Galveston Bay Brewing

This is a really cool place. It's very large and perfect for getting together with friends or hanging out with family.There's plenty to keep kids busy while parents try the many different brews.The staff was very friendly and attentive. And the beers were great!My husband had the fried chicken sandwich. He's picky so he had them hold all veggies and sauce and instead had them add buffalo sauce. He said it was really good. I had the Baja shrimp tacos. They went a little overboard on the guacamole. It was the only thing I could taste. I'd recommend having sliced avocado on these instead. Then you'd be able to taste the sauce and bacon.They have a huge selection of beer. I like dark beers and usually I'm limited on selection. Not here, I had plenty to choose from. My husband likes lagers and pilsners and he also had several that he got to try.

i've been to GBB at least 5 times. it's a cute spot for the area that kind of fills that void for a brewery like those more near downtown. beer hall vibes with a cute outdoor area on the water. corn hole and a playground for the kids. we go for geeks who drink trivia on wednesday's. 5 star trivia master. they have a ton of in-house made beers, as well as some others - their list is extensive, but unfortunately always out of date. without fail we order one or two different ones and they say "sorry we don't have that", and they say the most current list is posted on the tv screens at the bar, which you can't read from your seats if you're sitting elsewhere in the restaurant. that being said the beers are 3.5-4 star depending on your order.the food is 3 star. my favorite so far has been the shrimp tacos, but you only get two to an order with no sides. they were delicious and flavorful. tonight i had the snapper tacos (grilled) which come 3 to an order. they were bland and when they didn't come out with the advertised "soy ginger dipping sauce" , i asked the server for the sauce and she said they didn't come with any sauce. i had to show her on the menu that they did indeed come with a sauce for her to believe me. not a good look. they were also served on iceberg instead of advertised romaine hearts, and had been sitting for awhile before coming out evidently because every soggy tortilla just bottomed out when i lifted up each taco. our appetizer came out after our mains.on previous visits, the pimento cheese burger i had on a prior visit was too salty and not pimento-ey. they ration fry ketchup like there's a nationwide shortage. shrimp tacos will be my first choice from now on.our waters were chronically empty. every water refill we received was by request. and we were still thirsty.the straw that broke the spouses, i mean, camel's back, is when the busser literally dropped 3 peoples collective plates on my husbands back. there was a "sorry" but no visit from the manager or attempt to comp any items (an app? a beer? something???) based on this fracas.splitting checks has been a consistent headache as well, even though we are clear to the server what couple is on a check together from the get go.if we come back to GBB we will head straight to the bar for drinks only.

This new location is great in every way! They host charity events and really give back to the community. The ordering process was smooth and the staff were so friendly. They had a small stage with live music later in the day on a Saturday evening. The facility is so nice and restrooms clean. They have a small merch area with nice items. I got a wine glass koozie! The seltzers were amazing, especially the mint tea flavor. It tasted just like mint tea! Food was good, I tried the fried pickles, french fries, and cheeseburger.

Service is friendly and the place is super clean. The food to me could have used more salt. But the great part about that you can always add your own salt and pepper. The seltzers have a vinegar taste so be aware. But they do give you the option to do them without liquor which is great. The brews are delicious. Definitely worth the stop family friendly in the daytime. There is a park area outside so you can order and sit on the patio with your family. You can also rent the space which is great since there is an easy of access off of the freeway and not far into town.

Let me just say: the music. Food was classic bar food and on the good end of it too. Great fries. Kids devoured queso and we enjoyed the Baja tacos and shrimp po boys. Sunny Day IPa was light and delicious. Rainy day so we were inside but oh man does it look like a great place to spend a sunny afternoon

Really neat place great ambience. It's a brewing company obviously so you got beer and seltzers. Fried shrimp was good.

We stumbled across this Brewing Haven after taking our rambunctious kids (ages 4 & 7) to the Houston Space Center. We enjoyed GBB more than the Space Center as it was more kid friendly with a playground, connect four game and dock with sea birds. Brittany (Brit) was our server she was excellent even had bandaids when our little one fell . Skyler the brewmaster was knowledgable ....PhD level knowledge with a heart of gold to match. He gave us a tour and we all were so impressed... kids too! This was our 3rd brewing tour too. They have such a clean state of the art facility with barley and yeast from all over the world. We highly recommend Galveston Bay Brewing especially for families who need a nice brew and kids who need to run off their energy. We are vegetarian and got by with the menu. Grilled cheese fries for kids, spinach dip and modifiedCobb salad.. yum.

I have been here several times. It is one of my favorite breweries in the Houston area. They have great beers and great food. They also have live music several times a week.

Just went here for my birthday and ended up with three times the number of people (and kids and dogs) we expected. The service was still amazing despite all the chaos (Kristen and Mark rock!) and everyone had a blast. Food and beers were delicious as usual. Can't recommend this place enough!

We love going to Galveston Bay Brewery and since we live in Kemah, it's just a golf cart hop away! We've been going weekly or more since it opened a little over a year ago. It's such a fun atmosphere with a lively crowd. The food has always been delicious no matter what we get, but both my husband's and my favorite are the delicious Korean Barbecue Wings! They are huge and yummy, but best of all you can get them for a dollar each on Monday nights! Our servers have always been great and the last two times we have had Matthew. He's a great server with a wonderful attitude and personality! He has taken really good care of us and we will look for him next time!
