Grindcore House

I don't take 5 stars lightly, but this place left me with a (grind)CORE memory. I didn't see the sign outside that said "All Vegan" and from the food you wouldn't even be able to tell it was! I got a latte here with non-dairy milk (of course) which didn't cost extra (in this economy??) which was really good. I got the basic sandwich which was tofu on a Philadelphia roll. I'm not sure what sauce or cheese or seasoning they use, but it was amazing! Seriously may call them for the recipe. Everything was super reasonably priced (especially for it being vegan).There are a few high chairs at the front, but wouldn't bring a laptop or sit-down work. They have a bathroom in the back which was small, but clean. The baristas were really nice and very hip. Overall, this place is on the GRIND and it's definitely working for them. Will definitely be going back!

Second time here because I could not stop thinking about their biscuit. It is difficult to find a good vegan biscuit and they do savory and sweet so well. We got a breakfast sandwich and it was one of the best vegan or non vegan ones. The blueberry coffee cake was okay, wish it had more blueberry flavor, but was from another vendor. Service is all counter so you order from their menu and then come up to grab it once they call you. The employees are all nice and you saw them cleaning and helping if you needed it. It's a smaller coffee shop, but there's an entire back room of tables and outlets if you need space to work or charge for a bit.

Yummy and unique Vegan Food It's very hard NOT to get two sandwiches. Relaxing in the park with half of my scrumptious B.L.A.T. I could not resist purchasing a Roast Beast for later. Food is consistently delicious and fresh. Excellent service and music with great energy. I can just escape when going to this establishment. The entire vibe is awesome!

Came here with a fellow vegetarian friend and were obsessed!We both got the Micky G breakfast sandwiches. So delicious, and the biscuit is comes on was so fluffy and heavenly! Also highly recommend because of the maple butter!Our drinks were both delicious too. I got chai and she got a rose latte. All the plant based milks available. When we left we got some pastries to go because we couldn't resist....as expected, super delicious as well!There was plenty of seating to dine in, though we wish more of it was up front near the window. The back room is a little darker and quieter, some people were working. But still great place to hang.

I am so mad I found grindhouse a few weeks before I moved from Philly to NY. I think about their gluten free everything bagel with vegan chive cream cheese and iced americano pretty much every other day. There's nothing like this spot. Plus, the dark academia/post hardcore vibes inside this spacious cafe with original architectural details are so dreamy. I can't wait to come back to Philly so I can hit Grindcore again. Criminally underrated coffee house in South Philly.

Really cool fully vegan breakfast jawn! The interior is hip and clean and there is a large back room that's great for working in.Food is amazing and everything on the menu is vegan. I LOVED the Mickey G - maple butter, sausage, chz, tofu, on a soft buttery biscuit. Coffee was great too, homemade vanilla syrup and soy milk for me.Food came fast and service was friendly. Will absolutely be back!

I got the peppermint mocha and a plain bagel with cream cheese. The plain "cream cheese" had the perfect texture, but next time I'll get a flavored one. Prices are the same as your average non-vegan cafe.Friendly people! Spacious seating in the back. Love the rock vibe here. I'll be back to try out more!

Staff is always friendly and nice. I love having a vegan option so close to my house.

Had a delicious soy peppermint mocha and a tasty BLAT with marble bread. All fresh ingredients.

Breakfast sandwiches were tasty. Loved the Philadelphia muffin. Also ordered drinks and carrot cake. Everything was great. Wish there was more seating and a bathroom for customers.
