Founding Farmers First Bake Cafe & Creamery

Last time their latte was very good, but this time not so much. It kinda tasted watered down. Yet the chocolate danish, though a bit expensive, is very good. I also bought a half loaf of cranberry bread--it's good too. We asked the cashier/server if we could have the bread sliced--you would think this is a pretty standard request for a cafe/bakery, but the server was very reluctant as if it's a huge favor to do for us, which I find odd and unprofessional. She eventually agreed to do so, but I just wish there were some more accommodating attitude to customers.

Attractive space in this King of Prussia mall location, is true even on a rain soaked Friday morning. Strong Java is likewise the case with obviously well curated and roasted beans to choose among. I bought a half dozen (vanilla, maple, strawberry & cream, banana foster) for a king's ransom, thinking I would be rewarded with excellence in donut baking skills. Well, not quite. Apparently, baked the day before, each was semi stale on first bite. There was little to distinguish between the vanilla and maple variants in flavor, and both textures were past their prime, drying and lacking freshness. The philo layered banana and strawberry pastries had a decent flavor with pleasant light creams, but the delicate layers were hardening and the bite was tougher than it should have been. Rather than cleaving smoothly, my teeth caused the structure to collapse. Disappointing. Flavor without proper texture is less than half satisfying. It teases of possibilities, but delivers only empty promises.

My first fall in love with Founding Farmers was in D.C. I think it was their flagship. The baked whole head of cauliflower and drinks with absinthe had me and my di in companion singing all the way home at midnight. Well had. Even looking forward to a chorus, but regret to say this King of Prussia experience is way out of tune. In fact a sour note. Maybe an F flat.The food photographed well but tasted bland and arrived cold.The farmer's breakfast was a kind of build your own affair. I chose eggs, sausage, hash browns and biscuit. I don't know what the heck the sausage was really made of...but I chewed and chewed a portion that just would NOT give in to the cause and I had to spit it out in front of my dining companion. I have not ever eaten a sausage that was as stubborn before. And there was no taste that allured me enough to attempt to break its will.The eggs arrived all fluffed up but cold from edge to center. And the biscuit looked like it had arrived from some one elses plate on to mine backstage. I only ate the hash browns fully because I was hungry and desperate.I gave an additional star only because they rectified a sitiuation with a credit card. but even doing so was laborious and tedious with odd customer service infrastructure.The whole experience made me feel like I would have been at a waffle house if it weren't for the expensive bill and the decor. Probably would have been better food.I don't have anything good to say about the experience. Maybe next time I'll take the drive to the D.C. one.

Slow service for only people here. Staff apologized. Strong coffee. Nice place in a nice area. Easy parking on off time of day. Place was clean.

I don't know why the reviews for this place are so low! Most, if not all, baked goods are made in house. Their everything bagel is one of the best I've ever had! Yes, the food comes out a bit slow, but the breakfast food items are made to order. We also got their Jefferson donuts, which are filled croissant donuts. These are so unique and taste amazing. My only request would be the option to choose how you want your eggs cooked. Overall a great spot for takeout or a quick breakfast!

Warning, I was so wrapped up in my company and the delicious food that I lacked photos in this trip. I meet a few friends for dinner the other night. I made a reservation on Open Table. I LOVE being able to make a reservation. So major bonus points for that service. When we arrived we were seated within our reservation time. Our waiting Ryan, who had only been there a week was fantastic. He hustled for sure. My meal was great. I ordered the spatchcock chicken. It was seasoned nicely and it was not dry. The sauce it was placed on had great flavor! It was nice and hot as well. My friends both had burgers and they devoured them. My brother raves about the pot roast which he had DoorDash Ed earlier in the week. I loved all the small details, from the dates and numbers on their silverware, to their little creamer for coffee that came in a small silver carton. Their desserts were amazing, especially the peanut butter pie! There will be another visit back.

I came here to grab something quick. I ordered a large iced chai latte with a shot of espresso and a plain bagel with bacon jalapeño spread. I received a SMALL HOT chai. I'm confused about what was so hard to understand between a hot and cold drink... She literally repeated it to me yet handed over the wrong thing. Secondly, she wasn't wearing gloves or sanitizing her hands which honestly disgusted me. How are you touching everything around you and then making my bagel... Overall, I wouldn't come back here or recommend them since the barista couldn't follow basic orders.

We've dined here in-person once and also tried their delivery. During our visit for dinner, everything impressed us, though the bolognese was slightly saltier than preferred. The service was commendable; noticing I was seated in direct sunlight, the server kindly offered a different spot. The place can get quite busy. We've also sampled their breakfast through delivery, which was satisfying. However, the coffee could use some improvement; it was just adequate

After finding out that the wait for brunch at the restaurant upstairs was an hour, my girlfriend and I ended up at seats at this Cafe on the first floor for breakfast. The cafe has bar seats that were staffed by a wonderful waitress. This turned out to be great decision. Instead of the expensive brunch buffet upstairs we had a reasonably priced 5 star breakfast that left us completely stuffed.We decided to share our orders. I ordered the stuffed french toast with bacon. She ordered the chicken and waffles, which comes with eggs. Her chicken was perfectly fried and seasoned and juicy. We just wanted a bigger piece. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the waffles were good. My bacon was perfectly cooked as well. My stuffed french toast was the standout star. The best french toast I've ever tasted. I think it was brioche and stuffed with a vanilla cream. It was soooo good. We devoured it and I wanted to lick up every bit of cream that had dripped on to my plate.Do yourself a favor and eat breakfast here as opposed to waiting in line at the restaurant above it.

Breakfast burrito tasted like it had been sitting around a while and reheated. Also tasted way more burrito than filling. Staff barely acknowledged customers-definitely hated his job or was just not feeling friendly that day. Outside seating was decently clean.
