Flakey's Pizza

An all-time favorite this is my go-to every time for pizza especially if it's late. My boyfriend and I definitely say this is a Houston mainstay Gem and will be 4 years hopefully. Delivery and pick up always convenient. And love the authentic ambiance including owner. Check out surrounding art and shops nearby.

Mannnnn I ordered my pizza (2 mediums) at 11:56pm for pick upThey told me "ready in 25 min"I showed up at 12:30They didn't even start to make my order, and told me 20 more minutes I left. Smh I drove to y'all and this how y'all do me. Than wanna call my phone at 1:30 am. The audacity. Y'all owe me a medium pizza for doing me dirty lol y'all pizza still good tho but I wasn't having it smh

While this place has received quite a bit of bad reviews, primarily regarding late deliveries, and shady location, I did not have any issues on my previous visit. This place is currently featured on groupon, and I also happened to have one of their certificates.I decided to call in my order as I had read the dreadful reviews regarding deliveries. Read Zain R review, LOL. We ordered the margherita pizza medium size, and a large 5 topping pizza which included double order of ground beef, jalapenos, mushrooms, and sun dried tomatoes. The guy advised me that it would take about 30-40 minutes for pickup.So this venue is actually a food truck right by the train tracks on Milby, right off of Scott street. It definitely is somewhat of a shady area and these guys are open from 6p-3am. I wonder why they keep their business open so late as they could easily be targeted late night, kinda like sitting ducks. Its possible that they attract a lot of business late night due to the clubs near by.I reached their in about 25 minutes, and was advised that they still needed about 15 minutes for pizzas to be ready. I paid and waited and was handed the pizzas which I drove home for another 25 mins. The pizzas were still pretty hot and fresh. The Margherita pizza was pretty good and had a great taste to it. The crust had kinda gotten hard, as about 25 minutes had passed since the pizza was made. Our 5 topping pizza was pretty good too and plenty of flavor. The cheese was plenty and was stretching with every slice.I did not have any issues with the pizzas, and actually enjoyed them. Again, I do recommend all my fellow yelpers to order take out and just go grab the pizzas rather than waiting around for delivery. Also if you plan to go late night, then at least go 2 deep.They had quite a few specialty type pizzas and they have wings available along with bread sticks. See for yourself, if you want to give them a try.

Note to self: never order from here again. I ordered the Margarita Pizza and the Mozzarella Sticks. Both of these items had a really unpleasant after taste which was very disappointing. The ingredients tasted like old plastic for some reason. Maybe other items taste better, but yeah, I'll never order again.

Late night delivery. Pizza and wings tasted like absolute garbage. Over paid for food and a 16$ delivery charge I wasn't told about. Do you yourself the favor. Order anywhere else but here.

Zero rating-rude service-took close to an hour to receive complete order-asked for recommendation on most ordered pizza and was told "you have a menu"-wings tasted frostbitten-ordered pizza dog and it was given penis shaped-didn't trust our order after seeing a deliberate phallic shape

This is the best pizza I have ever randomly stumbled upon! Truly a hidden gem! Not only does it taste amazing, they use CLEAN, FRESH, and REAL INGREDIENTS! No heartburn or indigestion like you get from a big corp pizza place like dominos or papa johns. I can't believe we just found this spot literally a week and a half ago and this is our fourth time back. We love Flakey's! Don't ever change for anyone. Your pizza is PERFECT!

specifically asked for pizza and wings to be cooked well done because some places tend to cook food too fast and they gave me raw chicken wings and pizza was uncooked smh

I placed an order around 12:50am and received it within 30 minutes even though the reviews were sketchy on never recieving for hours at a time. Now the prices was not bad but the quality is , there is a weird after taste on the pizza . The bread sticks would've been good if it wasn't piled with Italian seasoning on it , made them taste like straight Italian seasoning. The pizza was kind of under par as well. The pepperoni ratio excellent , there was no sauce , & the entire bottom of my pizza was black burnt from the over or grill they used is which probably is giving the horrible after taste tried to call for a refund guess they're busy now sense they close at 3. Also please update pricing on the website because it shows 13.50 for pepperoni but when you call it's $16 and no where on the website it shows $20 minimum for delivery but if you order through a third party app there is no minimum hopefully someone reads this and contact me back with a refund
