Guatemala Restaurant

Enjoyed my breakfast. Chef came out and talked to me and was eager to please. People weee kind and great atmosphere. I had the carne asada with beens and rice and all was good. Flavorful and cooked to perfection. Will be back.

The food is delicious. Everyone was so gracious because I don't speak Spanish & helped me order. They have English right under the Spanish on the menu, which is so helpful. The ambiance was on point, I felt like I was in Guatemala. Excellent food! Great service!

Food was good, the service could have been much better. My wife is German and kids mixed and I'm Guatemalan - they didn't make us feel welcome. My kids, wife and I clearly noticed :(

I've never been to Guatemala before but if the food there tastes as amazing as it does here, I just might have to book that flight. This is not a place to come to if you're looking for Texas-sized portions, but the flavors certainly pack a punch. The customer service is great, feels like you're visiting an aunts house. The waiters serve you as if there were no room for nonsense just great food. I actually like that, no false or fake conversations. There is a cute little shopping area by the register to get a few Guatemalan goodies if you wanted.

The restaurant had very authentic Guatemalan food and everything tasted amazing. The service was super helpful and friendly.

Say "My Many Mini Food Tours" 10 times very fast. Better still say "My Many Mini Mani Pedis" 10 times fast.While I don't go back regularly, that is largely because the food is not healthy, rather than not good. It's truly delicious. Some of the best I've had in Houston. I don't care Guat anyone else says - I love this stuff.Try the insanely good churrasco, the wonderful pepian chicken, and the yummy Elote drink. The Platano drink is just okay, and the Horchata isn't great.The service is absolutely wonderful. Always consistent every time we come. Takes just like home in Guatemala. The service when they are not busy is great. We recommend the classics- churrasco- it's like grilled steak and the breakfast combo with beef, eggs, plantains and beans- it's called el chapin. I also recommend to get tamales a la plancha or tamales that are homemade on the grill! When it's cold or in the winter, get caldo de gallina or hen soup! It won't disappoint! Yo recomendado caldo de gallina cuando es frío un día en diciembre o enero. Los platos clásicos son el churrasco con ensalada rusa y también un plato se llama el chapin con bistec , frijoles , plátanos con tamales a la plancha

La comida Guatemalteca de aquí me dejo muy decepcionada y no representa comida Guatemalteca como debe ser. Yo ordene el plato chapin y los plátanos estaban fríos y no tenían buen sabor, no los pederia otra vez. Lo único bueno fue los chuchitos. El servicio fue bueno pero todo salió muy muy caro. The food here left me very disappointed and unsatisfied , I think the Guatemalan food wasn't being represented fairly and the plátanos from here were very cold and flavorless as well. Only thing I actually liked from here was the chuchitos. Service was good and waitresses were nice but it was veryyy expensive.

I arrived before my friends and felt like a warm cup of coffee. But the waitress told me the coffee is not from Guatemala. I was surprised so I skipped it. I ordered a plantain atol. It was tasty. A small size is plenty because it's thick and it filled me up. After my friends settled in we ordered our food. I ordered the pache, or a potato tamal. The waitress said it's vegetarian. Later she came to the table and told me there's a piece of chicken in the tamale. I was disappointed and looked for the piece of chicken to remove it. The tamale comes on a banana leaf and it's delicious. It's big and quite filling. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food. There is a small market inside with Guatemalan trinkets. The place is pretty authentic. Lots of Guatemalans were dining there on a Saturday at lunch. I would like to go back to try the plantain stuffed with black beans.
