If you want a bite of Texas this is your place to go. The food has been a major trade mark to my childhood especially the loaded potato. I loved the theme decorations back in the early 2000's, but it's evolved just like the rest.

I went here for lunch with a bunch of colleagues when we traveled last. The atmosphere isn't great or anything, but they have an alright amount of room. It's kind of like a cafeteria set up to order your food which wasn't bad but just weirder than usual. I ordered a baked potato and wow was that thing huge. It's like it was injected with steroids but man was that good. lol Great food, interesting atmosphere, and quick service.

Love their lunch specials!! Today I had ribs, two sides and a healthy slice of Texas toast. The sauce on the ribs was glorious! The green beans were seasoned perfectly. I've eaten here several times lately and find it to be consistently good. Plus, their food serving system at lunch is as speedy as fast food -- so if you're pressed for time, no worries there either. Their front dining room is also a great place for an informal business lunch.

GPB is the best bbq in Texas City folks... way better than Wrice BBQ down the road. The customer service is excellent and they catered our work safety luncheon and everyone loved it.Definitely not the best in Texas but a must try Yelpers... trust me.So let it be written... So let it be EATEN.

The BBQ is good. After reviewing some of the reviews we sat in the parking lot and left because we didn't think that it was any good. We finally gave it a chance it was definitely delicious. We got ribs quite a few times and the chopped beef.

Good BBQ!!! I usually get the 2 meat plate (Brisket and Pork Ribs) with 2 sides. Best time to buy is during lunch rush. Get everything nice and hot. Greta service with a smile!!

Don't come here!! Came around 7pm, I ordered 5 items and they didn't have it. No Cole slaw, no Mac n cheese, no fries, no burnt ends, no cheese sticks, no nothing!! Seemed like they were closing up early too. Everytime I ordered this lady kept saying, "nope don't have it" "nope dont have it" Service was rude, white lady could've been nicer telling people to hold on now. She had all 3 of her kids eating fried platters but yet the kitchen is closed for the public. And She got so flustered for some reason with my mom asking her a question. I also got the last order of rice but shouldn't have. I think she used her leftovers cause it was the end of her container, a random container. Something's not right. The brisket and ribs were dryer than the Sahara dessert. Paid too much for shitty BBQ, the butter didn't even melt on my spud, just a big chunk of butter and I asked for extra sour cream but didn't get it. I left hungry and broke.Posting here since yall removed my Google review!

I was so disappointed for returning to this place after 5 years. Back then I was treated rudely and today I got the same treatment. Why? And I only returned as a favor for a friend, picking up her lunch. I vowed to never spend my money here again and I'm glad I didn't. What happened again, the meat cutter was rude and the white family that came in after me received their food before me. Mind you, they ordered potatoes just as I did. This was done to me before by the same employees. I don't think I need to spell out what this looks like. I'm absolutely done. Never going back, not even for a friend. Again, 5 years and nothing has changed. It's a sad situation.
