My family had dinner here last night. Solid restaurant.Ambience is fitting for Tex-Mex restaurant. Casual vibe. The service was good.Overall, I would give the food 3.5/5. We all shared a couple of entrée items:Chips/Salsa - 4/5: Chips are thin, crispy but not greasy. Salsa is typical red salsa, and good-very good.Enchilada Marisco - 3.5/5: Seafood enchilada. A single enchilada but fairly large. I'm glad we shared this as the sauce is so think, creamy and rich, I don't think I could have finished one by myself without getting sick of the sauce. If you eat a small portion, it's good.Guadalupe Lime Beef Fajitas (8 oz of meat) - 3.5/5: The lime flavor is very forward, which we liked. This was definitely big enough to share for 2 people. The meat had good seasoning and flavor. I thought the dish needed more sautéed vegetables (onions and bell peppers).Overall, very down the middle of the fairway Tex-Mex restaurant.

A friend of mine brought me here stating this was his favorite tex-mex restaurant. We sat in the patio area and were greeted immediately. We immediately ordered margaritas to start. They were sooooo good! We weren't too hungry so we shared the beef fajita plate. This plate is enough for two people in my opinion. It comes with the rice, your choice of beans, and your choice of toritlla. Everything was delicious! After we finished eating, we closed out at our table and moved to the bar to keep drinking. We really could not get enough of those margaritas. Overall this really was a great tex-mex restaurant. I will definitely be back!

Great HH selections. The bar staff is a little too anxious - give a girl a second to sit down and look at my drink options (lol). HH bar bites were good (would recommend leaving out the beef from queso). Wasn't a fan of the Paloma or the Mule - but the beer was nice and cold. My friend had a few Skinny Ritas - again, okay, not great. All in all - definitely a repeat HH place.

Ample parking. Good service. We split the beef fajitas; the flavor was delicious and the meat was tender. Their house margaritas were good and strong!

I had happy hour with my friends last night. The drinks specials are decent and the service is really good. I love their chips and salsa. They have both red and green but you have to ask for the green (it is the best!). I didn't eat this time, but I have always enjoyed their food each time I have been. The restaurant itself is quite large. They have outdoor seating, bar tables and regular inside seating. The only thing I don't like is the smell. The table tops are all metal and I can smell the metal throughout the entire place. I hate that smell. I know I have a very sensitive smeller, so I hesitate to even comment most of the time, but one of my friends in our group said the same thing! I guess I feel validated now. Haha. In addition, because the tables are metal, they are super cold to the touch. I use a napkin each time when resting my arms on the table. It's not a deal breaker, but it's also not my first choice of places to go. I will say, the food is great and the portions are large. The presentation is always nice. They do a good job.

The inside was beautiful. Being midday, it wasn't busy at all. I was promptly seated and served fresh chips and a very mild, almost sweet red salsa. I ordered a lunch combo with a jalapeño beef enchilada, a chicken taco, rice and beans. Served on a warm plate, it looked delicious. The thin but rich jalapeño cream sauce made the dish. The rice was fluffy and you could taste the cumin. The gilled chicken in the taco was moist, pairing well with the spicy refried beans. Good lunch spot.As I was going to a meeting I didn't get to try the great margaritas a friend had suggested. Maybe next time!

Definitely adding Guadalajara to the rotation. Service was on point beginning to end. I walked in the door looking for my friend and the guy thought about it and led me right to her. Our waitress was awesome and on point, I didn't get her name guess since I came late but I'd definitely update when I find out. I started with the mangonada and it was quite delicious and with the candy wrapped straw...heaven! The chips and sauces were good but the avocado based one is definitely not as good as Chuy's but it's still alright. For the entree I went with the enchiladas combo. It came with 2 enchiladas (one cheesy cheesy cheese, one ground beef) and a tamale all covered in their signature gravy. Also included a pretty big taco and rice and beans. I enjoyed most of it but it's definitely something in their ground beef that I don't like. I also tried the empanadas with queso and the green salsa and it was good. All the food was served hot, it wasn't that packed in there, good service...I'd definitely return!

I live in Jersey but come home to Houston every few months and my top request is always to eat at Guadalajara. We usually fill ourselves up with so much chips and salsa that we barely have room for our main entree but this habit cannot be stopped. The salsa here is absolutely top-notch. It's everything you want in a salsa. I wish I could buy jars to bring back to NJ with me. I ordered the flautas and like to jazz them up with a few extra toppings. The filling is yummy and the outside is crispy. *not shown the queso blanco I ordered on the side for dipping, a must! I can't wait to go back home in December to eat this again!

Plenty of parking at this location and it's free. There is outdoor and indoor sitting which can be nice if the weather is nice and you like listening to traffic on interstate 10. The hostess sited husband and I near the windows which was nice as I found the restaurant to be rather dark. We were greeted with glasses of water, red sauce and chips. I asked if they had green sauce and they did so our waiter got us some for free. We placed our food order which did not take long to come out. Overall the food was good, the appearance of the plates was good but once we got our food we didn't see our waiter till the bill came. I do recommend this restaurant as the food is good and the prices are fair.

With Tex-Mex restaurants being a diamond a dozen here in Houston, you really have to be on your a game to bring people in. This place has a good amount of parking that it shares with another restaurant next-door. It offers both inside and patio dining. Food options are pretty standard compared to other Tex-Mex places. Personally, I had the bacon wrap shrimp plate. Everything was good no complaints with the food.Service wise they miss the mark! Our waitress had a little to no personality whatsoever. No follow up after she dropped off the food nor check in to see if we wanted more drinks or wanted to order anything additional. Each time we wanted something we had to look for her and try to flag her down and make eye contact which was annoying. All in all I ordered two entrées four margaritas and a to go plate. When she brought me the to go plate, there was no silverware, napkins, salsa or any other condiments offered with the plate just the food. When I asked her to bring me a small container of salsa, she told me that she will have to charge me extra for that. Who does that?? I had bought food to go so at the very least you should include that with my meal. After she said that I asked one of the other waiters if I could have a small thing of salsa, he told me no problem and brought me one. So this makes me think she was either being petty or lying about the up charge. This seems to be a going routine. I have visited their downtown location a few times and they pull this nickel and dime act also. The service is not great either. Personally, I'm done with this franchise. I won't be visiting any of their other restaurants, especially when there's so many options to choose from in Houston. FYI Pappasitos is a short drive away.
