I rarely give one star reviews, but after visiting and revisiting and trying many things on the menu I feel like I can confidently say this is a hard pass. As other reviewers have stated, there are too many other good Tex Mex places in Houston to settle for this one. The Food is very bland - and often excessively greasy (even for Tex Mex). For the price point I would never expect everything to be so dull. I wouldn't say things are "terrible" but I wouldn't recommend a single thing on their menu to a friend, and often leave hungry because I didn't enjoy my food enough to even finish it or take it home. I'm a huge fan of Goode company, and their other Tex Mex concepts like Taqueria on Kirby are amazing - so we kept returning to try and again and unfortunately kept being disappointed The service has also, unfortunately, been consistently poor here. While the wait staff is very kind every time we've visited orders have either been wrong, very delayed, or altogether missing. From food to check typically takes an excessive amount of time. Salsa and chips, and refills, are often forgotten entirely. We have ended up staying for over 1hr longer than expected on multiple occasions simply because our table was forgotten and wait staff that is not your server will not attend the table. The ambiance here is a really lovely, which is unfortunate given the bad food. I hope things improve over time but for now this will be our last time coming.

$64 for a pound of beef fajitas? The skirt steak was cooked okay, but it tasted underseasoned. The $28 "pitcher" of margaritas was a carafe filled with ice, short on booze. Service was fine. Liked our U-shaped booth because that gave us ample room for the food. At these prices, however, I will not return.

Came on a Saturday for brunch. The queso with beef is to die for....the chips it comes with melt in your mouth. The enchiladas were also amazing! Next time I want that dessert. We kept seeing it passed around and made my mouth water. Next time! Service was great. And I love they have their own merch with cute sayings. Awesome outdoor space. Would love to enjoy sitting outside next time as well.

Came here for Sunday brunch with some friends! We got some watermelon lemonades for drinks, which were decent but mostly tasted like lemonade, not as much of the watermelon. For appetizers, we got the queso and guacamole. We got the queso plain. It was DELICIOUS and came with these special flour tortilla chips which we wanted refills of haha! The guacamole was super fresh tasting and was also a good mix with the queso. For my main entree, I got the carne asada and eggs. I got the steak medium rare; however it was still kinda tough to chew and bite through. I wouldn't get it again. The rice and refried beans were nothing special. I used the flour tortilla it came with to make a taco with all the ingredients plus the guac and queso, which was good but again the cut of meat was just not good so it took away from the meal. Overall, I really enjoyed the appetizers but didn't really like the entree I got. Most of my friends also thought it was just okay as well. I did like the ambiance and liveliness on a Sunday morning but would try something different next time.

Very upsetting customer service. Used to love this place but will never be back. Manager was horribly rude after we had a bad experience with a water leak on the patio.

This location is super small and quite noisy. Came here with reservations at 6 on a Friday. The servers were great and attentive. Everyone is on their game for sure, from the hosts to the servers. The food did not stand out from any other TexMex place flavor wise. The skinny margarita was served in a really small glass without ice. You know those tiny champagne plastic things you get at wedding receptions? These are the same size but glass at least. I can't stand warm salsa and although that's what they have, I did taste it and the flavor was good. Way better than El Tiempo's warm salsa. The upside of that warm salsa is that I don't eat a bunch of chips so that keeps the calories down!

Wanted something different for brunch so we decided to give this spot we seen on TikTok a try. They had no wait which was great and as soon as we sat down they brought out some chips and salsa which was ok. Everyone was kind of weirded out by the salsa being hot but not me, the taste was ok I felt like it was missing something, but then we ordered the pitcher of sangria which was very tasty and I got the stuffed jalapeños which almost killed me lol. They did not take the seeds out of the peppers and omg I like hot foods but this one one I could not enjoy. The fajitas lacked seasoning, but those beef tacos and the bananas foster pancakes made up for that! If you don't get anything here you have to get the pancakes! I wanted to kiss the cook. You'll thank me later for sure give them a try

Service, drinks and queso was great. Do not get the chicken flautas, the chicken is "Smokey" but literally tasted like lighter fluid. Avoid at all costs

Great food! Excellent service! Playlist is a VIBE!! If you're looking for a spot in the Heights with great food and chill vibes, Goode Co. Kitchen & Cantina is where it's at. My go-to is grabbing a seat and an app at the bar. The bartenders? They're on it. You won't be waiting around for your drinks, that's for sure. Micheladas and margaritas FTW! Plus, the food comes out fast, which is perfect when you're hungry and ready to dive in.But what really seals the deal for me is the playlist. It's like they've got the perfect tunes on tap for a nostalgic Texas hang. I wish they'd share it because every song choice is fire!!!In a nutshell, Goode Co. nails it once again with great food, awesome service, and a vibe that keeps you coming back for more. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
