Found most stalls had the same exact thing. Seemed to be very pricey little to rich for my blood. I can go to the grocery store and get the same stuff I bought for a lot cheaper

Mom & pop. Period.Bring your gloves and your clippers. The fruits and vegetables here are as fresh as it gets. Fruits N Such isn't certified 'organic,' but they are as close as it gets. (I used to own a nursery, and certified organic isn't all it's cracked up to be.) Talk to them about their practices for pest control, fertilizer and keeping the pH in the soil where it needs to be to grow succulent tomatoes, cukes, peppers, squash and peaches -- the list goes on.This place is my farm. Period. The folks who run it also eat from it. That's good enough for me. Follow them on Facebook for daily updates.

This isn't a big corporate operation. It's not like HEB where you swing by to pick up a cucumber and peaches on your way home from work. The odds are they'll be closed. Operating hours depend on what's ready to harvest so you have to visit the Facebook page to check before making the drive down. Other than that this place is utterly charming. There are lots of gorgeous chickens and a big burly dog. Some rabbits in a pen and little whimsical fairies and gnomes hidden all over. We came for blackberries to make pie. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The lady who runs the place is super sweet (didn't catch her name) and I can't say for sure, but it really seems like picking your own food makes it taste better.

Loved it. A little bit expensive but it was so worthy it. Today was actually my first time and the owners were very helpful on any questions I had. Btw they do have the sweetest peaches no joke. Do come early to get the first dibs on veggies and fruits you won't regret coming.

We love the Orchard!! We have been many times, and love it each time. This week (Spring Break) they had "Kidding around with baby goats:" 11 Nigerian Dwarf Goats that were 1-2 weeks old, bunnies, and chickens! They have a playground, and a pop up shop filled with assortments of tomato plants and herbs, homemade goat milk soap, freshies, cowboy candy & jam for sale! All of these products are handmade from ingredients found at the farm! We had the best tour guide for the hayride, Mr. Wilson. Mrs. Renee was in the pen with the goats, and letting a few lucky people bottle feed 2 babies. Melinda was helpful and nice in the pop up shop tent. Nothing was ready to be harvested yet, but we will be back in a few weeks for blueberries.

April 24, 2023I've lived in Galveston 10+ years and I've finally made it out here Came by for fresh blueberries, herbs and mints. Met one of the owners, Renee Hillman who opened this farm to the public in 2006; sweet lady. The Hillman family are well known in these parts from farms to everything fish/marine life. This farm is beautiful and no doubt, lots of work; I'm very appreciative to them. Today, I enjoyed picking blueberries, herbs and various mints I didn't know existed but am so excited to taste. I'll definitely be a regular from now on. Support farmers. But local.
