Fantastic neighborhood gem! They have a large menu, and everything we tried was delicious. Friendly service, spacious patio, dog-friendly, and accept both cash/card. Prices are also very affordable, and they're open early enough to visit before work!

A hidden gem in the East End of H-Town...only 3 yrs old, and in the shadow of a nearby 60 yr old institution over on Sampson, but the menu is large and varied, and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly, the burger, fries, torta and pupusa I ordered delicious.I loved the dining room...sitting at a wooden picnic table, reading a book while I enjoyed my meal.Another plus is the clean bathroom! No need to hit the nearby Valero before stopping by. :-DThey deserve more business, especially more support from the locals.Conveniently reached by Metro, and plenty of parking if you come by car. This was my 1st visit, but won't be my last.

Super bomb! Little hole in the wall spot I found when I first moved to Houston. Recommend the breakfast sandwich for sure!

Locally owned and operated, taqueria food, located next door to my office, big fat bonus. Some days you just want a cheap flauta plate, or cheap taco plate. CHEAP is the word. Call it in ahead of time, you'll be glad you did. Their nachos are the bomb, they fry the chips in house and they are crazy crunchy, standard cheese, but the fajita meat is so good. Quesadillas are good and plentiful, never had a torta, but my husband likes them. Basically all of their food is good, it's not out of the world stellar, but it is good. Enjoy!

Just a joint. It's on canal right outside of downtown. I'm told the tacos are very good and I know the service is good. I've been here before but know it seem a lot of new bars are opening up right around this place which make this the perfect place to get taco within walking distance. Like I said a nice little joint.

Great food! Fresh and hot when I went to pick it up. I ordered the flauta plate which is $4.99 (on special). Comes with 4 flautas, rice and beans and fixings. Nice little patio area if your looking for a place to eat al fresco.

I ordered the fajita torta with some fries and it healed my soul. Be warned, their green salsa is great but definitely has a kick. The prices were more than fair for the amount of food that you're getting.I visited during prime lunch time and the parking was decent. They have covered seating that is outside but I decided to take this to-go. For to-go orders, they have a window where you order your food and seats right across where you can wait for it to be ready but there's also the option to call in and pick it up.My main concern before visiting "hole in the wall" restaurants is that they'll only take cash as payment but luckily they also accept card. So no excuses to not visit ;)

Great little neighborhood restaurant in the East End. There's a breakfast menu with your normal Tex-Mex breakfast options as well as lunch and dinner selections like tortas, gorditas, flautas, tostadas, milanesa, pupusas, and hamburgers (yes, hamburgers). For beverages, you have your pick of aguas frescas (fruit juice mixed with sugar and water) like horchata, jamaica, and limonada; licuados (smoothie-type drink) of banana and strawberry; and juices like orange, carrot, and celery. They don't display the full menu in the window, so be sure to ask the attendant what all of the options are. The ladies I interacted with could speak English but did struggle with communication sometimes, so if you have a Spanish speaker to assist, that's a plus.I went at lunchtime and ordered a large jamaica, torta (sandwich on a soft roll) with pastor (shawarma-style pork) along with French fries for less than $13. While I waited on my meal, I was brought tortilla chips with a tasty green salsa. The food came out shortly thereafter, and I had few complaints. The torta bread was soft and fresh, and while I would have preferred the pork to be a liitle juicier and more flavorful, it made for a great meal nonetheless. The only true downside of the place is that there is no indoor or temperature-controlled seating. There is an attached covered patio for which they have a fan, but I would not want to dine there on one of Houston's many days when the temperature jumps into the 90s or 100s. For that reason, it does seem like most of the business here is for takeaway rather than dine-in.Overall, a highly pleasant, inexpensive experience with a very friendly and hospitable staff, and a place I will recommend to others.

Fresh, fast, and friendly. So many fresh juice choices. Breakfast tacos and salsas are yummy. Tortillas taste homemade.

Nice little while I'm the wall. Beware the red salsa if you're sensitive to heat but it's a delicious addition to any taco.
