Hubby and I along with his brother stopped in for an afternoon iced coffee.I ordered a 16 oz honey iced coffee to share with hubby. We both enjoyed it. Not too sweet, good amount of ice, mild honey flavor.Fast and friendly service. The bathrooms were clean.Lots of WFH people hanging out in there. I liked the chill, laidback vibe of Foster Street Coffee. We would definitely stop in again.

Stopped in Foster Street Coffee after the Durham Farmers Market on a Saturday morning. While it was busy, they got my coffee out quickly. It seemed like a great spot to catch up on some work and grab a delicious coffee. They had multiple fun flavored lattes if you are into that kind of thing.

Situated right by the Durham farmer's market, Foster Street is ideal for a pick-me-up before spending a morning wandering through vendor's stalls (or for a study spot if you come in on a quieter weekday.) I've found the more uniquely flavored drinks to be hit-or-miss, but they make a reliable iced vanilla latte. A special highlight is the service-- the baristas actually hand-deliver your drink to you!! Worth a stop if you're in the area.

Atmosphere: Foster Street Coffee is a popular spot among Duke students and Durhamites. Conveniently located in Downtown Durham next to the Food Hall, it's ideal for a quick coffee run or study session. Their interior is bright and clean. Keep in mind that it can be difficult to find a seat especially during the academic school year. Their wifi can also get pretty slow during busier hours. Service: Our barista was kind, and our drinks were made quickly. Food: We ordered their Cold Brew and Hot Toffee Nut Latte. We can confidently say that this was the worst cold brew we've ever had. It was bitter and had no complexity. When we first tried it, our immediate thoughts were "burnt," "tastes like medicine," and "is this really their cold brew??" The Toffee Nut Latte had potential, but it was overpowered by the syrup and hardly had notes of coffee. Overall: We were excited to give Foster Street Coffee a try due to their aesthetically pleasing interior and hype from friends. However, we were extremely disappointed by their drinks. Between their slower wifi, limited seating, and unpalatable drinks, it is unlikely that we'll find ourselves returning.

If you can find a seat, you're lucky! If not, there are seats outside! The ladies inside are super friendly and they don't skimp on the almond milk! Yay! go simple! Single drip with lavender syrup is the way to go! Iced or hot!

Modern, open coffee shop with small selection of breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Props on their coffee! They serve two self-serve SINGLE ORGIN COFFEE OPTIONS with free refills. They serve a light and dark roast. Today's light roast was Ethiopean beans which was nice. I would have preferred pour over with beans like this but coffee was much higher quality than most breakfast joints. The BREAKFAST BURRITO was good. It is pre-made, and they heat it up. It was made with quality shell and ingredients. It was an authentic southwest breakfast burrito with eggs , black beans, and delicious seasoned tomatoes.

On our continued trek to find the coffee shop in Durham, we landed at Foster Street Coffee. This is the place where the hip come to sit and enjoy their Java with their laptops and do homework. That is the downside as there was no seating due to the laptop mafia. As a result we sat outside on a brisk morning. The place allows dogs and I'm starting to think I need to bring my epipen (allergy) with me more and more. The mocha latte was outstanding and the chocolate croissant was divine. I will be back again but maybe a little earlier in the morning so I can grab a seat and enjoy this cup of goodness.

We enjoyed the lattes and chia bowl we had from Foster Street Coffee. If you're looking for a good coffee shop in downtown Durham, I recommend this place. Service was good and we enjoyed hanging out at the cafe too.We stopped by Foster Street Coffee during a trip to the Durham Farmers' Market: https://www.yelp.com/biz/durham-farmers-market-durham. This coffee shop gets busy during farmers' market hours: Saturday mornings, year-round and Wednesday afternoons, spring through fall. Expect a longer wait during farmers' market hours. We had a hot Caramel Latte (12 oz for $4.50) with oat milk (+$1), an iced Foster Select Latte (20 oz for $5.50) with almond milk (+$1), and a Chia Bowl ($4.75) from the display case. The "Foster Select" is a latte prepared with vanilla, honey, and lavender. I'm a fan of sweet and creamy lattes. The iced Foster Select was less sweet than we both anticipated. Not bad, though. Still refreshing. I liked the hot Caramel Latte better. It was smooth, comforting, and hit the spot. I'd order it again. The Chia Bowl was delicious. Parts of it tasted like a pudding dessert because of the sweetness and texture. The bottom layer of the bowl was chia seeds I think soaked in coconut milk. The top layer had small slices of Mandarin orange and lots of coconut flakes. The middle layer contained pineapple and I believe some other seeds or nuts. Overall, the bowl was really good, and healthy too.We sat at one of the cafe's tables on the sidewalk and enjoyed the food and drink with some items we had purchased at the farmers' market, specifically the excellent pastries from Strong Arm Baking: https://www.yelp.com/biz/strong-arm-baking-oxford-2. It was an ideal little breakfast. We got to people (and dog) watch from the sidewalk. Good times. The cafe itself has a clean, contemporary design. I liked all the black-and-white photos and the billowy, cloud-like ceiling tiles and light fixtures. Neat interior design and cool vibe.Isabella M was our cashier and she was nice. Despite the cafe being packed, our order came out in a reasonable amount of time. The men's restroom was clean.Foster Street Coffee is located next door to the Durham Food Hall, on the ground level of the Liberty Warehouse apartments. Street parking is available directly in front of the cafe on Foster St. At the time of writing this review, it costs $2.50 per hour, Monday-Friday, 8am-7pm. It's free otherwise (e.g., weekends) plus during city-observed holidays. On a farmers' market Saturday morning, we were able to park for free in the surface lot on Foster St, in between W Seminary Ave and Hunt St.The business officially opened on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 7:30 AM: https://twitter.com/fosterstcoffee/status/1012752565686202369.

Stunned that they serve coffee, but don't offer half and half. Just milk and oatmilk. I should have asked for my money back. Decent coffee once I found half and half to put in it, but I won't be going back. Obviously.
