Sundays are for brunch. Hungry and had time to spare. Seated right away. Parking is street parking only which can be challenging. Ordered a lavender honey latte and Oreo latte. Were delicious and worth the $6.00. The food order consisted of the chicken sandwich with home fries with onions and peppers. I probably won't get the home fries again. Very small cuts of potatoes. Ordered cheese grits which were very cheesy. I didn't order French toast but the ones that were coming out the kitchen looked delicious. Wide variety of food selections to include vegetarian Will visit again when in Philly.

Came here to celebrate my 22nd birthday and to my surprise, this location allows byob! This location provides spectacular service and our food comes out fast! The restaurant is very well kept and not crowded at all on weekdays. Walk-ins are allowed, no reservations required for parties!

My first brunch of 2024 was in Philadelphia, since I spent New Year's Eve there. This place was spacious with plenty of seating, popular, yet able to accommodate our decently sized group. The interior was cute. I know I wanted one of the specialty coffee drinks, and went with the Salted Caramel Mocha Latte. This consisted of caramel syrup, espresso, steamed milk, sea salt, topped with whipped cream and drizzles of caramel / chocolate sauces. Absolutely delicious with strong taste of both flavors, creamy and sweet coffee. The Skillets sounded really good, so I ordered the Kitchen Sink one, which included 3 scrambled eggs, sausage crumbles, gruyere cheese, potatoes, peppers, onions, topped with sausage gravy, jumbo biscuit, in a cast iron skillet. This was HUGE and full of great, bold flavor. The eggs were cooked perfectly, sausage was tender and well seasoned, veggies were fresh and just the right consistency, while the biscuit was flaky, buttery, and the cheese was wonderfully melty. All the ingredients worked beautifully together, making for mouthwatering bites. I took more than half home and it tasted just as good the next day. Service was great. The waitress was welcoming and helpful. Prices are reasonable and it is important to note the restaurant is cash only. I definitely enjoyed my dining experience here.

I had the French toast board, which was a third of a regular sized portion of three different kinds of French toast: Creme Brulee | Cinnamon Bun| Cookie Dough. The cookie dough and cinnamon bun French toasts were my favorite! I will definitely get them again when I go back (yes, I will be planning on returning here!) The place is first come first served and cash only. The prices are reasonable especially for the portion sizes.

Delicious! We came by from out of state and we have been seeing all the raving reviews for this place so we had to try. The breakfast eggrolls were tasty and different, French toast was delicious especially the cream topping, Benedict was great and so was the cheesy hash. The chips ahoy latte did not have much flavor just tasted like a regular iced latte unfortunately. The service was great no complaints there. Definitely a go to when visiting Philly.

To get a sense of downtown Green eggs is really a good time! This was my first time at this location and the service. The food were the things that you see on really on point. I was surprised at how dope the ambiance was and how large the space felt and lively. Not that the other locations are as lively, but from the outside you can't really tell how lively it is. I ordered the kitchen sink which I only finished half of because my head was not on the same page with my stomach lol

Green Eggs is one of my most coveted brunch spots after years of dining in Philly. There are plenty of brunch spots that look nice in photos on social media but don't uphold the quality in person. However, this spot encompasses every part of a perfect brunch (besides still being cash only ). Even better, there are now five locations within Philly. My most recent visit was even better than others I've had in the past. We arrived shortly after the brunch rush at 1PM and lucked out with no wait time. They still have the standard menu with great variety as well as a seasonal menu that changes periodically. The entrees here are super decadent, so I always recommend getting a few items at the table to share. My friend and I went for one sweet and one savory entree to share together as well as a few of our own sides. We got "The Cure" Skillet, Cinnamon Bun French Toast and sides of Turkey Bacon and Grits w/Cheddar and Cream. Every part of our meal was great. Despite being marketed as a hangover meal, each component of the skillet was high quality and flavorful. The Turkey Bacon is a much better quality and thicker cut than what you get elsewhere. Grits are an afterthought at many spots, but the creaminess and tanginess of these were delicious. The french toast maintained inner fluffiness with outer crispness despite being soaked in delicious toppings. Many brunch spots have opened throughout the city recently, but very few do it as well as Green Eggs does. I'm extremely glad to see that the quality has stayed consistently great over the years. The food here is pretty heavy for frequent visits, but it's a disservice not to dine here if you're in Philly.

I have been to a few locations of Green Eggs, but not the one on Girard Ave! I was happy to meet up with family and enjoy a meal together! The staff were friendly and service prompt! The space offers spread out tables (not on top of fellow patrons) as some Green Eggs locations tend to do! The food portions continue to be plentiful and prepared perfectly!Cash Still Rules at Green Eggs!

I come here frequently and there's usually a 15-30min wait over the weekend.. Staff is quick and friendly.. food is usually great, except for this time .. I had ordered the red velvet pancakes which was a bit of a disappointment for once .. Pro: portion size is HUGE for one person, presentation & texture was great.. Con: there seemed to be a bitter aftertaste in the pancake after every bite.. at first I thought it was just the initial ones but it may have been something to do with the batter or the mix itself.. tried it hours later from the to-go box and the aftertaste was still putting me off.. the taste killed my appetite and my excitement which arose from seeing it

The food was great a wide selection. If the order didn't coming out the way you wanted it. They will take it back and correct it. Service was good the waitress was helpful and friendly. The only downside was that the business is cash only. Plus they had a ATM in the building.
