So I got to try Guru! I found it interesting that the restaurant boasts a combination of burgers and poke/chicken bowls. Definitely a novel concept!I decided to try the original bowl which had tuna, salmon and a host of other typical poke bowl options. Not bad! The tuna wasn't my favorite but the salmon was really good and they had a soy sauce that they drizzled throughout the bowl. They give you a ton of ingredients - almost too much, but I can't complain because it's much more than at a typical poke place for the same price. The server was super friendly and suggested an sriracha sauce to add to the bowl since the tuna and salmon didn't have any spice or sauces and there were really no other options. They're more known for their burgers and my friends all had the Turkey burger with gluten free breads. All clean plates at the end!

Had the craving for burger and decided to satisfy that urge at Grub. There are plenty of seatings in the restaurant, and there are outdoor patio seatings too. I was quickly seated, and my server was very prompt in serving me. The menu was short and sweet, but there was no lack in variations of burgers. I got their weekday combo (Tuesday to Thursday) which consisted of a burger, side, and drink (any drink) for $20. The Big Shroom looked tempting but I got to change the bun to challah, my fave. My burger was stacked with fresh vegetables, and the grilled portobello patty was made well. However, it would have been better if there were more grilled portobello than vegetables. I chose plantain chips as my side which were crunchy and well seasoned. Strawberry milkshake was a small cup and was too sweet for me. Free garage parking is available, and the entrance is beside the front of the restaurant. Paid street parking is also available but there are limited spaces.

After a 5k at Brazos Bend bro and I hit this place as burgers are always savored after race. We drove up to SugarLand after finding it on Yelp. As I do not eat meat I ordered the mushroom burger and bro got a regular one. The host and server were very nice. We both split an order of onion rings which were amazing. I wish I could say burger was amazing but since I make mushroom burgers every now and then I felt burger couldve had more flavor. Im willing to try the place again with other unique burgers.

Vibe- This is another nice casual restaurant in the Sugar Land Town Square. There's about 11 or so square tables and a few booths inside. There's outside seating as well. Customer service- Good!Food/drinks- I got THE TESLA BURGER (one of their vegan options) to eat and I went during happy hour (3pm-6pm) so I ordered a strawberry/mango margarita but they were out of tequila so they did the strawberry/margarita with champagne. Everything was great!Parking- I parked in the garage for free that's literally right next to the spot.

We were headed to a concert at Smart Financial Center and stopped at Town Center to eat. We chose Guru Burgers because the happy hour at Escalante's was over. I was happy to see they have a vegetarian burger called Tesla. I have no idea why but for $15 I wish it came with a one day use of an actual Tesla. The burger is delicious and my friend enjoyed hers. The burger does not come with fries. It originally comes with vegan bread but I switched to whole wheat. While delicious, $15 is a bit much for a vegetarian burger with no accompaniments. There is free parking in the garage. When we're not in a hurry to go somewhere else, I hope to enjoy the live music they have on the square sometimes.

The poke bowl here is one of my personal favorites in the Sugar Land area. Not only is it fairly priced, the flavor, the options, the portions for me are all perfect. I love coming here with my family. They seat you pretty quickly and the guys that work there are really nice. They're attentive and they helped me out a lot with each question I had. The place does not have much seating but so far I've had no issues sitting with a group of 8. It's also a little cold in there so I would bring a jacket.

My 4 colleagues and I went here for lunch. We at first sat inside and asked if we could sit outside instead to enjoy the beautiful weather. They accommodated us by putting 2 heavy metal tables together and wiping them down. The food was delicious (creative burgers!), strawberry milkshake was yummy, and great friendly staff.

We stopped here on our way from Houston to Victoria. We always call a place before we go for burgers to make sure they will cook a medium rare burger, so this spot said they could. They nailed it as you can see in the pictures. I told them medium rare on the side of rare. I ordered the Bruce Lee and added avocado. It was so good and super filling....could not finish it all. My husband had the Fig Newton and we ended up swapping burgers half-way through because I loved it so much! Yes, he his amazing on several levels, but especially because he shares his food with me. :)The burgers were amazing, but y'all....the beet chips!!! They were the star of the show! My husband hates beets, and I ordered them as my side. He ended up eating more of them than I did. We got an extra order to go, too. I have tried in vain to find them around us in Austin, but no luck. I even ordered some on Amazon...nope. Not the same. I cannot wait to go back and get some more.

WHAT A SHAME THAT YOURE CLOSING!With 1,000 reviews and 4 stars, you're the best RESTAURANT in Sugar Land. Not to mention the best burger I ever had. And I worked at a burger joint that made fresh buns each day!Friendly staff and outstanding burgers. Props to the owners, the menu has a great variety! I'll definitely be back before the 21st for the blue cheese! After a lovely conversation with Matthew at your bar, I decided to go with the Japoneiro's burger. He's a very smart young guy in the engineering program, and we had a great conversation about linear algebra. He lamented that the burger menu was smaller than it used to be-- I can't even conceive of what it must have been -- and that the place is closing. As the best place in Houston, he said, he candidly said that he'll have to start getting his burgers from Flippin Patties. All it took was that one burger for me to 100% agree.I love this type of joint -- specialty burgers -- but you guys are the dang best.I got this burger and bit into it and it had a freakin grilled banana in it. Splendid. It was impossible not to smile because, not only did it work, but wow! It was creative AND absolutely delicious. The meat was juicy, really out of this world. And the challah bun did not offend.10/10!
