Gelato Irpino Media

We didn't realize this little gelato place was even a thing until we purchased a Groupon. I actually have been to Ariano before for dining under the stars but that was before they added this on. The girl running the gelato section told me it's been there for about a year. It was a lot nicer inside than I anticipated. There were bar stools up against the wall/windows and there were also a couple of tables...one big one. You can have Ariano food served there. That seemed odd to me. Personally, I wouldn't want to dine at that table where people are in and out buying gelato. But that's me. The girl running the gelato counter was extremely nice. She had great customer service. She explained how everything worked, that the printed menu wasn't always up to date because a lot of the gelato is seasonal and changes often but you can add a shot of espresso OR a shot of liqueur to any of the gelatos. She said we could order a single scoop, a double scoop or a "home made" which was a triple scoop...you could combine any flavors. We were able to try as many flavors as we wanted before making our final decision. I was shocked but I actually liked the hazelnut better than the Nutella crunch...and I am a BIG Nutella fan! The cherry amaretto was good but I wouldn't get it again. The hazelnut was definitely my favorite. My man got pistachio and Oreo, both of which he enjoyed. I love that the gelato was nice and cold. I've been to places where the place isn't cold and the gelato itself isn't cold. I was happy to have a nice, cold gelato!We took them to go. Service was quick. She did explain to us though that she makes the desserts for Ariano as well so sometimes it gets backed up if people are waiting for gelato and servers are waiting for desserts. Cute little establishment, clean interior, delicious gelato and great service! We will return and I highly recommend other people give it a try! I'm glad they had a Groupon available so I was able to be introduced to its existence.One drawback...I really needed to use the lavatory but there weren't any located on this side, I would have had to go to the main restaurant side and I felt weird doing that so I waited until we got home.

They don't exist! Take your listing down. 20 minutes of walking around and 2 phone calls and actually speaking to an employee who couldn't give directions. No signage whatsoever. All it is is a handful of deserts served from the restaurant. The gelato place closed years ago they said when I finally asked at the restaurant. I said impossible, I just spoke to a girl on the phone and she said they were open and next to dos gringos. They're not next to dos gringos. The restaurant is across the street. So the hostess says gelatos closed. So I call the number again. The girl next to her answered and they giggled. I said you think that's funny. I've been walking around for 20 minutes looking for the gelato place. All you had to do is say it closed and we're a restaurant serving gelato dessert. Best thing I saw was the place looked nice and looked clean on the outside.

Yay for super awesome gelato & super awesome service! Media was its usual busy busy town on a booming Saturday night! Great weather in the beginning spring calls for an outdoors gelato date. Walked in around 9:00 PM & business was for sure booming! People definitely love this place. The inside was packed & they were running out of flavors. That's always a good sign. The cashier was super nice. He offered samples, which I gladly took & ending up deciding on some classic cookies & cream! Boyfriend went with chocolate in a cone. Chose outdoor seating (super thankful for that!) Love this place!

Delicious!! Unsuspecting little gelato place. I had the Nutella crunch, which was delicious. I never would have thought to combine those ingredients. I will be back!!!

Amazing personal service and exquisite gelato deserts infused with cordial alcohol flavors and expresso drinks also. Great place to end a perfect evening. Highly recommend.

I got the peanut butter gelato and it was so good!! I would definitely recommend it. Had a lot of flavor and was smooth. It was also cutely decorated. Would recommend!

We love this gelato, especially the peanut butter gelato and the affigato with chocolate gelato. The sorbets could use more intensity of flavor. And, at least tonight, the music was so loud that we almost left without placing our order, which we had to almost scream in order to be heard. If they improve these issues, Iesoecially the loud music, I will submit a new review with a higher rating.
