Good Dog Bar

Went here my partner. I'm not a bar person, but we were told their food was really good. So we ordered a Burger and fries. One of the best decisions I've made in my life! Their burgers are one of the best I've ever had! And their fries are delicious too! Whenever I'm around, I stop here... Just writing this out is making my mouth water.

A bar and grill with nice selection of food and drinks. It was packed at dinner time. Service was fast. Good selection of appetizers and entrees. Plenty of TVs for watching sports and entertainment.

I have had the burger from this restaurant twice now. I would say the burger is pretty good. It comes with a generous portion of sautéed onions on the burger which makes the burger taste good. It is a big and juicy burger. I think the price of the burger is pretty good. I would come to this restaurant again if I was hungry.

I was in Philly with my boss and a colleague for an industry event. They were asking for a place to go for a bite and a beer. I asked my daughter who is local for some recommendations and she recommended Good Dog Bar. There are many great restaurants in the center city area, but this one does a great job. At 6:30 on a Monday, the place was quite busy. We were able to get a booth. I didn't see any tables for large groups downstairs. Most of the bar area and tables were full when we started ordering. The beer selection is diverse and prices are reasonable. For my main dish, I had to try to vegan Philly Cheesesteak. You might say that this is quite blasphemous being in Philly and doing vegan. I'm not sure how they did it, but it was very tasty. They also have some awesome fries with it. As far as parking, find a lot or garage or it's better to use mass trans or bike.

While walking to our dinner reservation we past the good dog bar. Why not stop in for a drink. We did and we stayed for two rounds. We sat at the bar where we enjoyed conversation with the bartender. As I said the drinks were good the ambiance was nice. We watched as meals were being served to others patrons. The food smelled and looked so good we were tempted to stay. Have to say I liked the bar and pinned it for a return trip.

A really fantastic find, especially for late night! The bar is loud but they did have sports on tv and the service was really really good!! Very attentive and the food was pretty good. The Mac & cheese is appetizer but it's definitely enough for a meal for one. Would absolutely recommend to stop in

You don't go to good dog for the warm fuzzy feeling, you go for good food and reasonably priced drinks in a casual dive-like atmosphere. The happy hour is great with rotating specials and so far everything we've tried has been delicious. The bartenders are a specific type and I've never been here where someone wasn't thrown out. The bartenders are a bit sassy, generally civil but won't hesitate to tell you to get lost.

Stopped in for a to go order after work. Food was hot and ready so I did not have to wait.
