Recently had dim sum here with a party of 23 for my mom's birthday and it was a hit! The food was delicious and there were plenty of carts going around to choose from. There was also a buffet of select items that you could order from as well as the regular menu. There aren't a ton of vegetarian options on the dim sum menu so just be aware of that. But you can easily order vegetarian options on the regular menu. The restaurant was very busy, but wasn't too hard to flag down our waiter. Would definitely recommend for a fun brunch experience with delicious food!

I'm not sure of the weekends are the busiest but on a Sunday, it was. I got here 20 minutes after their opening time of 10:30am. The parking spaces, before valet, were all filled up. Luckily, I was seated right away once I got in the restaurant. There were plenty of tables but it was getting taken every almost every minute. The staffs were very friendly and really helpful! I wanted a specific food item and they went to get it for me. I didn't have to wait for the carts to come around. I don't think I had one bad dish from what I tried: pretty good food quality and consistency. The siumai was juicy, har gow wrapper was transparent and bouncy, rice noodle was soft and chewy, pork belly skin was crispy and meat with fat ratio was balanced. The cold marinated chicken was not bad, either. Great place for big groups of people and I actually saw someone with their dog inside so I'm guessing you can bring pets?

this was a surprise try with meeting my aunt and uncle in Houston Texas from my dad's side. we still have a long way to go to San Antonio Texas since I'm driving along the way but my mom encouraged my dad to meet with her elder sister and her husband-in-law. Anyways enough about the situation it's more on why I'm reviewing the food and the ambience here. Ambience is your modern Chinese restaurant feel. In regards to the food they did really have a great Peking duck it was moist and not too greasy and unusually it was served with instead of thin mushu wrap they used a pastry similar to saiopo bun which actually complemented with the Peking duck. Something different that the Chinese restaurant here does that up in Chicago Illinois in Chinatown. Their calamari which I'm surprised they had cuz I always associated that more with Italian cooking and I never experienced it at the Chinese restaurants up north in Chicago was unique in taste that I like. For it being Chinese at I felt like cuisine was more Indian with the curry aftertaste the way they prepared or cooked it or seasoned it. I do recommend that it's uniquely different and tasty. Their version of calamari. I also like on the healthy side note this leaves are leafy vegetables with carrot sauce. Very flavorful and served hot. The seafood soup was meh ok. Nothing I found exciting. The crab rangoon egg roll and pot sticker was so so I did not like the grouper despite that I like grouper but they served it with cream of corn which didn't go well reason for those giving a four stars out of five. I like that they have fresh or live seafood which is interesting the most Chinese restaurants. Otherwise pretty good dining and eating service was a bit awkward in regards to delivering cold beverages and not understanding. Their mango custard or plan was actually delicious it was also interesting cuz it was in the form of a fish. The mango was not overpowering and the custard was not too thick another reason for 4 stars

Fung's Kitchen is great for the authentic dim sum experience without the drive to Bellaire Chinatown or Katy Asiatown. Note: this review is for weekend dim sum service. There is a lot of space for seating and the carts come by often during weekend service. During busy times, there may be a 15-30 minute wait. There are some dishes they do really well, like the Siu Mai, and others left a bit to be desired. I've come here a few times, and the food is always good. There is a very large parking lot, but they have a very odd valet situation. The valet is not located by the front doors, but rather in one of the aisles that kind of awkwardly blocks traffic. In summary, Fung's Kitchen is a solid option to get your dim sum fix, and the few drawbacks sometimes outweigh making the drive all the way out to/past Beltway 8.

I have been to so many dim sun places in different states and countries. I have to say their dim sun is amazing!!! The best in the United States. The service is great, the food is amazing! They definitely deserve the five star reviews! I love their baked golden egg yolk lava buns. It's the best in the world, highly recommend! All other dishes are good as well, just can't name them all.

I have always thought this is a cool, exterior restaurant when driving by. Little did I know, it's been around for a long long time but shut down for about 2 years due to a fire. Not sure how it was prior pandemic but the interior is clean, modern, yet still keep that OG Asian style vibe restaurant. By the way, they offer valet but you don't have to. Find any parking spaces open and park your car! If you do decide to valet, I heard it's only $3 (plus tip).In order to get check in, you must go to the self-serve kiosk by the front desk. It's passed the wall of alcohol so don't be afraid to walk in and pass the front foyer! Once your table is ready, you will get a text message and you walk back to the front desk, towards the end (a step further than where the kiosk is) and let the person know.I came here strictly for their push-cart Cantonese style dim sum but intrigue to dine-in for lunch/dinner. I'm glad I came here on CNY. The food are delicious and comparable to Northeast dim sum that I grew up eating! It taste healthier. I can taste the quality, especially in seafood - not as oily and salty as typical Chinese dim sum restaurants. If you ever had dim sum in Canada, you will taste the difference - that healthier taste, made with better ingredients. I do wish they had the crab claw or baby clams with black bean sauce at the standup station. Har gow, shu mai, shu mai with shrimp only, shrimp rice roll with sweet soy sauce, steamed cha sui bao, chicken feet, and pork (usually not my favorite) were all delicious. Coconut bunny jelly and tofu dessert are great choices to end dim sum on a semi-sweet note.If anyone bothers to visit me here in Houston, I'll be taking my family and friends here for dim sum. With that said, it is quite expensive and you don't know the prices till your bill comes. For two people, it's about $85 (excluding tip) and that's me not over-ordering like usual.

Beautifully remodeled and updated restaurant. We came here for my birthday celebration as the one item on my food bucket list is their live king crab. Fung's food has always been very good and we usually come here for dim sum. I have always mentioned that one day I would like to have one of those live king crabs in their tanks. The day finally came and we were not disappointed. Our waiter Rod was so friendly and helpful. He insisted on us taking plenty of pictures of my special moment. We started off with a crab meat and sweet corn soup, followed by the beef chow fun (stir fried beef amd wide rice noodles), beef with gai lan (chinese broccoli) and a sizzling black bean chicken. Then came the king crab dishes. At our server's recommendation, we had the one 8.5lb crab cooked 3 ways (steamed garlic, butter black pepper and fried rice).Every single dish was delicious. But holy smokes, the king crab.... it most definitely lived up to the sky high expectations. This may be a once in a lifetime or once in a major milestone experience but definitely a most memorable and cherished one. The staff capped off the dinner by giving me a mango pudding (in the shape of a piggy), complete with birthday candle and song. This was definitely a highlight and am so very blessed to be able to have such a wonderful culinary experience here.

My family has been coming here for years around Christmas time to celebrate. Every time they've been exceptional but this particular past Christmas was beyond phenomenal and really stood out for the tremendous service and options. A king crab meal fit for a king anyone? Atmosphere: Modern style Chinese restaurant, complete with nice decor. However, if you are throwing a party or a private event, there is a much fancier area complete with glass and jade decor that really gives a much more higher end type of vibe. Food: My last visit my family got the full king crab service. Beyond delectable and quite the experience. All dishes come out with a helping of crab cooked in different ways. My favorite being the King Crab Fried rice, followed up by the garlic glazed legs. I was amazed with how many ways a king crab can be served in such different dishes but all from the same service.Service: Stated above, my last service for King Crab was beyond amazing. Yvonne, our server really went above and beyond to make sure my family was attended too. She brought out the King Crab and even let the family take pictures and hold it. Not just for comical reasons but also to weigh the crab and make sure we were happy with our choice. Fung's isn't just great for a celebration, but also any reason to get great chinese food. The menu is large but every dish I've had, I've been happy with and would gladly return again.
