The phone number is wrong. They said they have no way to change it. The correct number is 215-515-3072.Now that we got that out of the way I wanted to drop a review. I'm a pretty big guy and I eat a lot. Almost all of my favorite neighborhood eateries have closed down in the past few years but I have a new one. The Green Rock Tavern really rocks. All the food is fresh, local or home made. It's a must try. I'm on my way there right now to pick up my lunch... gotta go!

This is such a cool spot in Port Richmond! I ordered takeout during COVID, but went to pick it up at the restaurant. The inside of the restaurant immediately just gives you a homey-neighborhood vibe (and not the vibe where you feel like you have to be a local to eat there.) Nice bar seating, TVs, and random assortments of like antique figurines - just a cool/laid-back/old school feel. The service was friendly and helpful. Their menu is somewhat limiting (I always have this perspective since my wife is a vegetarian,) but they are good at what they are known for...burgers and pierogies. I wanted to try something different, so I had their "Lee Highway to Hell" Burger (homage to lehigh ave.) because I was really intrigued that the bun was swapped for Stocks pound cake (shout out to Stocks.) The flavor for this burger was phenomenal - a big mix of sweet and savory. It comes topped with strips of bacon and coated with cheddar cheese, and a syrup to drip it all in. The only downside to this burger is that it is really hard to eat - it was a mess, but that didn't take away from my overall experience. My wife got their grilled cheese, which may not seem like much, but they killed this! Thick bread, cooked all the way through, and we got it with a side of their spicy fry sauce - slammin (this sauce competes with any spicy/tangy/aioli dipping sauce I've ever had.Their pierogies were really good too - we got the cheddar jalapeno. The peppers were not too hot, so very manageable for anyone who is scared of spice, but these were just hard to eat as well. With the peppers on top...I almost wish the pierogies were made with the peppers inside the mix to get an even jalapeno flavor throughout. If you are looking to a solid, affordable meal for the weekend or just picking something up last minute during the week - you can't go wrong here.**Cash Only**

Stopped here for lunch yesterday (a Saturday). We were the only ones dining at the time which was fine with us. They are only doing outside seating right now and it was a beautiful day so it was perfect!I got the bacon blue burger (they use real blue cheese chunks, not dressing) and my friend got the flat iron burger. Mine was really really good and my friend said it was one of the best burgers he has ever had. They come with fries which are very good too! What a great lunch!

Cash only. Limited seating. Can get pretty loud. Now that that is out of the way....You've got to check out pirogie week. However it gets packed. You have to be willing to wait to get a seat. It's the worst and best time to go. The food is really good here all the time though. Small menu and they run out of things but it's awesome. I think there is one Ot two vegetarian options but I've never seen vegan options here. It's a great place to hang out on off nights when no one is in there.

In these weird times we're in GR is doing right and best they can, adapting and whatnot. I don't these guys personally but what I can say is the two other options in a walking distance are a crap show- they have coffee now which is cool and cause PGW got me up at the butt crack of dawn I woke for a nice light breakfast- I wouldn't normally write a review but the homemade yogurt and simplistic peanut butter and jelly bagel with a coffee hit the spot, and also eat local be happy!

So I actually found this little wonder on Yelp. We went in. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable about the beer they had especially on tap. We had the special and that was a roast beef sandwich which was piled high and super delicious. I'm mad we had burgers earlier because all the reviews said there burgers were amazing!! I will be back don't you worry. We also had pierogies which are the best ones I ever had!!! Chunks of potatoes in them, crumbled bacon on top. I could have eaten them all night. I can't wait to go back so o can try different kinds!! This place is a hidden gem, and my new go to place. They only take cash but there's a ATM inside.

One of the things I've learned about The Green Rock (over years now) is that the owners go the extra mile to participate in, and help, the community. Whether it's throwing parties for those stuck-in-town for the holidays, having great cookouts, neighborhood celebrations, etc.....the vibe is about as friendly as it can get.Add to this the great burgers and other fare, you can't go wrong.Homemade Pierogies too!Special tip: try their onion rings! so good! Also: any place that regularly has hot Polish mustard as a standard condiment on the tables is 100% authentic in my book.

~Just moved to the area & was referred by a friend to try a burger from this establishment. First impressions were good, very friendly staff, nice layout (although the décor could use a little updating/dusting) Ordered the bacon bleu burger for 12.50$, very good quality & cooked to perfection. It came with a side of hand cut fries, & secret spicy sauce which was el fuego in a bueno way. Would recommend to the owner of the Green Rock Tavern to add a printed menu brochure, & phone # for preordering to increase salesThe Don approves of this establishment & has been back~
