Fujiya Japanese Restaurant

Been here about three times. Definitely worth coming to this little gem in West Kendall.Ambiance:The restaurant is a bit dated with carpet, but we always end up here for good sushi. At times we go to the restaurant and we are the only ones there and then all of a sudden, the restaurant is packed.Service:Jenny, has been our waitress for the last two visits. She is amazing and gives great sushi recommendations. Always comes by our table to ensure we have enough water without asking. Food:The sushi here is really good. I've tried the Godzilla roll, spicy crunch tuna roll, crunchy spicy salmon roll, and eel fashion roll. All great in my opinion. Would recommend this sushi spot to anyone.

Mildly disappointed by the sushi at this location. Ordered the new bagel roll and found the overall flavor to be lacking as well as the salmon. The location was intimate and they seemed to have a conversation pit in the back corner which was really cool and interesting. However my roll left much to be desired and I wouldn't necessarily recommend them based off the sushi alone but staff was nice and our order was prepared quickly.

We tried Fujiya Japanese restaurant with my family, and we had an exceptional experience, thanks to our incredible server, Leo. From the moment we walked in, he treated us as if we were guests in his own home. Leo was fast, attentive, and answered all of our questions. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. We were seated in a more private part of the restaurant, which made it even more comfortable for our family. The sushi rolls were perfect, the prices were great, and my daughter loved her meal too. We can't wait to return! But what made our experience special was Leo! He is the absolute best!

Of course I can back, and of course the food was just as good. I wanted mostly sashimi, but my boyfriend wanted a roll so we upgraded the Fuji Small. The fish was ice cold and fresh, and the roll was delicious as always. Unfortunately I can't remember which roll we got - just that it had shrimp tempura. As always, service was excellent and ever so patient with all the questions I end up asking. 10/10 still haven't had a bad experience here.

First time ordering sushi from here. Very easy to order online and the menu was very descriptive. The text messaging notifications were kinda slow. The food was to be ready for pick up in 15-30 mins but we were still expecting a text when the food was ready, having waited 30 mins we picked up our food and it was waiting for us, we got the text message that our food was ready when we were already on our way back home. The overall presentation was typical of sushi. The menu was vast and lots to choose from. I honestly didn't find anything that stood out. The sushi rolls were good overall but not something to run back to. Maybe trying different rolls we will feel differently, it is hard to find local restaurants that are worth returning to without driving towards Miami Beach.

Friendly service and really good sushi. If lived closer I definitely would visit more often.

This sushi spot in Kendall will transport you to Japan once you walk in. Small and quaint, we came here to grub after pickleball at a nearby park on the fourth of July. We were searching for spot open during the holiday and after a quick Yelp search and call, we got confirmation they were open. Their menu is pretty extensive and we came during lunch, which they have great lunch deals and specials. I ended up getting the Sashimi Combo and it was pretty good. Of course with any sashimi combo, it always feels small in comparison to other deals so I would recommend opting for the other options for lunch over this one. I just wanted to get an option with less carbs but ended up eating the same about of carbs as the other combos since this came with a side of rice that I couldn't let go to waste (okay, it was also my lack of willpower.)If you know me, you know I am on an endless quest for Dynamite Appetizer as good as my long gone favorite spot in Pines. Well, this place comes pretty damn close. Their dynamite appetizer is a good size with baked seafood and dynamite mix on top of a bed of rice. The taste isn't exactly what I was looking for but still very good! This is heavy on the spicy mayo, so if you have an intolerance for that, I'd skip this. But if not, then I recommend! Next visit, I have to try their specialty rolls. My friend got one and it looked so goooood. The service was great with our server coming to check on us every so often and refilling our waters as they emptied.

I absolutely love their rolls! They have such a large menu with food and sushi, that everyone can find something! The service is quick and the servers are helpful. The place is very small so it's good for takeout or a small intimate dinner date. I have gone back multiple times since I discovered the place!

The food here was great! The sushi rolls are to die for ommmmgggg. They are big rolls with lots of flavors and there are so many to choose from. The service there is good, sometimes different waiters come up to your table and help out depending on how packed it is. It's a small mom and pops joint the vibes are nice. Definitely recommend!

We were craving for some Japanese food because of the 100 F soggy heat today. Went to Sushi Maki at SW 104 St and 152 Ave in Kendall, to order to go, those guys are rude and uptight. Walked out and went for the first time to Fujiya, jackpot! Food is fresh, service attentive, prices really fair, wine bottle, cold as heaven, for $ 25. Will be back!
