This diner is underrated. After coming here many times with friends I feel I have enough reason to now fairly rate this place.It has a fairly cozy atmosphere as two sections of the diner are available for people to be served good food. The breakfast was great so much so I thought I wasn't trying other kinds of food so I got some things that were different too on some visits. That food like for lunch is good too! Besides regular expected breakfast fare they provide hot sandwiches and some have deals like a soup on the side (Note: And the soup was tasty!). I hope many more people come here though it does seem to get nice enough business. If anyone is on the road passing through this and they have time and a hankering for some well-made meals I suggest try out Gateway Diner!

I have been coming to this diner for years since it is around my neighborhood and very convenient. The menu consists of your standard diner food that is good but not particularly great. I usually order breakfast food when I go and they are always willing to customize my order if it doesn't line up with one of their specials. The service is fast and the waiters/waitresses are very polite.Overall a good place for a quick bite to eat but that's pretty much it. Be aware that the place is also very outdated but still clean!

Stopped in for breakfast. Diner is small and cozy. Food was good and cooked to our liking. Had no complaints.Service on the other hand left much to be desired. Our server gave us the impression we were interrupting her day. No greeting, no smile, just took our order. Had to track her down to get a refill on my coffee; then she seems to just toss the creamers on the table. Not really impressed.We left no tip and will not visit this diner in the future.

Excellent food and prices, but smells like a cow barn when you walk in. Place needs to be cleaned up. Saw flies inside also. How much would it cost to clean the place up. Very fewCustomers, no wonder. Service is great everyone friendly.

Its a diner so it comes with its own rules and oddities which i can handle. There was a restaurant now burned down in an adjoing town that NEVER totaled your check. At that place you had to guess before you paid on what your tip should be. So i can take anything this cool diner would dish out WHAT I LOVE:1 Great for women solo diners. You never get shoved into a corner cause you are solo nor do people stare cause you are alone. 2. Reasonably priced food that is fast, fresh and filling. 3 Service has except for one occasion in the 10 years I've dined here has always been attentive and quick. Oftentimes even nurturing4. Its a diner in an diner underserved county. . 5. Plenty of parking. Here on a snowy day and its totally cleared.

We went to this diner for breakfast this morning as a new experience. From the start, we were being given looks by the employees and felt very uncomfortable the entire time we were there. The staff were giving us dirty looks and the food was mediocre. The whole experience was not welcoming or inviting whatsoever. Afterwards, our stomachs were hurting so bad the entire day. The food was bad. The service was worse. If I could give this place 0 stars, it would most definitely earn it.

I used to go with my husband and baby here all the time (2001 thru present). Lately every time I order, SOMETHING or more usually multiple items are missing when I get it home. The person who answers the phone sounds extremely bored. I tried to get the turkey with stuffing entree. It comes with 2 sides, and soup or salad. They said "you want mashed potatoes"? I said yes please with gravy. I had to ASK do I get soup or a salad with the entree? They then replied that I do. I had to ASK!!! Then, I get it home, it's just turkey and mashed potatoes. No stuffing. This used to be a wonderful diner where the ladies who worked there cared. Now, they give you what they feel like and generally leave out items which are paid for. Guess I'm saying goodbye to gateway.

Received meal with no roll, no plastic utensils and no dessert.Called to ask what happened to the pie and I could hear someone in the background saying "I put it in"...I called grubhub+ and they issued a refund.Going to call back and cancel the $3.00 tip, If she put it in, the delivery person must have swiped it. Once is enough. Never going to use them again. Too many places, especially during Covid, are 100% correct with their orders.

The quality has gone downhill. I ordered takeout this morning. When I got home, our toast was missing. They also did not put jelly, ketchup, salt and pepper in the bag. We ordered takeout many times before and were also provided with everything we needed. The omelets were small.
