We came here a couple of years ago the night before we got on a cruise ship and loved it. So we decided to do it again. Staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is quaint and lovely inside and also has outdoor seating. I can never eat dessert whole there so get it to go. Calamari and bruschetta are great appetizers. My son loves their fettuccine with cream sauces and grilled chicken. My Milano Parpadlle was delicious! Nice to enjoy a second time.

Fratelli Milano is the family owned and operated Italian restaurant of twin Chefs Roberto and Emanuele Bearzi. Fratelli is Italian for brothers. Fatelli Milano opened in 2006. One brother is the chef, the other the pastry chef. The brothers wanted to create a restaurant that recreated the regional Italian dishes they first experienced in their mother's Milanese kitchen. They also opened Vista in Upper Buena Vista but that restaurant has since closed. Fratelli Milano appeared on the chef Michelle Bernstein hosted PBS show Check, Please! South Florida. After visiting nearby Vizcaya, an Italian Renaissance historic mansion, the Italian cuisine at Fratelli Milano was the perfect choice for lunch. Parking is not easy or inexpensive but this restaurant is well worth seeking out and they do offer valet service. My friend had wanted to visit it for years and I love artisan Italian food so I was more than amenable to coming. After a not nice walk through the depressed end of west Flagler street, arriving at the restaurant was like finding an oasis of sophistication. Fatelli offers tables on the sidewalk out front and in the nicely appointed dining room where we chose to sit. The restaurant is casual but elegant. It was designed to make people feel as if they are being welcomed into the Fratelli home. Workers in the city in suits can feel as equally comfortable as cruise ship passengers in shorts and flip flops. You will find a cross section of locals and tourists. By the time we arrived I was quite hungry and pleased that we didn't have a wait for a late weekday lunch.I started my meal with the most delicious and refreshing glass of Moscato which paired perfectly with the rich pasta dish to come. They brought us a fresh basket of bread served with their sundried tomato spread. All of the food is made in house including pastry, pasta, and bread which is made at 4 AM every morning. The menu is filled with a carefully curated selection of pizza, salads, and pasta. For lunch I ordered the pasta special of the day, Penne Al Granchio E Vodka, made with penne pasta, Alaska blue crab meat, cherry tomatoes, asparagus tips, and red pepper flakes, in a mild spicy pink vodka sauce. It was a symphony of flavors. I told myself I was only going to eat half but I couldn't help but finish the entire bowl because it was that good. Our lovely server Yauheniya from Belarus talked us into dessert but it wasn't very difficult. She brought us two espresso's served with a delightful piece of chocolate studied biscotti. Fatelli's is famous for their giant chocolate chip and walnut cookies and panna cotta but we instead shared a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. The presentation is always on point here. Not only is the food delicious but it is also beautifully and artfully presented. 10/10! For the quality of food I also found Fratelli to be a good value for the money. For being located in downtown Miami I actually expected the prices to be higher. During our meal we were checked on several times by staff including the owner who took the time to chat with us. You couldn't ask for better service. If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience in downtown Miami where you will be treated like family, this is it. Thank you Mary Ann for introducing me to this gem.

Excellent authentic Italian restaurant! The family is from Milan and the restaurant is named after the two brothers who are twins and chefs. The 3rd owner is the delightful Fiorella from Costa Rica. They have been working hard to provide the very best quality food for 17 years now. The staff start at 4:00 am every day making the bread, the pasta and the pastries by hand. You can see the attention to detail in everything they do. I came here today with a friend after visiting Viscaya. It was close by. I've been wanting to come here for years after hearing Miami Elites speak highly of Fratelli Milano on talk threads. It was everything they said and more. The parking was difficult but Fratelli Milano is well worth the visit. The fettuccine was fresh and light not heavy like most homemade pasta. The wine with tomato sauce was heavenly. They brought me extra lemon and it really helped bring out the brightness of the seafood. The dish had shrimp, calamari, scallops, and mussels. Angels were singing over my head as I was eating. I had planned to only eat half because the plate was large but it was too good to eat leftover. The espresso with biscotti was the perfect finish. They should sell their biscotti! They are better than my mother's. The biscotti is neither too hard nor too soft and has lots of tiny chocolate chips. We split the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. This too was the best you could ever expect. Thank you to the staff for such a memorable experience. I plan to visit again soon to try more dishes.

I love this downtown Italian spot as it's mouthwatering and very close to my building. Soya & Pomodoro is usually my go to spot but I enjoy stopping by Fratelli to mix it up and still get a good meal. They have a great happy hour that usually features $7 sangrias and glasses of wine. I have to say I am a huge fan of the meatballs and the pastas that I have ordered. I've always been top-notch. The service appeared to be standard, and is great to have something so close to where I live. The last time I went, I did try to order sangria but unfortunately, they said they were out. As a former bartender, I know it takes no more than a couple minutes to make a sangria so it is a little surprising that they did not offer to make it; permitting a short wait time. I enjoy the music and the old-school Italian feel of the decor. The restaurant appears to be very clean and I like the option of grabbing a dessert to go for a treat later on. This was a great dinner and I would be pleased to return another day.

Fratelli Milano is a small Italian restaurant in Miami that delivers on its promise of fresh, in-house made pasta. Every pasta dish we tried, from the fettuccine Alfredo to the short rib ravioli with burrata and the pear-filled pasta, was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, making for a memorable dining experience. We also enjoyed the bruschetta, which featured fresh tomatoes and garlic, and it was a fantastic starter. While we did sample the desserts, and they were said to be made in-house that morning, they were just average. However, we did see someone order the crème brûlée, and watching it being flambéed at the table was a cool touch. The service at Fratelli Milano was great, adding to the overall positive experience. The meal felt very authentic, with a lot of attention to detail. We really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a genuine Italian meal in Miami.

OMG their seafood pasta (fettuccine allo scoglio) is to die for! Absolutely the best seafood pasta I've ever tried. Even better than most high-end Italian restaurants. During my business trip in Miami, I randomly went into this restaurant near my downtown hotel. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, thinking it was just a small neighborhood Italian place. However, the even bread was delicious, and they claimed to make their own pasta - it turned out to be incredibly tasty. The servers were extremely nice too. Highly recommend!!

This has to be one of my favorite, if not my favorite, Italian restaurants in Miami. I honestly can't believe I haven't reviewed it before. Now having been to Italy, I can appreciate how much of a hidden gem in Downtown Miami this truly is. This first time I went to Fratelli Milano was because some of my coworkers were raving about how good it was, so I had to try it for myself. There is a really convenient garage across the street from the restaurant -- last time it was about $15.The service is very good and fast (just like in Italy). The food is full of flavor and you can tell they make their pasta themselves. I had the funghi pasta and it was soooo good! Overall, very good Italian restaurant in Miami -- truly one of my faves.

Excellent food and service here. We ordered the short rib ravioli, pear, and walnut salad and a basil pizza for the table, and all were very good. The atmosphere is fancy/casual, and there are plenty of families there, along with just people out on the town. The bread with the tomato olive oil dip that the waiter brought out for us while we waited for our order was quite possibly the highlight of the night, they should bottle it and sell it, it's that good!
