Been wanting to try this place for a while now, and glad I did! It's hard to find parking in the area and the parking beside the building is good for about 4 cars. No real inside dining the service was fast and the ambience definitely gave neighborhood vibes. The beef patty was very delicious stuffed in the coco bread. My brown stew chicken with rice and beans and cabbage was superb!!

Visiting atl after spending a month in Jamaica. This is not even close to authentic jamaican food. Jerk chicken bland and not even chopped up - awful. Rice and peas were a minimum 3 days old with barely any peas. Collard greens tasted like they came straight out of the can. Zero seasoning! Miserable cashier, which honestly would have been fine, but the food was so terrible!

The last time I came here was 10 years ago. I was in town again and happy to see this place survived the pandemic. I stopped by about 30 min before closing and ordered an oxtail plate and a beef pattie. The pattie was delicious, they weren't stingy with the meat! Perfect ratio. The oxtail plate was delicious too! So glad I came back. I appreciate the good customer service too! God bless!

I'm big on Customer Service! I just read some of the other reviews and it varies between saying that the cashier is very nice to saying that they are rude as hell. My experience spans over about a six or seven year period. The cashier lady is rude as sh*t but I don't really think she can help it. I am referring to the older Jamaican lady. Her tone is always that of, "what you want". I know part of it is cultural and I just accept it. Even though she wears a mask (2020 - present 2022), you can always see her furrowed brow and disgruntled disposition sparkling through. I really can't make this up. I used to be a regular in terms of a couple times a week and I remember actually seeing her smile back in 2015, the one and only time. She really reminds you of a scene from one of those Instagram skits of service at Jamaican restaurants. You're probably asking, well why did you keep going there if you didn't like the service? I really like stopping in and grabbing patties and it was pretty decent and convenient in the Edgewood Ave area. Patties are great and plantains are hit or miss. Sometimes they're really plump, juicy and sweet and other times they are dried out. I posted a picture of some dried out plantains below. After mentioning it to her at the register she just looked at me as if oh well you paid for them so they're yours. No effort was made to replace them. I can't really vouch for the other food. I frequent Jamaican restaurants but I only go to certain ones for certain things. This is not my full meal spot so I'm unable to state whether it's delish or not. I'm sure it's probably not bad. All in all, decent/good food and unpleasant service.

Had the jerk chicken, which was amazing. The fried plantain was good, but a bit sweet compared to the ones I've had in Africa. The beef pastry was no good, it had the consistency of refried beans inside and was not crispy. I would definitely come back.Except if you're a single girl or have children, I would definitely recommend not going to this area. It was the middle of the day and there were drunk women doing lewd things in the middle of the street, trash in the street, and a bunch of shady looking characters. More than just homeless.

Visited this hole in the wall while visiting the distillery down the street. The cashier was very friendly in helping me figure out what I should probably get.My buddy got a sorrel drink and curry chicken platter. My buddy let me try his sorrel drink. It was quite good. I also got to try the chicken. Super good and almost made me regret my decision.I got the jerk chicken sandwich and a curry chicken patty, and a side of sweet plantains. I thought the sandwich was decent, but a little dry. The patty's curry chicken wasn't as flavorful as my buddy's platter. Plantains were as good as one would expect.I washed it all down with a Jamaican Pineapple Ginger soda. Super good flavor combination I had never had before.I wouldn't hesitate coming back here.

Fast, friendly, tasty! We tried the jerk chicken and the plantains. The owner asked if it was our first visit, which it was, and thanked us for trying their food.

First time visiting Foxx. I had the curry goat dinner with the rice and beans and cabbage. I've been looking for authentic Jamaican food since I left Jamaican. I loooove spicy food so that's the only reason I gave it three stars. It wasn't spicy. It's also two blocks within walking distance from the MLK Center. The place is small but we were blessed to find a seat to dine in.

OG standby that dishes home style curry's. Hadn't been there in years, but passed by accident and glad to see they've still in business.
