We had lunch with friends today at the Flor de Cuba. We order drinks like batido milk shake, café con leche (latte) and water. We try the fried chicken and breast chicken with black beans and rain. The food was delicious and service was friendly and excellent. Here is a place that you will find in Miami.Good place to have lunch at a reasonable price.

I don't eat at Cuban restaurants often, but I should probably start going more regularly!! I ordered the Ropa vieja, and the beef was more on the tougher side, but it was still really good, and I enjoyed eating it with my side of fried yucca sticks and plantain. My dad got the grilled red snapper which was delightful, but what I loved the most about his plate was the boiled yucca. I am a fried yucca fan, but after yesterday, I can confidently say that I am a boiled yucca fan as well. It was amazing, especially with that garlic sauce. Also, did I mention, the service was great, and our food literally came out less than 5 minutes after ordering. Awesome. Lastly, the dessert was heavenly. We ordered the tres leches and dulce de leche cheesecake. The cheesecake was so yummy, not too overly sweet or heavy. I enjoyed every bite of it.

I've been going to this place for years now and I honestly can say there is no other restaurant in Houston's that cooks better Cuban food (and I've tried a lot). Service is good, a little slow at times but the food makes up for it. If you're looking for authentic Cuban food, THIS IS THE PLACE. 10/10

My family has been eating here on and off for many years. We don't get to go more often because we don't live very close but when we do go it's a real treat. I ventured here with two friends from the area after a spa day. It was perfect. We had a pitcher of mojitos, empanadas, papa rellena, platano maduro, and croquetas. I'm pretty sure I broke my diet this day lol I ordered the Pollo Al ajillo which was delicious. My friends ordered the Camarones Enchilados and the Snapper Al ajillo. Everything was good. We did not make it to dessert but spent a large part of the evening laughing and reminiscing old times. We even took pictures on the body cut outs outside!

Although a little hard to get to initially this place is amazing. We were craving Cuban food and this place did not Disappoint. I had the Rabo Encendido which is Oxtail Stew. OMG! So delicious. The meat just fell off the bones and it was very flavorful. If you have never had oxtails do yourself a favor and dive in, you will not regret it. The Restaurant wasn't very busy but there were quite a few families in there. Service was good. She made sure we were well taken care of plus she was sweet. Can not wait to go back.

The food was very authentic Cuban. The environment was clean and friendly. The service was good and quick. The only issue was the dessert. I'll have to try something else next time.Looking forward to another visit.

That's ok if you want to enjoy the live before 30 minutes and the rest is just DJ music. I see people bringing kids at midnight, what's wrong whit this people to let you them get in.

My husband and I were invited to a family members birthday party here. The live music experience was amazing! Free for women but $10 for men to get in. The food was delicious, BUT I didn't enjoy the portions. My husband and I had separate plates and decided to order another plate of food to split because we were still hungry after our first plates. Our waitress was a little bit iffy when it came to us ordering alcohol. My husband and I each ordered $6 frozen margaritas, but were charged $24 total just for the margaritas. Because the flavor we requested was "premium" (blue hawaiian). I wish our waitress told us that before putting it on our tab...My husband also ordered a 3 Liter pitcher of beer. Our waitress said $45 at the table, but the bartender at the bar said $36... Great overall weekend experience, but I would suggest double checking and reviewing your orders once you receive your receipt. Wouldn't come here again, since I felt like we were being scammed!!

Came in for dessert. They were definitely worth coming back for. The service lacked friendliness. The ambient seemed cozy.
