Golden House Grill

Located in the plaza of Bob's Discount Furniture in Worcester, the Golden House Grill is an oasis that is worth discovering. It is possible that the ambiance will cause you to halt when you first come in because it is somewhat humble and bare-bones, but you should not let this discourage you. The service is always attentive and courteous, and there is plenty of space available, particularly to accommodate families near the front of the establishment. Despite the fact that it took some time to make, the chicken mandi that I ordered was served scorching hot, fresh, and well worth the wait. The chicken mandi is made with halal meat. I added some heat to it by using the sauces and spicy sauce that were provided, which really brought out the true tastes of the dish. Do not pass up the opportunity to indulge in genuine Middle Eastern cuisine in Worcester; this restaurant is not to be missed!

Fabulous, we were on our way to Wendy's for a quick bite. But luckily we spied the sign for Mediterranean food and decided to go there instead. Did I already say Fabulous, well I'll say it again. Thought it was a take out place when we walked in, but our greeter asked if we were dining in and then showed us to one of 3 large rooms for dining in.Delicious food and the staff couldn't be more gracious. Do yourself a favor and try Golden House Grill. We did and we couldn't be happier with our decision.

I placed a delivery order for a beef shawarma wrap. The description on the website said it comes with rice on the side, however when I received my order it was just the wrap only. When I called the restaurant to ask about it they said only the platter comes with rice, despite what they have written on their own website. I wouldn't have cared if I hadn't spent $14 on a little thin wrap. Definitely never ordering from here again.

If you're used to a Doner Kebab, where the meat is shaved off the skewer rather than cut into chunks, this is not the place to come. If you're familiar with how Lamb is supposed to taste, you'll be disappointed by their (either) mutton/goat they claim to be lamb. As a place to try the food, fine but it was not what we expected. FYI: A Doner Kebab is not the same as a Gyro.

Yum! Ordered 3x from here - twice the chicken shawarma bowl and once the plate. Both excellent. Loved the salad with the dressing. Love the spices and garlic sauce.

I just wanted to share a good experience I had, the prices are extremely reasonable and I recently ordered their whole rotisserie chicken, subhanAllah it came with rice, salad, hummus, garlic yogurt and bread and everything was so very well done and flavorful- all for only twenty dollars. I'm definitely a customer!

Went online to place an order during regularly scheduled hours. Allowed online order placement, charged my card. Received a call that stated they are closed and would cancel the order but my card is still charged.

The food is delicious and reasonably priced! We had One of the best we've had in Worcester. The staff at the restaurant were helpful and friendly. Portions were just fine for us. Definitely a keeper!

The food here is fresh, and delicious. We ordered two vegetable style platters which included: hummus, babaganoush, falafel, pickles, grape leaves, salad, and pita bread. We also ordered some rice sides. The portions were generous, and very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly, and helpful explaining the many menu options. They even gave us a sampling of chicken shawarma, which was flavored so wonderfully. The dining area is small, just room for a few tables. However there appears to be much more seating at the adjoining restaurant. Maybe they're one in the same, I'm not sure. It seems the negative reviews here are based on delivery situations. I would highly recommend this spot.

I had a mediocre experience. The beef shawarma was tasty, however the portion left much to be desired. We also ordered a platter. Everything seemed fresh, but it did not blow us away. The rice was also disappointing and the beef was certainly over-cooked. I had a similar experience as another reviewer regarding the website. The platter that I ordered from the official website was $10 more than the "same" platter off the physical menu, which also had a different name all together. No mention of this when I ordered over the phone. In person, no apology was given, just blame towards whoever built the website. The fellow was nice, but I did not appreciate what could be considered a "bait and switch" tactic. It was clean. I probably will not return.
