If you're looking for a great no-frills bar that guarantees an enjoyable time, Grand Prize is a must-visit. As soon as you step in, it feels like you've been transported back in time to the coolest neighborhood bar from your favorite 80s movie. The crowd is diverse, the DJs are top-notch, and the drinks are excellent. To top it off, they have a fantastic rooftop patio upstairs with plenty of seating to mix and mingle. This bar quickly became one of my favorites.

Fairly good place. Always a vibe. I will say however the 47? year old bartender with the blonde ponytail that looks like a Nordic zombie come to life has a habit of ignoring people at the bar that are a certain complexion. Just saying. My friends and I (of a certain complexion) were being actively ignored. Watch your back here.

Loved this spot, probably my favorite 'dive-bar' style spot at the moment (for the vibes). We came in on a Friday night ~8.30 pm right as the crowd was starting to build. What I really loved about this spot, is the fact that it had so many different nooks and sections to it. Downstairs, they were playing some 90s music, and it was very pleasant sitting at the bar. They also had a section in the back, with a pool table and some arcade/pinball machines. I also love the fact that they had a separate food counter. And that upstairs, they had more of a tiki style bar, with a bunch of fun decor, and even an outside patio that was super pleasant. Also a nice touch, was the fact that they has a separate sound system upstairs, o they were playing different music in the upstairs portion of the bar. I personally had a few cocktails, and I thought they were all interesting in terms of flavors. You could tell some thinking went into each of them.

I was looking for a new place to check out close to Midtown and saw this on yelp. The first thing that hit us when we walked in was the stench of PISS. It's very noticeable, and we decided to continue to stay (to give it a chance) but drink on the upstairs deck which is outside.Drinks were a little pricey for the quality of the bar as well. Definitely out of date and decor is kind of all over the place with no theme.

Love this dive bar! The Christmas decor was very festive and added to the allure of the place. They have an outdoor rooftop area and downstairs patio area in addition to two floors of seating indoors. The hot dogs here are amazing, a must get! Fun place to hang with friends on a weekend night!

Came here after Christmas because we all need a break from the holiday. Met up with some old friends and did happy hour. I had not one but TWO of the outdoor couch, which was dangerously good. Got a little hungry so we ordered food from umbrella fellas. I had the hotdog with the Houston toppings. The cheese fries weren't bad but need more cheese.Service was alright, the bar was packed so it took a while to get drinks ordered.Parking was a bit difficult, read the signs and make sure you don't block any residence or business driveway/parking lots.If you come here on a Wednesday night, there's a little show upstairs at 9pm.

If you love bourbon, you're in for a treat. This hidden gem of a bar has an amazing selection of rare and premium bottles that you can sample before you run to a store to hunt for a bottle to buy. I was blown away by the quality and variety of their offerings. I had a pour of the Brookers Whisky, and it was smooth and delicious.The staff here are super friendly and knowledgeable. Megan was my bartender, and she gave me some tips on what to try next and what events they have coming up. They have a regular DJ and a cool vibe. You can also snap some photos with their awesome dark and moody decor.The only catch is that there is no sign, so you have to use your GPS to find the place. But trust me, it's worth it. Parking: Is on the street, so come early or be prepared to walk a bit.

One of the best places to come any day of the week! Bartenders are amazing and it's always a vibe here!
