You definitely have to try the miso soup here with its light delicate miso flavors and it's rich broth very very very good. I also love the deinen experience at this restaurant as it is eclectic and as well as spacious they've been around here in the Humble area for years and I believe it's family, owned and operatedand definitely game changer if You likes soup, miso is to die for I definitely like it

I wanted to love this place.Unfortunately they fell short.Food didn't taste fresh. Ordered a bento box and the general tso chicken tasted like chicken nuggets drowned in a very not general tso sauce. Rice was luke warm and mushy. The best part of my order was the gyoza but how can one mess that up. I ordered the fried octopus balls... very weird wet consistency and different from other places I've tried. They served my bento box and my friends food for whatever reason they though was to go so his didn't come until ten minutes later. Idk why though lol it was only us and one other party there. As far as cleanliness idk. There's a lot of random things collecting dust in thick layer not being cleaned off and the window where we sat was gross like someone spilled stuff and they never cleaned it. Then, what I think is the owner, stood near the sushi rolling guys chatting. The gentlemen passes him a sushi pocket to eat right then and there.. neither cleaned their hands or anything when the owner had just come from somewhere outside. And then the gentlemen proceeds to roll sushi for guests. This place had decent reviews but I think people just don't know quality Will not return.

This review pains me terribly to write, but unfortunately this restaurant fell extremely short of any or little expectation. The restaurant walls and blinds are dirty as if a child got soy sauce and splattered it across. The food was very bland and the fried rice felt as if it was stale or left our for a few days. The only good thing I ate here was the dumplings and the salad. I ordered general tso's bento box for dinner and the chicken wasn't even crispy as it usually is, it was soggy and the sauce was so so bland. The only reason I gave stars was because the staff was so incredibly kind and understanding. He was willing to take the dish back and remove the dish from our receipt since I was unhappy. He himself agreed it was a bit off and explained that it might be because the owner was out of the country and the back staff might be slacking. Whatever the case may be, I believe this restaurant has room to grow and know it can turn things around!

Great sushi, great bento boxes...must try if your in the Atascocita area. Sushi chefs are next level for this area. You won't find any better on the north side of Houston.

Sushi was great, I got the Lion Roll. Very creamy and delicious, but didn't make me full-I'll probably order a second roll next time. I tried the bento (stir fried(?) steak and fried rice with wonton soup) not bad. Eggroll was the best thing there, very freshly fried and good filling. Paired best with the garlic soy sauce they gave you. The fried gyoza wasn't as good. The wonton soup was good, but the wonton filling wasn't seasoned. The steak mix was a bit dry, but my mom liked it. The fried rice was a bit sparse, as in there was more rice than any other mixed in egg or ingredients. Service was very quick and attentive. Polite servers, good knowledge of the menu. Ambiance was also mostly quiet and uncrowded, save for when dinner hour struck.

This is some of the best Asian food especially sushi anywhere in the Houston area. It's also a very nice quiet, quaint little romantic place.

Always a favorite spot for our family to grab sushi! I especially enjoy the tuna crudo. The bento boxes are always tasty. I really appreciate when I'm in the mood for sweet and sour chicken and I order here, the chicken is cooked to perfection and not greasy. My favorite sushi roll is the cowboy.

Our absolute favorite sushi place in Humble!! Sushi is always so fresh and the best quality. Service is exceptional every time! There are about 15 tables inside plus the bar top seating. Smaller more intimate restaurant. They have 2 other locations in the kingwood area.

Edible, but low quality food. Ginger Cafe used to be a good restaurant, but their quality sure has gone downhill and prices are unreasonable for the poor food.I ordered the General Tso's chicken with fried rice and egg roll. What I received was NOT General Tso's, or at least an incredibly poor version of it. It was battered and fried chicken with some thin mystery sauce underneath it. The sauce reminded me vaguely of an orange chicken or possibly a General Tso's without the spice. There were no onions, carrots, bell peppers or any other vegetable in it. Just fried chicken pieces and a small amount of vague sauce. I'd have done better to just get a frozen entree at a grocery store instead. The fried rice was absolutely nothing special, and was less than average quality. Egg roll was decent, but not outstanding in any way. I also ordered the Hot & Sour Soup. It was OK, but has a slight vinegar taste to it. It's spicy, but has a strange flavor and I probably wouldn't order it again. My wife ordered the Hibachi Chicken and fried rice. Her food was a disaster. The chicken was dry. It had a little teriyaki sauce, but not much. She only had a piece or two, and couldn't finish it. I tried the chicken and it wasn't moist or tender in any way. It wasn't enjoyable. The vegetables were OK, but not much teriyaki sauce and nothing that reminded me of a good Hibachi. She said the fried rice was awful. It smelled to her like dirty gym socks, or like the rice was old and stale. I tried a little, and it tasted OK to me but she has a better nose for off-smells than I do. I don't know if Ginger Cafe is under new management or changed cooks, but the food used to be good. Now, I can find much better food at any other Asian restaurant. Ginger Cafe is not recommended based on this last visit.
