Fredy & Tony's Restaurant

Update: My friends that recommended it to me convinced me to go back and explain to the owner. He was nice enough to rectify it with me and I left a happy customer. I was very disappointed because I really like this restaurant but I found this bug in a spoonful of my food as I was eating. Ruined my entire meal and evening. I was 3/4 way done so I can't help but think about how many I may have eaten! The food is good so that's why I gave them the extra star but this will definitely keep me from ever visiting again.

Came here to get my fix of some delicious authentic Puerto Rican food. My friend recommended this being the closest spot to me since I recently moved to Philadelphia. To just as amazing as he said it was, I thoroughly enjoyed the pernil, and I've gotta say the rice and beans were definitely spot on. I will be coming back and hope this review doesn't flood the place so I can still get a quick seat and enjoy the food I cherish!

My wife was telling me a story about how good the food is here so we decided to get lunch from here one day. I have never had Puerto Rican food before so I had no idea what to expect. Well now after the first meal I cant get enough! I live about an hour away yet we drive down just to get food from Freddy and Tony's because nothing comes even remotely close to how good the food is from here! I definitely recommend eating here if you get the opportunity it is well worth it and you wont be disappointed! I recommend getting extra for later because if your anything like I am you'll be sitting watching tv later and wishing you had leftovers from earlier! LOL

Great Puerto-Rican food! Now, I know I can get my fix until my mom comes to visit. Beware that there is another Freddy & Tony's around the corner on 201 Allegheny but the name is spelled differently. I only know this because after tasting the alcappurrias here (on the way to Cousin's), I wanted to go back and get more. We pulled out the Yelp app which took us to the other place. We were so confused when we pulled up, haha. This is on the corner in a not so nice, neighborhood, but food is very inexpensive and delicious. We had a roasted chicken (they were out of pernil), boiled yucca, alcapurrias (4), and arroz con gandules. Everything was delicious! The rice had pork in it, too, which was a bonus. I think everything came out to under $30 and was plenty of food for a family of four. We have picked up take-out several times since. They are cash only, so be prepared!

The first time that I went and ordered rice and beans and saw salchichas in it I knew I was getting the food I grew up on. This was YEARS ago and every time I'm down North I usually end up getting something to eat even if it's just alcapurria. The food is delicious, the staff is nice and the prices are reasonable. I always get my food to go but one day when this coronavirus mess is over I'm going to eat in.

Yummmyyyy. I ate half of my meal as I was standing waiting for the rest to be done! Very good and fresh. I love! Great customer service too.

Love it I drive 45min to get there I come once a month love all the food nice hot and fresh I will recommend this place to all my friends and family.

My husband ordered over the phone which was 3 Pastellios de carne of which the masa was hard and flavorless y un mofongo con cardo pero no fue así me dieron mofongo plain, any way at the end I asked for Malta India and was given Goya, sad to say I would not order over the phone as they do not follow instructions and when I went to pickup my order it was the same lady who took my husbands order who looked mean, over worked and didn't seem like she wanted to be there, overall we went home unhappy with the service the lady provided, I do tip but she did not deserve it this time at all, and too add on top of that we moved from the area 4 years ago and thought it'll be a bit better but I was wrong, I should've checked my food but if you know what your doing and do what the customer ask then customers would not have to go through this issue, Fred and Tony's need to get there staff in shape/together and do things correctly, I rather come during the afternoon rather the evening like we did today, order was placed around 7:15-7:20pm.

Great food before the Covid-19!!! I haven't been their ever since the Covid-19 which was close for awhile but I heard now they have window service but not open to go inside the business you order for pickup or come by and Order outside the window from their business. I Have to drop by and check it out and see if they still cook good as they use to before the Covid-19 came in the picture...
