Guangxi Noodle

I love instant bag snail rice noodle in the market and wonder how home-cook tastes like, somebody recommend this place on facebook and i saw this on their menu so i wanna try it. However there are so many cons for this place1/ free chicken feet: sour and super tough, you literally can see all NAILS are still there , like...visible obviously guys! Mehhhh2/ i order beef offal and expected some intestines but it came out with small pieces of beef, bland broth and vegetable they put is lettuce (normally it should come with bokchoy, idk?!) , i dont know if i dont understand completely the meaning of the menu or they brought the wrong item, but due to language barrier i dont want make hard on them3/ waitress is super unattended, just sits on the chair and keeps her eyes on her phone more than customers. My friend and I have to keep asking for more stuffs, also the another table has to go straight to the counter and ask for napkins, toothpick, etc.4/ AC does not work properly! Common yall, it's summer and you sell noodle soup, give customers some cool air please!

Seriously a hidden gem. I got the tomato friend with beef. It's not too spicy and was honestly a really comforting dish to have. The soup was delicious and the beef was super tender.

Literally just got done eating here. Holy crap. I've never had this style of noodle before so I don't have a barometer of what's good or bad but I found it delicious. Flavors focused around sour spicy. We got the Giulin Noodle and Pork Rice Noodle (with soup). The giulin noodles come dry with soup on the side, topped with pickled veg, fried pork, braised beef stomach, peanuts and cilantro. Mix well and enjoy. The soup is pork bone base, good flavor without being too heavy or greasy. Pork Rice Noodle is similar (with soup added , not on side), no peanuts and the sour flavor is slightly different. Excellent with the braised quail eggs. We also got a side of the fried duck feet, which had a nice flavor and we're not overly tough. I dipped them in my soup a bit so the skin would pick up some broth. Service and environment excellent. Portion are well matched to price. 10/10 would recommend and return

Fast service, clean establishment, a lot of good side dishes to customize your noodles, and the staff is very accommodating. The menu and dishes are not the easiest for non-Chinese speakers to fully take advantage of, but that's not unusual in these small Chinatown places.For those who don't want to deal with a big bowl of soup, the Guilin rice noodles are great. Heads up that the "fried egg" isn't what it sounds like. It's a deep fried egg that looks like a poofy ball of strings, is quite greasy, and the texture is unusual.

We came here to try the snail noodles. When we got the noodles, we were surprised that there were no actual snails in here even though the picture clearly showed snails. When we asked the waiter, he said they don't have snails in it. We also tried the Guilin Rice noodles with the soup on the side. The restaurant's ambient temperature is maybe 78 degrees so having hot soup on a 100 degree day was uncomfortable. Maybe it will be better in the winter. There wasn't much cohesive flavor. It just tastes like a lot of stuff with noodles.

Went on an off hour to pick up food for to go. I ordered the friend beef noodle soup with dried radish, bamboo shoots, and extra sliced brisket. IT WAS SO GOOD!!!! I'll be back to have my husband try it too!

Guangxi Noodles 桂柳之家 is consisted of rice noodles in 老友粉 old friend noodles formula. It's very regional cuisine to 广西 southern Chinese food region. Spicy, sour and savory are the key flavor to the noodle dishes here. According to Wikipedia, this foodie experience is known for humid climates. That matches with Houston perfectly.Looking at the menu, everything is organized by the traditional ingredients. They only have one soup base, as I was told, all made with pork broth. All dishes are with meats, except with tomato and you can add beef or pork. The famous one is the escargot or tree snails. There is only one dish not in the soup form.I came here this week after my teeth pulled. Not sure if I sound funny or employee didn't hear what I said. I ordered 4 seasoned quail eggs after found the price of one seasoned egg. He brought me 5 eggs. Ok. I love seasoned eggs.The rice noodles were cooked to perfection. I asked for not spicy but it came spicy. Fine. I blamed on my missing teeth.This dry noodle dish has deep-fried pork belly (crunchy), beef stomach (tender), seasoned beef (dry), pig inners, stirred fried with sour bamboo shoots and pickled string beans. Topped with cilantro, toasted soy beans and roasted peanuts. It comes with a side order of soup. I loved the unique flavor and I shall return to try other dishes. I saw the deep fried duck wings on the black board. I've gotta try it when I am able to chew again.

Super great find! My mom is from guangxi and she says this is the best spot for noodles. The noodles are super authentic with some great side dishes too. Prices are cheap as well. The space is super spacious and the service is quick as well so I would highly recommend if you're looking for noodles.

Great Noodles, reminds me of home and the service is excellent! The place just opened up as well
