The baked chicken is outstanding. It's moist, delicious and packed full of flavor. The rice and beans is good and the potato ball with meat is good as well. Service was quick and the lady behind the counter was patient and very polite which is good because the entire menu is in Spanish. I've only gotten takeout and the ordering area is kind of small and I can see it getting crowded fast. My only negative is the side of gravy I received wasn't gravy at all more like a side of I don't even know what. Very disappointing.

Went to F&T and was somewhat underwhelmed. One thing that was undeniably delicious and flavorful was the pasteles de guineo. Hands down one of the best I've ever had. The rice's flavor was pretty good too considering it wasn't the typical short grain PR rice. This was the reason for my 3 stars. The pernil on the other hand was subpar. The cuerito was soft and the pork was dry and stringy. I was looking forward to this..smh. The alcapurrias de yucca were good according to my foodie mates. The empanadas/pastelillos were not fresh and although the dough seemed homemade, it was cold and hard.Everything else was just ok.On a positive note, the staff was very nice and accommodating but appeared overwhelmed. I came in on a whim from New Jersey so I had to bring my dog before his groomer appt and they allowed me to keep him there while we dined.

The service isn't the greatest but I didn't come here for that nor did I expect it to be. The food on the other hand was excellent. Their pastelillos and pork shoulder combo was really worth it!

First time eating authentic Puerto Rican food since moving to Philly and it did the trick. I ordered for a group of 6 and we got Enough food to feed like 10. I am grateful that they were able to take such a big order about 30 mins before closing but they took care of me. The food was very good, the people in there were nice and were up front about things that they were out of stock since it was so late.Rellenos de papa, arroz con gandules, mofongo, carne guisada, alcapurrias, all delicious. Definitely recommend this place as prices are good and support local business!

On a busy night I decided to stop here to take food home for dinner. I didn't care what time of day it was because I assumed the food here was going to be great. I say this because when I got home I was very disappointed with what was in the bag.I ordered two roast pork platters with rice and beans along with a side of ripe plantains. I also ordered the rotisserie chicken with rice and beans and a side of plantains and one Alcapurria. ToMake a long story short just check your order before leaving. Don't drive all the way home to find your food is sub par.

I've been going to Freddy and Tony's for many years and it never disappoints! We had enough food for 7 people and made another meal for four with the leftovers for about $75 The whole roasted chicken had a nicely browned skin, was juicy and flavorful. The pork was amazing! So flavorful and moist with both white and dark meat. The flavor is sooo good! The yellow rice and beans were yummy. The meal also came with tostones. We added 12 chicken pastilles too. We reheated both because they were a little soggy from time traveling. They reheated nicely. They got a little crispy without drying out. I would highly recommend for good Puerto Rican food!

The area itself isn't that great & finding parking at times can be a challenge.. I was craving Freddy & Tony's last time I was there the food was awesome. This time around I was disappointed. The relleno de papa has less then a tsp of ground beef in mine & MAYBE 2 tsp in my husbands. The gravy was okay.. my pastelillo she'll was too doughy for my liking but the filling was a good amount of beef. It's just not the same but then again are many places are?!

Food is a bit bland but they have great appetizers. THEY ARE SKIMPY WITH THE FOOD (Take out platters ) that's why they don't allow u to eat or open ur platter in the restaurant because they know people will complain . I ordered a steak platter that was $14 and I only received 2 small pieces of steak full with onions . And I scoop of rice which is insane . They also refry te appetizers if they don't sell the day before .

Good food horrible service. Gave me the wrong order, overcharged and refused to reasonably compensate. The servers response: "My bad". Return it in it's totality and we will replace it". I came from a 1/2 hour away, that's an hour travel time! Just no respect or courtesy.
