This is a small Butter Pecan. $2.76. Great price for homemade ice cream.

Great ice cream flavors, not all the flavors in the world but has a cozy and cheap collection. No places to eat or sit but great for a quick, pick-up/pit stop. Great staff, very patient with communication even with cars blaring by.

I should have listened to other Yelpers, especially the ones I really trust. The ice cream isn't the best. It lacks flavor. I could overlook that if they didn't give out such puny portions. Our pint sundae cups were half filled with ice cream, sparse toppings and then filled to the rim with whipped cream. Total rip off for $5. Brodie's in Bensalem is under $5 for a large sundae and they PACK the pint with ice cream and toppings. Also, we arrived 15 minutes before closing. Those girls couldn't wait to close up and get out. My husband and I were sitting on the bench eating and they turned off the outside lights leaving us in complete darkness. NEVER AGAIN.

This place used to be good. Stopped there tonight because it was on the way home. They are overpriced and smaller cups then our usual spot on 13. Ordered a regular sundae got home and the cup was only half full. If you want good ice cream and better prices go to dairy delight

Gibby's is another of the 1950's style ice cream houses that dot lower Bucks County. It is all glass, stainless and jutting ascending red roofline, staffed by high school cuties that bring the innocence necessary for a complete summer childhood reverie. It sits at the bottom of Veterans Highway, just south of New Falls Road in Levittown, PA., across from a long row of old strip commercial drive ups that help complete the sense that you are more than just an ice cream licker, but also a time traveler. The Store carries mostly hard 'scream, with a nod to vanilla and chocolate soft serve. Given the lack of choice compared to its siblings in the area that offer at least a few more soft flavors, I went with Black Raspberry and Butter Pecan in a medium paper cup. At $3.50, it was a steal, or more accurately, confirmation that I had entered 1976. The only real issue here is that the creme glace was not as good as the other joints in the area. Not sure who makes their brand, but it had a flat taste; nor was it as creamy and sweet as expected. The Butter Pecan had fewer nutty implants, and lacked the mild saltiness of the pecan that so well offsets the usual sugar rush on the tongue. The Black Raspberry had a mildly tart afterbite. Not bad, but had me wondering why it was there. After the individual scoops melted and merged into each other, it was more enjoyable. Still, not the heavy smooth happy zazz found in Jo-Jo's, nor the amazing cool creaminess of Dairy Delight.

The service was great my downfall is the parking lot and seating. I am a handicapped woman who walks with a cane and I have a bad knee and the parking lot is pot hole city and I nearly fell walking to get in line. Then there's only one bench which was full so I had to sit in my sons car and eat my ice cream. Maybe they should look into adding like a picnic table or more benches for those who would like to sit and eat.

I have lived five minutes away from Gibby's for almost 15 years and finally decided to give them a try. There's just something uninviting about it that's kept me away, but I just didn't want to deal with the crowd at Dairy Delight on Woodbourne. It's kinda dumpy looking and the parking lot asphalt torn up like this was Kensington. There wasn't a line at 9:30pm on a Tuesday. I went to order a medium Peanut Butter Chipple with hot fudge, but was told fudge required a sundae size. Um...what? Okay, fine. That's just weird. Came back with plenty of room in the cup. I didn't want a full sundae size, but if you're going to charge me for it, at least fill the cup. Now I feel doubly nicked by being forced into a sundae and getting a 2/3 filled cup. The ice cream was good as was the fudge. No complaints about the product, just everything else about the visit detracts from the overall appeal of going again.

I went to Gibby's before they closed for the season. The ice cream was as good as when they first opened. It's so creamy and Rich. The staff is always courteous, if you ask for a sample they give it with a smile. I can't wait till they open again in the spring.

Quite possibly the best homemade ice cream I have had. The chocolate peanut butter is my favorite. Gibby's is a very cute store and has a retro feel. Bring the kids and pups too...they will all be happy campers!! Susie M.
