed seafood (shrimp, crawfish, etc.), and traditional chinese foods. This is not a complete list of the offerrings.I like sushi, but claim no expertise. All the sushi selectioned for my starter plate were fresh and tasty. The hot and sour soup was satisfying, but lacked the strong "acidic heat" that I am accustomed to. It paired well with the potstickers dipped in chili oil. For appetitizers, I sampled the steamed mussels, stuffed crab, fried frog legs, fried calamari, cucumber salad, and lettuce salad with ranch dressing. All were tasty and provided a variety of textures and flavors. The calamari was a tad too chewy.My entree plate consisted of Chinese food favorites: Hot & Spicy Beef, General Tsao's Chicken, Hot & Spicy Chicken, Stir Fried Vegetables, and Fried Rice (Darn! I forgot to get an eggroll!). The food was good. The service was good. The variety was great.

SOOO GOOODDD!! sushi is delicious, so much food for the price you pay, i love going here the service is so amazing they are so kind and always on top of their drink refills,the ambiance is so calming and very classy/subtle anyone that loves chinese food would love this place!! 10/10 regimend!

Great service! Empty plates were picked up quickly, our busser/waiter dude was polite and very accommodating. The music reminded me of anime music and it wasn't too loud or anything which was nice. Mongolian grill is a good choice if you're worried about soggy fried food at buffets. Just add the sauces you like and you can pick whatever you like to eat too.Chicken nuggets were good. I didn't have any crab but it looked good. The hot and sour soup I got wasn't spicy enough but a dab of sciracha sauce did the trick!If you're in the area you must try this place at least once!

If you went to Happy Family Chinese Buffet based on my previous review, I apologize. In the past, I have gone on a Saturday. I took my family of six there on Thursday evening. The food was AWFUL! Appearance on some was okay. Much of it tasted dried out as though it had been reheated too many times. We could not believe how bad it was. I hope this experience was just a fluke. If not, I hope management will take corrective measures.

Very good, customer service was fire, food tasted great, and the price was decent. I'll definitely be back.

Food: Quite tasty, lots of bang for your buck, and so many different dishes that are worth piling a ton of onto your plate. Wish I had more room in my stomach for it all.Service: Typical buffet service. You're taken to your seat, you get your drinks, and they sometimes come around to refill. The servers aren't rude. It's definitely an average service experience.Ambience: It's fairly dim in almost all areas of the place except the food serving area. Has a nice, cozy atmosphere, though.

Food was pretty good for a buffet, service was great, and pretty clean and decent interior. Like that they had food for the kids such as pizza, fries, and nuggets. I'd definitely go again just for the hibachi!
