I was taken aback by the cold caramelized onions on the Crostini...and not in a pleasant way. The flavor profile just didn't do it for me. There was a bitterness that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Likewise, the prosciutto option left something to be desired. The Burrata, however, was quite nice. I would love to report that our experience improved as the brunch wore on, but alas...The prefixed Mother's Day menu stipulated that everyone at the table had to order from the menu, and even though several of the items are regularly served, they were off limits even to mothers who didn't wish to order a copious amount of food. I guess the idea of making sure your guests are happy no longer really plays a part in "service". Since we couldn't order what we wanted, we opted for the Benedict and the F&M burger. My mom felt the spinach interfered with her perfectly poached egg and crabcake. She longing stared off into the distance thinking about the far superior crabcake out at Brookwood. The burger looks amazing but just couldn't compete with other burgers around town. I can't say that the food would entice us to return. Nor would the incessant blinking light above our table. The ambiance would have otherwise been enjoyable had it not been for the light.

Gorgeous space! High ceilings, airy and stylish, boasting a wall of windows. Aesthetically, you can't go wrong with this Fig & Olive. Our group of 10 enjoyed a casual business dinner which started with wine and cocktails plus several appetizers. Standouts for me: Mushroom Croquettes and the Tuna Meatballs. Several at the table had the filet, and some had the salmon. I had the mushroom pasta, which was rich and filling. The table shared all of the desserts. I tried the Bosque Cheesecake, which was not bad but not memorable. While the servers were sweet and gracious, it took a while to get out the dishes, which was surprising, considering the dining room was near empty when we arrived. This pushed our meal way into the evening, and, given our before sunrise start the next morning, that was a little annoying. Also, I had asked to take my remaining pasta (I ate less than half of it, and although the server said, "of course!" I never got it back.Hoping this was just an off night, because I'd certainly like to return, due to its proximity to our office in Williams Tower and the pleasant aesthetic.

Fig & Olive is an upscale restaurant & bar in the Galleria Mall serving seasonal Mediterranean meals prepared with flavored olive oils. We have gone a few times to grab a quick bite when shopping at the mall. It's usually not busy, and we're able to grab a table right away.[COCKTAILS]+Riviera Old Fashioned (Sagamore Rye, Lost Irish Whiskey, Chai, and Pomegranate) for $22 - Although this had "chai" in it, the waitress told me this was an error. Not worth the $22 for this drink though. I didn't taste any pomegranate either. - 3/5[SMALL PLATES]+Panko-Crusted Spanish Octopus ('nduja, fingerling potatoes, celery, red onions, green olives, and Mojo Picón sauce) for $27 - I would avoid ordering this. It's like octopus "nuggets," and the potatoes served with it tasted off. - 3/5+Burrata di Bufala (roasted squash, pine nuts, and gremolata sauce) for $19 - The burrata paired with the roasted squash was okay. I would order something else next time. - 3.5/5[SIDES]+Rosemary, Parmesan, and Truffle for $14 - This was the best item from brunch. - 4.5/5Overall, the restaurant is nice and they change their menu seasonally. Some items are a miss seasonally, but we come back here and there to try out the new dishes. If you're in the Galleria shopping, Fig & Olive is a nice place to take a little food break if trying to avoid the food court.

Fig & Olive was an incredible dining experience that I was not expecting to find inside the Galleria mall. The service is top-notch; the team that took care of us were always present refilling water glasses, clearing plates, and getting additional cocktails. The menu is also stellar with great items made in special ways. For their autumn menu, I had the Smoke & Spice cocktail and could have that for the rest of my life. The combination of smoke and spice was perfection and was easily a standout of the day. However, the burrata appetizer with apples and beets was also stunning. You can tell the team takes pride in their preparation and ensuring quality ingredients.Lastly, my salmon main course was also lovely. The huge piece of fish was cooked very well, had tons of flavor and made me excited for the overall meal. Sadly, we were too full to try dessert, but next time I will make that happen.

I hesitate to give 5 stars for anyone, because nobody is perfect. However this was a solid 4.8 experience. The ambiance is modern classy upscale. The staff was friendly, informative, and so attentive, my glass was always full, food was hot and quickly served, and used plates were whisked away immediately. We did the brunch menu. Steak and eggs were fantastic, with gorgeous presentation, and the Chimichurri sauce was maybe the best I have had. My drink was their version of an old fashioned, with fresh rosemary as an unexpected twist. We finished up with lemon pound cake and cappuccino. Overall a great experience, and I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The perfect place for a weekend brunch or romantic dinner. The ambience and service were excellent. It's connected to the Galleria mall. There's parking in the garage or valet in front of the restaurant. The French food was delish. We had a great time throughout the night. They also have outdoor seats which would be perfect with good weather. I love the vibes here. It's very mellow but also very romantic. Would highly recommend if you're in the area.

I dined in during the holidays with family and the service is what I expected it to be. Service, wait and bartending staff went ABOVE and beyond. I recommend everything on the menu. You could taste the fresh ingredients used in each drink, appetizer and curated food item. My father and I ordered the appetizer trio (Tasting Mezze) and they were served with flatbread. The flatbread was a bit on the dry side but it was paired perfectly with the baba ghanoush, which I say is hard to find authentic flavors not made at home. I ordered the wild mushroom croquettes and it left me wanting more. My father ordered a meat platter (I am plant based), but he said it was delectable. Our food was paired with a nice espresso (it is not that strong so I had to order three of them), and my father went with the house water Acqua Panna, their selection of sparkling water was disappointing.I was beyond surprised how delicious and delightful it all was.

I recently dined at Fig & Olive in Houston, and it was a culinary delight! The menu featured a tantalizing array of dishes, each a symphony of flavors. From the mouthwatering appetizers to the exquisite mains, every bite was a culinary masterpiece. The service was impeccable, with a staff that exuded warmth and attentiveness. The ambiance was equally inviting, creating a perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. Fig & Olive has truly set a high standard for gastronomic excellence in Houston.

Since I was staying in the Houston Galleria area, we decided to look for a place that was walking distance from the hotel. A little searching brought us to Fig and Olive Tasting Kitchen and Bar. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, perfect lighting and well appointed decor. We had arrived without a reservation, but still were able to get a nice table outside. All the food choices were enticing. The best bet was the Dinner Prix Fixe Menu, which was reasonably priced at $48 per person for a 3-course meal. Since our party was comprised of seven people, we were able to taste all the selections on the menu. Appetizers were: Baby Arugula Salad, Tuna Meatballs and Wild Mushroom Croquettes. Entrees were: Moroccan-Spiced Salmon, Paccheri, Roasted Brick Chicken and Peppercorn-Crusted Strip Steak. Dessert choices were: Flourless Chocolate Espelette Cake and Lemon and Olive Oil Cake. All the dishes were superbly prepared and exuded with texture, flavor and taste, Service was exceptional.
