We adore this restaurant. Their food is UNMATCHED in Denver when it comes to quality and price. Definitely worth the drive from Denver, which is only about 20 minutes.From the wings to sandwiches, we are never disappointed and have been back several times. The staff is SO kind and seem passionate about what they're doing. It's a counter order kind of place, but there's a cute neighborhood and a public library right next door if you want to wander while you wait! They bring the food right outside to your car, which is very convenient.If you're craving BBQ, something spicy, or just a DELICIOUS meal, you have to try out Genna Rae's.

Oh my goodness this little gem has the best burger ever..I can't believe they have been in business for 8 years and this is our first time experiencing them! Ok..so great burger, wings and peach cobbler.. take out only which is ok for us..parking on the street is fine.. its right on the alley between Williams and high on 28th..north side of the street..they do have one picnic table outside! Really sweet people and Dawn was great! You won't be disappointed..oh I forgot we had the big papa burger with no pickles and it feeds 4 easy or better be real hungry lol! So delicious

The food is good but they can't get the food out in a timely fashion. I waited more than half an hour for chicken tenders. Mind you, there's no seating. I was just standing around on the sidewalk for 35 minutes waiting for chicken tenders.Follow up: after 45 minutes I still hadn't received my order and simply had to leave without ever getting my food because I had to be somewhere.

Soul food- omg! We were craving wings and this was the perfect spot. Note they are take out only- there's a picnic bench outside but not a ton of options -so best to prep for a picnic if you don't live close. I tried wings, catfish, greens and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was just ok. The wings are definitely the star- must eat! I was licking my fingers.

I will never give my money to this establishment ever again. Thank you for having absolutely no integrity regarding my order, and I spent over $100, and did not receive my food. Would give a zero review if I could.

We live close by to Miss Genna Rae's and we are so lucky! A very small kitchen with no seating inside, this place serves up fabulous soul food bringing some much needed flavor to Denver!We ordered the cheeseburger, catfish, sweet potato fries and Mac and cheese and greens. Everyone at the table was silent- which you know it means it was incredible. That cheeseburger with the toasted bun is FABULOUS. Cooked to perfection, old school cheeseburger vibes! The CATFISH, though! Wow! Best catfish on Denver! Go to this place and enjoy the incredible food. The staff are really cool. This is a hidden gem!

There is no way that this is not a 5 star food joint in the triple D category. I got a burger and wings from here and they just knocked it out of the park. The burger was easily a half pound and was certainly one of the best burgers I've ever had from food joint. The wings were good. Great BBQ on them. I was slightly concerned they were a little undercooked, but it turned out just fine! The place is just not what you would expect. There's 0 seating. The building is barely larger than a food truck and it seems like it's a meh area of town. The cashier, whom I'm assuming might own or co-own was very delightful. We ended up waiting about an hour for all of us to get our food due to our group size, but he sent a bunch of extra wings. Overall I could have eaten a burger from here every day and been happier than a clam while we stayed there. Highly recommend it.

Our first time here &our LAST!This is a NO!The jerk chicken is cube chicken , I was confused I thought it was gonna be legs or thighs and it is SALTY! SALTY! SALTY WE ALSO GOT THE RIB DINNER AND THE RIBS ARE TUFF! SALTY !Sides are good Not worth $48.00

Ordered about an hour before close and got a call a few mins later telling me my food would be ready sooner than it had said. When I picked it up the box was HEAVY. Full of some good food. Deffo worth every penny.
