I have never head an issue buying a delicious chicken and rice halal meal at this truck. The price, also, is always right, especially in this area where you typically pay an arm and an a leg for lunch. $5-6 dollars for a meal, including a drink? Who can beat that? And... the people here are super nice!

This is my go to spot for lamb over rice. For $5 bucks, you can get lamb, rice, and a salad topped off with red sauce (spicy or mild) and white sauce. Line can get a little long, but it moves pretty quickly. I've been going to this guy for a few years now and he's a nice guy - so give him you money!

No words to describe this gem in center city. Location: conveniently located at the top of the Septa entrance on 16th Street between Market Street and JFK. Bonus: get a free soda with every order and you are NOT upcharged for it!Food selection: You really can't go wrong with anything you get here. The lamb and chicken is always cooked perfectly and you can mix the two for a delicious flavor! The gyro is delicious with all the seasonings. The toppings are fresh ingredients with a cooling yogurt sauce (and hot sauce if you are adventurous). The rice platter is great but the salad (I think) is even better!! In addition to the great food, the service is friendly and super quick. The line is long at lunch so get there early if you don't have too much time to spare, but they try their best to keep the line moving as quick as they can. Overall amazing!!

Honestly it's the best halal truck I've been to in the city. The chicken, lamb and rice is just right, not oily like others and the lettuce is fresh. The couple who run it are also super friendly. FYI, there is almost always a line of a variety of people waiting no matter what the weather is like!

Five star review is relative to the expectation I had having only paid $5 for the meal. Ultimately the same price as the preservative-filled subway sandwich Meal I could've gotten down the street. I ordered the lamb/chicken combo rice plate and I received back mounds of freshly prepared meat on top of a excellently seasoned rice (with sort of biryani style seasoning) and reasonable amount of veggies served in a half sized styrofoam container. Great portion, great taste, great service. The guy even posed for a photo that some Italian tourists who order some cheesesteaks took of him amidst the lunch rush. Can't beat that. This is my first street cart in Philly and I must admit, it's been several years since I tried the carts in Manhattan, but this holds its own. May not be a destination spot, but definitely worth a stop if you're walking by.

To date, it is one of the better halal carts in Philly. The line can be long, which is usually a good sign. Mostly repeat customers I assume, including myself. Quantity wise, I feel like they do give you a little more for your money. And each order comes with a free drink! $5 and you got yourself a full-on meal. The woman inside takes the orders and scoops the rice/salad, while the man grills the meat and plops it in your styrofoam container. An efficient team to say the least. They also have seltzer water as one of their drink offerings - that's rare and a plus in my book! Go lamb for the win!
