This is a different kind of Chinese takeout joint. They partner with Bunny Hop PHL and the business seems to operate with that philosophy in mind and heart. The inside is clean. Only one table with a book about local businesses that is cool to read while you're waiting for your order. Instead of the typical framed food pics up along the counter wall (you know where you look at all the food you tell yourself you're gonna try out next time but never do) they color-blocked the frames, adding a bit of energy and pop to the space, which makes me feel like the staff care about the overall experience of the restaurant. The General Tso is on point, very balanced flavor. It's not too sweet or sour which IMO is the biggest risk of ordering General Tso at a new Chinese takeout spot. The breading is puffy and even, which lets the meatiness of the chicken come through. Very very solid General Tso. I also got the Tod Mun which comes with rice and a dipping sauce. The fish cakes themselves were spiced (think red curry flavor?) and aromatic. The dipping sauce was a good contrast against the fish cakes--sweet and sour and slightly thickened with little tiny triangular cucumber bits to freshen it up. If you like Southeast Asian flavors get this. Orange Chicken wings were good. Extremely scallion-y. They also have regular fried chicken wings. I didn't try the regular fried wings yet, but if they're as good as everything else I got I'm gonna have a new wing spot.

Golden dragon had its soft launch this weekend so we stopped in to try the new menu. Got a few things: fries, orange chicken wings, shrimp curry, and cucumber salad. It took about 45 minutes for our order to be ready which is understandable given that it's literally their second day in business. But apart from that one critique, I was impressed by the value and quality of the food. The curry was spicy and flavorful, and while the portion was on the small side, it was only $5 so that felt fair. The fries were thick and hand cut and well seasoned. The cucumber salad was well balanced. But the star of the show were the wings: perfect cooked and juicy, a nice crispy batter, sticky orange glaze that wasn't overly sugary, and a big sprinkling of scallions. I can't wait to try their dumplings next time. Keep an eye on their Instagram for updates on menu and hours. There's gonna be a line out the door before long.

Really great food! The menu is limited but I would happily take quality over quantity. We got take out and our whole family was very happy.

Great for take out! I had tofu general tso's and it was delicious and crispy. The cucumber salad was excellent particularly for someone like me who likes pickles. There were a few other special items available from their Instagram!

This place is amazing - I saw it on IG a while ago and finally got around to trying it. I'm kicking myself for not going sooner! The staff are so nice and my order was ready and hot when I got there. The chicken wings are the best I've had, and the general Tso's tofu was really tasty and fresh. I love that the broccoli wasn't cooked to death - it was fresh and crunchy. And the serving size is very good! I def have enough for lunch tomorrow. I'll be back!!

I love the fact they kept the name but this place is no ordinary Chinese take-out. We ordered a burger and a chicken sandwich from their soft opening this weekend. Both were just so good, very fresh with great tartar sauce. We cannot wait to order more when they open in 2022!!
