Ambiance was perfect , the service and food was grade A , the waitress was very attentive and professional, very fast as well. I've passed this place for years and today for the first time I indulged , can't believed I waited this long!!

I would just like to say that Mundo is THE best server ever! We've had him since his first week at Goode Co. and requested him ever since. My bestie and I go visit him once a week and knows what we want when we want. A waiter, so personable is refreshing to see now days! Goode Co is lucky to have him because he is the reason for us coming back. I recommend having him as a waiter next time as long as I'm not there!

A fun place for our little office party. Nice service and tequila mix drinks. Some people were dressed up and some were dressed casually and it all worked. The fajitas were good for Tex-Mex and the tortillas were fresh. We will come again for the ambience and drinks. Love the location near Spring Branch and off the 10.

For all you Houstonians who remember The Mason Jar, it is now Goode Company Kitchen & Cantina. Not every restaurant can be a 5 star experience, but this one was very close. I would give 4.5 stars if I could, but I can't give a full 5. The space has been beautifully remodeled with lots of windows and a nice Mexican flare. There is a decent sized bar at the entrance with several tables lining the outer perimeter. The main dining area, separate from the bar, has table and booth seating options. The restaurant itself is not very big, but they do a good job with the space available. It is a shotgun style structure, so you can see the entire dining area from any table. First off, the service was fantastic! We were well taken care of and never had empty drinks, chips or salsa. Margaritas, chips and salsa are so important for a good Mexican restaurant. This is why I am only giving 4 stars. I wasn't "wowed" on these items. The "Damn Good Margarita" was more sweet tasting than tart and didn't seem to be very strong. They serve them in a regular pint style glass. I was surprised it wasn't in a Mexican style glass. The chips are thin and crispy with a light coating of salt. The red salsa is warm and smokey with a slight sweet undertone. It's not the best salsa I've ever had, but it was better after I added a little salt to the dip cup. GCK&C has verde salsa upon request. Not a fan of this salsa since I prefer the creamier green salsa, but others at the table enjoyed it. For my meal, I ordered the No. 2 plate. It comes with one Enchilada, one taco al carbon, one tamale, rice and beans. I was able to substitute the tamale for a crispy ground beef taco. I wanted a plain cheese enchilada, but I was served a chicken enchilada instead. I did not send it back because I think the confusion was on my part. I didn't communicate well at the start of my order. It was good, but it wasn't what I originally wanted. Again, not our servers fault. The crispy beef taco was in a delicious shell. It was the best crispy taco I have ever eaten. Many times, those type items get soggy, but this one stayed crispy and it was filled with a good amount of tasty toppings. The beef fajita taco al carbon was seasoned well and rolled in a flour tortilla. I only had one bite since I was full, so I get to enjoy leftovers for lunch today. The rice and beans were okay. My rice had some hard pieces in it and the beans didn't have much flavor. I don't typically eat more than one bite of beans, so it wasn't a huge deal personally. I was more disappointed in the rice. All in all, I would go back to GCK&C. I loved the atmosphere, the music they played, the service, the portions are large and the meal itself was good. I know how to doctor the salsa to fit my tastebuds and next time I would get a higher quality margarita.

Out and about with the guys while the wifey was meeting with her writers group. Know what that means? Yes, time to get some Mexican food. This was my first time coming here, and right away I knew I was gonna like it here. The salsa is red and it comes out warm, it was delicious! We added a large order of queso, that was what you expect from queso. Good but not great, but I didn't think they needed to come out with sharks teeth. (Fried flour tortilla cut into triangles)Let's get to the whole reason this place gets 5stars from me. The Carnitas platter, the fried pork cones out and looks like a fajita platter, but that pork was so tender and delicious! The menu states that the carnitas is marinated for 3 days and it is marinated to perfection! If you ever come here, you don't even have to look at the menu, just order the carnitas! Trust me, you will thank me later. That's all for now, as I need to go into a food coma from eating too much carnitas.

Delicious food. Damn good margaritas. Great service. What more can I say?!Went on Mother's Day and expected a long wait but we were able to make a late afternoon reservation and were seated right away. Will definitely return

This place reminds me of Papasitos, and although the price range of dishes are comparable to Papasitos, the dishes are not as well seasoned.Well, the tacos are bland while the dressing on the (side dish) salad has a nice kick to it.The restaurant is sizable and has many areas to sit with multiple parties, and the meal options are plentiful. Also, the wait staff are very friendly and professional to their customers.

We went here for cinco de Mayo for the first time and the food/service did not disappoint! I got the beef enchiladas and it was delicious. The flavors were 100! Our friends got fish tacos and the grilled chicken salad and they all equally enjoyed their food as well and were very satisfied. Definitely recommend this restaurant, their Mexican food is really good!
