Grant Park Bistro

As a resident of the DMV, I can get a lil snobbish when it comes to seafood; nobody does it like us back home.Or so I thought.This Lake Benedict from Grant Park Bistro is arguably one of the best salmon Benedict's I've had in my entire life. The salmon was perfectly smoked, the poached egg was a tad firmer than what I'm used to (in such a positive way that I now want all my poached eggs to take this level of firmness), and the hollandaise sauce was perfect. I almost always switch out home fries for french fries, and these fries were so good that I didn't need a sauce. So whenever I find myself back in Chicago, I'll certainly be back at Grant Street.

Great Happy Hour! Double Smash Burger (which was excellent) and a side of truffle fries for $11.00. May be one of the best deals in Chicago. Now, the service on the other hand was a WHOLE different story. Not sure I have ever run into a bartender that paid less attention to his bar patrons and focus more on making drinks for the servers. Obviously someone forgot to school him that he keeps all his bar patrons tips and only gets a percentage of servers tips.

Stop by this little spot one day when I was in the area. Cute little place inside of rhe Le Meridien on South Michigan Ave across the street from the park. Truly enjoyed such a simple American breakfast and the service was great. They checked on me continuously during my meal. Enjoyed my breakfast , the chicken sausage really set my breakfast off nicely. I was nice and full to start my day off for exploring the city. Definitely stop by and enjoy the bistro. Great meal and service!

Food was good.. I ordered the sausage scramble dish that came with breakfast potatoes.. That was pretty good w/ some hot tea.. Service could be a little better, seem like they was under staffed or folks just wasn't paying attention. I had to keep asking for things over and over and had to get up myself and get ketchup for myself.. Just need a little more attention to detail on the service side of things.. Good breakfast spot with a nice patio as well.

Went back to this Resturant and was treated rudely by the bus boy he should be fired. Rolled his eyes and in front of me talked about me only because I ordered breakfast one egg. Chicken sausage and one toast it came to the table in three plates cold so I ask for a plate to put everything on one plate the bus boy got angry rolling eyes and telling his friends while looking at me I'll return when he is fired.

It was a beautiful day in Chicago and Grant Park Bistro was right down the street from my hotel, so we thought what better way to enjoy it than a delicious meal on a patio! I was a little torn because the inside of the restaurant looked rather beautiful, but the dedicated patio space with umbrellas and great views won out. You know it's a good sign when everyone is having a difficult time choosing what they want to eat off the menu. Thankfully, I was with people that didn't mind sharing so I got to try some of this salmon toast because it was delicious and not overly heavy. However, I indulged on this burger and was glad I did. There was so much going on with this burger and its toppings, but it all seemed to work together. If you're looking for a great patio or brunch spot, I would definitely recommend it!

Am here with my $16 voucher from the hotel. Service wasn't very fast, but the food was great and reasonably priced. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was juicy and filling. Wish it had lettuce.

Best scrambled eggs...Yup. That's how this is gonna start this one.Outside of the very open and inviting atmosphere and the friendly and hospitable service. Or the delicious chicken sausage, bacon, potatoes and homemade biscuits... the scrambled eggs were the best I've ever had in all my years of eating breakfast at a restaurant. And mind you, I've eaten plenty of very delicious eggs at a good number of very nice spots for breakfast.I can only imagine how delicious lunch and dinner must be at the Grant Bistro is.Visiting from Los Angeles, California... we'll need to make sure to stop back in the next time we are in Chicago!

My daughter found Grant Park Bistro during a late-night search for dinner. The place was at half capacity with the bar area having most of the patrons. We asked to be seated further back where it was quieter.We ordered the Steak Salad and Pesto Fettuccini. Probably the best steak salad I've had -- perfectly cooked and dressed. I really liked the crispy potato cubes, onion strings and green beans. My daughter loved her Pesto Fettuccini with the grilled bread. Portions were perfect. Price point was reasonable.Service however was really slow. Maybe it was the late hour, but no one checked on us after our food came out and our drinks were never refilled. They were however very quick in bringing the check. When we left, the hostess was busy chatting with some guy and didn't notice us trying to use the locked revolving door to exit. We eventually figured out to use the small side door. Minus a star for all that.We may be back for the food. Hopefully the service will be better.

Went back for dinner thinking maybe different staff would be better, not the case. We waited for a long time to get service. They brought us a bottle of water, and once we finished it, they took our bottle, but never came back with a new one. The burger and fries were good, and it did come out reasonably fast, so that's why they are getting two stars. The waiter never came by to check on us. When we were finished the waiter just sat and talked with the bartender and some other employee standing there. They just need to REALLY work on getting new staff that knows how to work. I get better service at fast food establishments.
