Great selection of craft beers, and unlike some small breweries, they all tasted different. We hit the place twice while we were there and on the second visit, tried a warm pretzel. We like their beer & taproom enough to buy a few of their logo wear. The wife has a hoodie, I've got a tin for the garage and a couple 6 packs I took home.

Galveston Island Brewing was our first stop into town, and we couldn't have picked a better place to stretch our legs (and get a fantastic pint) before our beach house was ready. The kiddos loved the playground. We loved the beer and vibe. I was particularly living vicariously through the retired "regulars" that were bellied up to the bar, talking to the sweet bartender. We're making GIB a tradition for when we first get into town.

Staying at the State Park and cruising breweries (one per day). Craft beer life is good!

Galveston Island Brewing has come a long way since they started as a tiny micro brewery with only bar seating. The brewery has it all. Indoor seating is available near the taproom and in the brewing area, outdoor seating is ample in their patio and playground area which kids will love, the bar area has a gift shop, and the multiple restrooms are a nice touch. Beer wise, they're pretty solid. They tend to specialize in lighter beers like heffes and wheat ales. Those tend to compliment the hot humid coastal weather nicely. Absolutely avoid the sours! Don't expect much service after you order. While super friendly and chatty behind the bar, staff won't go out into the tables to check on you or ask you if you need anything - at least they didn't for our groups. And that's actually alright. They're helpful enough early on that we didn't need for anything. Parking is a little tight but available on the nearby streets as well.

Busy little brewery and we quickly found out why! We tried their Oktoberfest beer and it was really good. Of all the breweries we visited during this trip, they are the only ones selling steins, made in Germany! We had to get one of course, and because I checked in on Yelp, I got 10% off of it! How cool! The people were friendly as well. Another gentleman also bought a stein and ended up hanging out with us for a bit talking about more breweries around the area.

My Uncle recommended stopping here. I did not partake but my dad loved it. The day was a bit on the cooler side but we still sat outside. Plenty of outdoor seating but there is still some tables/chairs indoors too. I couldn't believe how many people brought their little kids! We were actually the only ones who DIDN'T bring children! Seriously, there were probably 10 couples there, each with kiddos. There is a small playground outside. Would never have thought this was a family friendly place but apparently it is! Oh, and one couple had a dog too. Beers were great according to my dad and uncle. I don't drink too much so I didn't want to have a beer and drive home a bit tipsy (cough cough light weight). I'd LOVE to see a non alcoholic beer produced! There were a handful of food options but I couldn't recall any other than pretzels. Bartender was nice. She was the only person we interacted with. Bar kitty was friendly.

We were there for a party. The beer is good, it is a brewery after all. Nice indoor and outdoor seatingI didn't try there food truck. They have a small play structure, but it's tiny and only for kids younger than 5, maybe less. The older kids were bored out of their minds. I wouldn't bring mine again.

Galveston Island Brewing was nice. We came for our friends birthday. I am not a beer drinker so I was happy to see soda and seltzers as an option. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as some food options. They have board games that you can play while you drink and they were hosting a beer and yoga class when we arrived. They gave our friends their first beer free since it was their birthdays.

One of my OG fav breweries , I don't think I've ever been here and not found something on the board for the day that I didn't just LOVE . There are so many seating options here too , you can sit outside in the sun , you can sit under the covering , you can sit inside by the bar , you can sit inside by the brewery equipment OR you can go upstairs where it's 18+ only . My kiddos love the pretzel here and honestly I've tried so many pretzels and I always would pick theirs , it's just the perfect amount of " gooey" in the center that keeps me wanting more . Did I mention that they also have a playground for the kiddos ? Staff are always super laid back and friendly , on Saturdays at 1pm they do FREE tours . Highly recommend stopping by .

Best Beers in Galveston. The bartender was kind and knowledgeable. Normally an IPA guy but the Tiki Wheat was the favorite. It was light and crisp and balanced flavor perfect hot day beer. The he outside is shaded and there's a playground for the kiddos.
