Golden Oak Micro Cellar

Very nice, winery in the country. Wine and food were great! Off the highway a few miles so nice and quiet. Owners very nice and helpful, prices were good also.

Gorgeous location and the owners are super friendly! Wines are fantastic and so is their cheese tray! Definitely nice for a Saturday or Sunday outing!

Happened to go a few weekends ago. Ended up loving the Blanc du Bois 2020. I bought 2 bottles of it for the holidays to share with family. Everyone loved it!!! I am going to have to go back and get more just to have at my house!!

Cute little family owned winery outside of New Waverly. Excellent wine with even better people running the business. Very personal and a fun little stop - highly recommend if you're in this part of Texas.

This is a small winery with its tasting room inside a converted house. It was nice inside and the service was pretty good. Really the only issue I had was the kids running back and forth throughout the winery and they were related to the owner.The wine was decent. I liked a few of the whites and the sweet peach was good. I wasn't a huge fan of the reds they were not as smooth as I usually like for my reds. The charcuterie board was good and had one unique cheese on there I haven't had before. We may go visit one more time in the future.

While most people were out shopping for Black Friday deals, my husband and I stumbled upon Golden Oaks Micro cellar.Upon arrival, Alex, the winemaker greeted us outside in the cold, dreary weather. He escorted us inside and floor-to-ceiling were pictures of their successes as a new winery. With a bar at one end and a telescope at the other, the dining room tables allowed space to look over the drink menu. My husband and I decided on a wine tasting and while he is a lover of reds, I on the other hand enjoy whites. Between the two of us, we tried the Setarosa Rosé Wine, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Beatrice Peach, and the Nectarine Peach Wines. This gloomy day ended up being one of the best days we've had in a long time. Alex was welcoming, funny, and is an excellent winemaker.Because I expressed my love of vineyards, he welcomed us to come back in the spring and to take a few cuttings for pruning experience. Clearly, Alex thoroughly enjoys speaking and educating others about his grapes and the process of winemaking. This made it an incredible experience! As always, we thoroughly enjoy supporting local businesses and this winery and vineyard did not disappoint. We will be returning soon.

We loved our visit to this winery!! We enjoyed our wine tasting flight out on a beautiful patio outdoors. (There's also an indoor tasting room if you prefer.) The patio is shaded and we loved the tranquil views. It was a highlight to meet the winemaker himself and learn the story of the property and wines. They have several award winning wines! One even got a bronze medal in the San Francisco International Wine Competition and several other awards. It's a lovely place to visit and we highly recommend it. You can try a tasting flight and sample all the different wines, or get a glass or bottle to enjoy. We had a lovely afternoon and we recommended this winery as a great destination for anyone visiting nearby! We will certainly be back again!

What an amazing winery! We had a great time here, great customer service! They were so friendly! And the cheese plate was delicious! And the wine was really good! The bathrooms were so clean! This was our first time here, and our experience was great! We will definitely be returning here again soon!

Great little winery. The inside is cute and quaint. The owner was great. My friends and I had a wonderful time and will return again.

We were invited to visit my brother's favorite winery. I have to say it was wonderful, the owners are so friendly, and the wine was amazing. We tried the tastings and were able to try all the wines. We left with several bottles and 2 beautiful wine glasses. As we were leaving, several of the regular locals were coming in, seems to be a hot spot for the area. I would definitely recommend; we had a great time!
