I have been wanting to try Fyza's since I moved to Houston some years back. I was looking for something different so I went for the gusto and I'm so happy I did. I was greeted by a very nice woman explaining the menu and the options she also mentioned it being compared to Chicago style gyros. I ordered the gyro combo which included steak fries, and a order of hummus that came with warm pita bread it was so fresh and delicious. The ambiance was laid back quaint if you love mediterranean food don't hesitate to pay them a visit.

I was recommended by my mother and sister. I ordered the Beef Kabob platter, which I believe the price went up. The meat was so tender and the rice is so good! The garlic & green sauces are so good. Beware of green sauce, it may be a bit spicy. Definitely my to-go place for Mediterranean food on the northside.**Tip**Call in order before picking up, it takes about 20 mins to make.

Mediterranean food has this ability to nourish your body while simultaneously enchanting your palate. You're telling me this is nourishing a n d delicious? Hook, line, sinker.I've been coming back to this place for years now, since I was a teenager who was first introduced. My food snob cousin insisted this is some of the best gyros around, and I'm thinking to myself, what's a gyro? The first bite was not my last. In fact, I've had what felt like many first bites here. Each time enjoyably consistent as the last, that could easily equate to my very first experience. Do you know how great that is? It's like having the best first date over and over again. I've had the shawarma in the distant past, but my solid go-to will always be the gyro combo platter + rice. The pita is a soft pillowy cloud. The meat tender and flavorful, I've had yet to experience dry meat here. And the veggies, always vibrant and crisp, with that excellent garlic sauce on the side. I love mixing that sauce in with the Lebanese rice and going to town. It makes for such creamy bites. Thanks food snob cousin. Highly recommend!

LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING Per usual when I'm heading to my nail appointment after work, I will look for a restaurant to grab a quick bite to eat in the area. I was pretty darn sure that I wanted a nice clean healthy salad, until I spotted this little gem that serves Mediterranean cuisine. Since I'm a lover of Mediterranean food and don't eat it often, I quickly changed my mind about that salad, lol. The ambiance was quiet on a weekday around 3:00-3:30. I'm not sure what it's like during busy hours or weekends. The customer service is okay. They move pretty fast when taking your orders, and the lady taking my order seemed like she was rushing. However, she was friendly but not in an over-the-top welcoming friendly way, if you get my drift. When you walk in, the counter to place your order is the first thing you see. To the far left of the counter located on the wall, is a large menu of what they offer. After your order is ready, they will call you to the pickup counter to collect your food. If you're dining inside, you find a seat and table where you're comfortable. So basically, you seat yourself. Clueless to how HUGE they are, I ordered two chicken Shawarma sandwiches; HUGE mistake! Looking at the menu on the wall, the photo of the chicken shawarma sandwich appeared to be small in size. Looks can be deceiving, lol. As I collected my items, I looked inside the bag to check it out before leaving the restaurant, and I noticed how extremely huge they were! With that being said, you will get your money's worth! The cost was $9.99 each and you have an option of fries or rice. Because I'm counting my calories at the moment, I opted out of the sides. However, I will definitely be going back to try the rice because it looks absolutely delicious! Furthermore, I enjoyed my chicken shawarma sandwich to the fullest! It was super huge, highly flavorful, and full of chicken! I was fat full once I finished eating it, lol. Tender and juicy chicken was present in each and every glorious delicious bite that I took! I did not need any sides with it. I'm gonna have to fast the whole day before I pay them another visit because my belly is going to need some room to consume all of that food. They serve nice and hearty portions at reasonable prices. You will definitely leave satisfied. Overall, I'm happy with my decision in giving them a try. I'm highly recommending their establishment to anyone who's a lover of Mediterranean cuisine, such as myself! I rated them four stars for their delicious and delectable chicken shawarma. The flavors were off the chain. The dining area isn't the cleanest that I've ever witnessed before, but it's also not the filthiest. It'll do. Customer service is mediocre but not bad. They could use a little improvement in that area. Side Note: The restaurant is located in a large shopping center so there's plenty of parking all around.

Food is good. I like the gyros and sandwiches. I usually get food to go and find it helpful to call ahead. At peak hours they get really busy. Service is fine, but they're not going to have a long conversation with you. It's pretty minimal, but as long as you understand that going in, you'll be fine.
