Okay guys out the starting gate, yes it's very small but that's not necessarily a bad thing. But that's not why only 3/5. They try and it's organized, can't knock them for that. The people and vendors it attracts are all friendly and inviting. Live music & security present. It's just gotten so basic compared to it was years ago. Look at the old pictures & go, you'll be a little disappointed. We went during peak/ mid time and it left alot to be desired. Everything wasn't sold out, nothing like that. They have potential but I really wish there was more variety. One food truck, one dessert, one drink bar, etc. it started like that when we walked in but it got a bit repetitive when 4 different people sold beverages & one man selling just wax beans, no fruit or other veggiesImagine someone hosting a potluck and they make just brisket & green beans, while 6 people brought different versions of potato salad and no drinks. Your standards aren't high but you do expect more than JUST those things random things to be there. I will try again another time at random & update it.

Last weekend we went to this farmers market and I have to say I love this market. I have to be honest it's a small farmers market but the products they had to offer where super fresh and locally grown or made. The best part of our visit was the Galveston bread company had a both out there and hands down the best bread I have ever had. They have a range of bagels to ciabatta bread and everything was super fresh!! Over all we had a really awesome experience.

"Quaint" may be a word that comes to mind when you first visit the farmer's market. If you're from a big city, you might be used to the endless rows of white tents, but Galveston's will do just fine.My personal favorites for vendors are Galveston Bread and any of the produce stalls. I love the bread, and the baker is always very friendly and helpful. The produce is always super fresh, and there's usually a variety to pick from. The farmer's market also includes vendors for jams, kombucha, honey, coffee... a large variety! Sometimes the vendors will rotate a little but for the most part I have seen the same people there week after week. They usually have some live music going, and on certain days closer to holidays they sometimes have special events at the market. Stop by if you want to grab a few local products and support local businesses!

A great mix from a man who roasts coffee beans on a barbeque grill to. Organic Urban farmers. Food trucks a nice way to spend part of your afternoon, on the island. very dog-friendly.

I enjoy going, but do wish it wasn't the same vendors every week. I Also wish people would put prices out so you don't have to ask about every single price...i most often just move on. I really appreciate the recycling and donation based coffee offered there.

We went a couple times while in Galveston in February. So there were just a few vendors, but what was there was very nice! Kombucha and baked goods. A bread maker that really likes to tell you about his breads. I'm sure it must be better once more produCe is available.

I really like the vibe here on Sunday mornings. Live music, plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh bread... and pretty much everything is made or grown in Texas! One of my favorites is the Kombucha, brewed fresh on the Island every week. Right now they also have fresh peaches, grown here in the county. And the raw honey is bee-farmed right in Galveston. We make this a definite Sunday morning stop before church so we can get our veggies and Kombucha for the week. Many of the vendors now accept credit cards, but its best to have cash on hand so you aren't disappointed. If you live in Galveston (or just here for a visit), you will enjoy this market!

April 23, 2023I'm a volunteer with the farmers market but, for the young gardeners program with the schools. This morning I got up bright and early at 630a to help set up tents, tables and chairs, signage for all the vendors to use; met the market mgr Candy (she's awesome) I talked to a lot of people (which I love) and i helped sell Morgan Elementary schools veggies from their garden. I bought some fresh kombucha from 3rd Coast and fresh homemade tamales from, momma's tamales in Houston. It started raining and lightning around 1045a; I needed to leave at 11am so it all worked out. Love volunteering

The market is back open every Sunday from 9am -1pm, it's so much fun and my favorite thing is the fresh roasted coffee beans. They also have meats, breads, gluten free/vegan, veggies, flowers, and ready meals. They also have recycle bins to bring your recyclables in each week.
